Knowledgable and friendly staff. Delicious, fresh and diverse bread options. We also enjoy the yummy scones and pumpkin chocolate chip loaf!

Saw the free slice sign and somehow just ended up inside the store! I was rather hungry which means I ate large slice of free cinnamon swirl while staring at the wall of delicious looking options… It took me about 4 minutes of staring while the gentleman patiently waited behind the counter. I then bought a loaf of apple crunch(Havent tried it yet) and a loaf of Pumpkin swirl(In case they never have it again…). So far everything I’ve tried has been sweet and delicious. My pumpkin swirl is swirled all the way through and I keep ending up in the kitchen for more… whooops. I spent $ 15.00 on both loaves, so certainly not cheap, but I’m pretty happy with my purchases!

I try to avoid Great Harvest because their bread is amazing and I have no willpower. The cinnamon bread with butter amazing. The staff is super friendly and always willing to let you try new options. The pumpkin bread is awesome. Great to have on hand this fall. Grab some bread then head over to Market Street Coffee next door and you have a perfect morning. Okay the bread is a bit pricey but when I want to indulge this is where I go. Gluten-free? Not at all. But seriously who cares?

I stumbled in yesterday in a hangry haze, knowing nothing about the spot other than anything named«Bread Co» usually has sandwiches. First of all, NICESTSTAFFEVER. The proprietress not only rocks some epic red glasses but she took so much time to explain the offerings to me, and let me try both the pumpkin and cinnamon breads. She even sent a piece of rye home with me for my rye-skeptic husband to try. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich — my favorite — and it did right by me. I let said husband taste a bite when I got home, and he inhaled half of the sandwich(rude). I bought a loaf of cinnamon bread to take home, and my toddler and I both enjoyed fat slices slathered with butter this morning. Absolutely charming experience and we will assuredly be back. Oh, and it’s real food? Five perfectly pronounceable ingredients? Come on. This is dreamy.

Love: 1. Caramel pecan scones 2. Jalapeño cheese bread Like: 1. Pumpkin chocolate chip muffins 2. Raspberry scones Meh: 1. The price: 4 scones for $ 9 is a little steep. But the taste outweighs the cost, and I find myself coming back here again and again. Extra bonus: Market Street Coffee house next door has some great mochas!

Great Harvest Bread is the best when it comes to customer service and quality bread and pastries! I purchased a King Cake from them this morning(Mardi Gras) that barely lasted a couple of hours at the office. For those who are not familiar with this delicacy, it is the signature cake for Fat Tuesday. I originally ordered one from a baker in Raleigh because I planned to pick it up on my way to my gym there after work Monday evening. Due to the inclement weather, I was unable to drive out to Raleigh to pick up the cake so I canceled my order. I found this place online and called to determine if they could have a King Cake available for me the following morning. and left a voicemail message for Great Harvest on Monday evening with a request to pick up a King Cake in the morning. I went to bed with my fingers and toes crossed. At 7:30 a.m. I received a call from someone at the bakery to notify me that they were placing a cake in the oven for me at that moment. It was absolutely THE best King Cake I had ever tasted — it was moist, delicious and just sweet enough. The cake was made using brioche bread, which I usually find to be quite dry to the taste, but this one was absolutely perfect. One of my coworkers who is a picky eater actually went back for seconds. I actually wished I had picked up a second cake for the office. Several people asked me where I purchased the cake, and I had no hesitation in telling them it was Great Harvest. I’ll probably pick up another one for a post-Mardi Gras dinner party this weekend. Thanks for helping me score points at the office Great Harvest!

My friend and I had some great sandwiches here — California cobb and roast beef with provolone. They weren’t the best sandwiches ever, but they were good. All the sandwiches come with tomatoes, lettuce, onion, dijon, etc… so that’s always nice. There were also several different daily breads from which to choose. The staff was extremely friendly, especially the long-haired guy. He helped us choose bread for a friend and was very well-versed in their products. I liked the variety of items, even if we didn’t buy much. Most of the stuff was a little expensive though, but they do grind the wheat there.

Popped in for a quick scone and cup of hot chocolate. Try their sample breads, so many to chose from. Great place to catch up with a friend. Staff was friendly and super nice. Love the raspberry scone and morning harvest bread. The parking’s convenient and there’s lots of other local businesses around so you can do your errands while you’re there.

Staff was really friendly. Had a cinnamon role. It was fantastical. Got a chocolate bliss cookie, these should be illegal. They are solo good. The butter pecan loaf was very taste as well. Free samples in case you cannot decide.

