My girlfriend and I were craving for sushi and we Unilocaled this place. We were hungry when we got there so we ordered a lot. We got the dragon roll and the crunch tuna which was really good. We were still hungry so we ordered their today’s special blue mountain crab rolls and the sashimi Sakura. I guess there was a little misunderstanding since we wanted to try their variety sashimi boat but when it came out, it was only one type of salmon. The food was good overall and their service was excellent. I only give 4 stars because I didn’t get to try the variety sashimi boat. We will definitely go back here again. It’s totally worth the money.

Went here for lunch with a work colleague and the food was excellent. Service was very good, although they were not very busy, which surprised me for as nice as the restaurant was. The atmosphere is great and the dining area is quaint and well maintained. I will be back!

It is very sad that they close down. It was one of my favorite sushi place. Now, I have to look for another one.

Everything ordered a sushi .it with salmon, smoked salmon, fatty salmon, and yellowtail and it was INCREDIBLE! Each fish melted in your mouth and were wonderfully fresh! So happy we came here.

I have been going to Fuji for months now. My go to sushi place in Centreville. Its located in a large shopping center where Lotte is. Ive had the udon, Salmon bento box, spicy sushi combo(3 different spicy rolls, very Big), and a couple different nigiri rolls. Everything tasted fresh and portion size was good. Most meals came with Miso soup and a salad to start with. For desert i usually get the tempura banana(deep fried banana with a chocolate sauce) . Service is always great and waitress is very friendly. If your in the mood for sushi go here and not those big food chains in the area.

My go to spot for sushi in Centreville. Food — My husband and I always order: — the Olive Tree Roll(yummy! Shrimp tempura) — the lunch special’s bulgolgi with rice — comes with cup of miso soup and heavily drenched ginger dressing(it’s alright, hubby didn’t like it) Service — It seems during lunch time, there is only one person serving. We managed to go at a time when it’s not busy and we are practically the only people there. So I could see why service is slow. It would be nice if they hired one more person. Price — Reasonably priced, not high. So we were able to eat at an affordable price. Having their lunch special makes it easy on our wallet. Place — Looks good, spacious but careful of the tables. Underneath the table has a horizontal bar that will hurt your knees if you pull into towards the table.

Great sushi, gyoza, and service. They also have ramen Korean or Japanese style that is not listed on the menu. Great place for couples, traditional aesthetic.

I came here late and I was the only one here. The food here is nothing too much to rave about. The miso soup was ok and the chantilly roll I wasn’t fond of because it lacked the full flavor of the roll. It was definitely the larger portion of sushi. I ordered a pair mackerel which was good — thick and tasty.

I thought it was my first time here, but once I arrived I realized I have been here before. when I remembered that I was here before I got excited because I remembered it as being really good! I had stopped in on my way to driving somewhere else(McLean?). Unfortunately this trip wasn’t as stellar. Perhaps being the only customer there put a damper on things. it was about 830 on a Wednesday night. The food was still good but the wait staff was just okay. Maybe she was told she could go if no customers showed up, so I ruined her early release? Not sure but she didn’t seem to care about getting answers to any questions I had. weird! I started speaking some Japanese and she just smiled… so am guessing she wasn’t Japanese or at least didn’t speak it? Once again, I am not sure. Whatever the reason I likely will not return… except to maybe check in one ‘last’ time, especially since my first visit left fond memories…

5 stars! Not because of perfection but because of exceptional quality, service and value. I get tired of experiencing one of two things from Sushi places: 1) good fresh food but inflated prices(or charging for each little thing like a soup or salad) or 2) just plain bad sushi, lacking I’m freshness, creativity and taste. Neither is an issue at Fuji! When I saw the lunch specials, At fair market price, I was drawn inside. However, when I learned that my salad and soup were complimentary, I had to ask 3 times in different ways to be sure it wasn’t just a misunderstanding based on language barrier! Sure enough, no charge for these and thy were almost as fresh and delicious as my Butterfly Roll was. Service was fast and friendly. At the end, my waitress brought me sweet fresh oranges to finish off the meal. I complimented and thanked her and my sushi chef profusely. I am DEFINITELY coming back here! :)

A great place for lunch sushi. By coincidence I also at sushi later in the day at Otani just across the plaza and this wasn’t as good unfortunately. The value is good, but flavor of the rolls and fish wasn’t as good. I’d be back though as the ambiance is good and there were other things on the menu I’d like to try.

