I know why companies go out of business. Canac specializes in attractive wood cabinetry and then discontinues any model or finish that doesn’t hit the sales numbers they expect. Unsuspecting customers who later need replacement parts are then out of luck if they had the misfortune to purchase cabinetry that didn’t make list of most popular products. Certainly I get the bottomline implications of carrying a minimally popular item, but I see no sense in alienating customers who are obviously loyal to your brand. Hasn’t anyone thought about the cost of marketing, free catalogues, magazine advertising, convention booths and builder presentations? Isn’t that meant to garner new customers? It was ridiculous that I was unable to get a matching piece of replacement wood from this company even though the salesperson I spoke with was very pleasant and eager to help me. Poor customer service.