This is a National bread company that started in Montana that over 200 locations in the United States with each location locally franchised with the goal of giving back to the local community. That alone is a good reason to be a patron of this café that serves scones, muffins, sandwiches, cookies and bread. They do have some tables inside and outside and located next to «3 Cups» & «Locopops.» They will give many samples of what they offer. I tried the coffee cake and I nearly lost control of my knees. it was sooooo good. On the shelf as you walk in there are several ready mixes for your enjoyment such as cereals, cookie mixes, bread mixes, muffin mixes, soup mixes and cooking utensils. I had the Louisville Chicken Salad sandwich and it was some of the best I have had. The pickle that came with it was small and not crunchy. But I will go back here again. «I shouldn’t think even millionaires could eat anything nicer than new bread and real butter and honey» — I Capture the Castle SOTRUE. Have a warm slice of Great Harvest’s soft, yeasty Honey Wheat bread, and you’ll know what I mean. Or upgrade to the sweet Apple Crunch or savory Rosemary Garlic — both dreamy and delicious in very different ways. Plus, who doesn’t love generous sample slices of bread?

«Awesome bakery near Whole Foods in Chapel Hill» I’m blown away by this place… gone twice now and absolutely loved it both times. They’re open early(big plus in my book), the staff are delightfully friendly and generous with giving you(BIG) samples, and the quality of their products is outstanding. I’ve had the pumpkin muffins and another sweet loaf with lots of fruit in it(I forget the name), and both were fresh and scrumptious. I’ve gone with other people both times, also sampling their breads, and those were also great. Best of all, their prices are quite affordable– much cheaper than other bakeries in the area I’ve tried. No downsides here at all– highly recommended. Some outdoor seating, as well as a cushy bench inside that you can sit on if needed. Probably best for either takeout or on a nice day, though.

My waistline and I made the delicious mistake of falling into this wee bakery on the way home. The friendly fella behind the counter offered me a sample of their rosemary-garlic bread, making probably the easiest sale of his life in the process. It was soft and pillowy with incedible flavor, and it had to come home with me. I also snagged a generous-sized chocolate chip peanut butter cookie for my husband, which he seemed to polish off with no trouble. I especially liked the fact that I knew what each of the listed ingredients in the cookie were — no artificial flavors, no preservatives. The goods here ain’t cheap — I think it was $ 8.50 for a loaf of bread and a cookie — but it’s all really good stuff, and by the looks of things they have different breads daily, which they list on their web site. Happy carbo-loading!

Having just moved to the area, I’ve been on the lookout for a good bakery. I got a coupon for BOGO sandwiches and decided to check it out. I didn’t find a good bakery… Great Harvest is simply great. To start off with, the employees offer every customer a free sample of bread when they walk in the door. Great customer service! All the staff is friendly and knowledgable and happy to shoot the breeze while preparing your order. And the bread. Words can’t describe how amazing it is. The chocolate chip challah(Friday special) was unbelievable, as was the honey wheat bread. Full of flavor, not too heavy, clearly handmade. On Thursdays they even offer gluten free options! There are not a ton of sandwich options, and they are not fancy, but they are full of flavor and fresh ingredients. Their brownies were unbelievable(and during August, only $ 1, a great deal!) I’ll be back soon. Great Harvest found themselves another regular!

I love the bakery here. I bought lemon scone, raspberry scone, banana nut muffins, and the pumpkin seed bran muffin. Everyone loves it. The texture was soft and moist but not too much that makes it soggy. The best part is the flavor is awesome. I think they must have used fresh ingredients when making these wonderful pastries. I tried the blueberry cake, although it wasn’t my favorite but the amount of blueberry really made it worth another try. You can actually taste the berry instead of just tasting the flavoring. I will definitely come back for more. There is no seat for you to sit but most people ordered to go. If you want, you can order the pastry here and go next door to 3cups for coffee although this place also sells coffee. I came early in the morning and saw them making these wonderful products by hands… one by one… the clean and airy interior makes me want to come back for more. trust me, I’ve been in the back kitchen and known how they usually look like. If all the bread is made right in front in this condition, it’s definitely worth a trip… hope you try them out!

I walked in here for the first time and the man running the place greeted me with a big smile and asked if I would like a free piece of sweet bread. What a great business model. I love this place to death. They bake everything fresh and by hand, and their menu changes daily so you’re sure to have something new available. Their breads are varied and absolutely delicious. Try the Sweet Carolina, which is a dark bread with sweet potato and pumpkin spices. Boom. Definitely the first stop for the discerning bread lover.