The restaurant was nice, I enjoyed the food and the service. It’s in a random strip mall, so we didn’t know what to expect, but I enjoyed the experience and the food was good too

Korean operating sushi shop. Taste is mid level. Nothing special. Not even close to high standard sushi taste. Service is above mid level. A clean and well design restaurant. Overall, clean restaurant, good service, ok food, cheap price. This worth a four stars in fairfax. Just don’t expect you can get very high standard Japanese food here.

I’ve visited this location twice. First time was ok, but I will not be going back after the second experience. The middle aged waitress appeared annoyed that my party of 3 had walked in the door. Given that there was only 2 other diners in the restaurant, this was the first sign that we were in for a bad lunch. The middle aged waitress was quick to bring water, but she left us alone for over 15 minutes before coming to get our orders. There was a bit of a language barrier, so any questions we asked were met with confused looks. We offered to use the sushi roll order papers on the table, but she waved those away and took our orders verbally. With three people, we ordered one bento box plus 4 sushi rolls. Miso soup and small salad with ginger dressing was refreshing but also delivered a little late, so the meal came before we finished. No big deal except that she tried to clear our bowls as we were still eating which was awkward. When she delivered our meal, only 3 rolls came out(one of mine was missing), so I left feeling hungry. We’d have said something to try to correct it, but decided to just proceed to get the heck out of the restaurant. As for the food that did come, the sushi was very good, but the fried tempura in the bento box was too greasy, limp and not palatable. The remainder of the meal was good. The meal ends with complementary dessert — a fried banana with chocolate sauce(delicious) which is what bumps this rating up to 2 stars. Then came the aftermath — I have been eating sushi for years and never felt sick afterwards. About an hour after eating that day, I started to feel stomach pains which stuck around longer than I would have liked. I became well acquainted with the bathroom. I’ll spare you the details, but will not risk a repeat experience by eating at this restaurant again.

Everything about this dining experience was awesome! Who would have thought this strip mall area would have some authentic and creative restaurants? Before venturing inside, I clicked the Unilocal app to see that this place had some really good ratings! The service, the food presentation and the food taste were all very impressive. The portions were slightly less than expected but overall they provided an excellent experience. Once we walked in, it was refreshing to see that they took the time to decorate. Most asian restaurants in the burbs look like the renovated Pizza Huts and have plain coffee shop table and chairs. This place had nice ambiance and even had some entertaining decorations that kept the kids entertained. The tempura was served hot, they used panko breading for their shrimp and the vegetables were original tempura batter, all very crunchy which can be a challenge at most Japanese places. The sushi was fresh and they soup and salad for everyone in the party. To our surprise, we were treated to a complimentary tempura banana with drizzles of chocolate! It was certainly melt in your mouth! We will definitely visit again!

** 1.5 stars** I came here today with a friend for lunch. We were the only ones in the restaurant and the waitress just kind of hung around our table and stared at us while we looked at the menu, which made me very uncomfortable. We ordered the Salmon Sashimi for $ 7.95 to start off as an appetizer. We received 5 pieces of sashimi instead of 6 pieces. My friend found a piece of scale in one of them. Not only could they not properly scale the salmon, the pieces of salmon were partially frozen. They didn’t fully thaw out the salmon before serving it to us. The least they could do was make sure the salmon was not frozen since we were the only ones dining at the time. I ordered the«Rock Star» roll(with salmon, avocado, tempura) for $ 13.95. The avocado was lacking(extremely thin pieces). The tempura tasted dry, and flavorless. Again, I thought the menu said 10 pieces but we only received 8… I definitely feel like a «Rockstar» that the menu so called claimed… If the menu & the actual sushi rolls aren’t consistent, leave the number of pieces off the menu!!! My friend ordered the«Eel and Avocado» roll for $ 16.95. Very delicious. Again, for the price, the roll was extremely small! Half a star is added for this sushi roll. Otherwise, this restaurant would only receive 1 star. From the fantastic reviews that I read beforehand, I was extremely disappointed with my meal. I would not visit this place again.
