I have never had a better experience with a coffee shop than I have here. I moved to the neighborhood a year ago and live just a short walk away. First off they are open at 5 am when I start work stupidly early, they are always cheery and make a good start to an early morning. ALL of the baristas are personable and friendly. I have never had a bad experience here. There is a specific reason to write my review though. Other than the remarkable service I have always received here. The other morning I was having a particularly difficult morning. My 4 month old son had been up sick all night and I arrived at 5am for my usual morning drink. I said good morning got my drink and left. I put my drink on my car opened the door and my coffee spilled all down the front of me. I went back inside to clean up and was using napkins, Devon? Devin?(I can’t spell) got my a wet rag to clean my boots off and had already started making me another drink, when I went to pay for my second drink he told me to put my card away. That is a good way to turn someone’s bad morning around and keep a frequent customer. It’s safe to say I will keep coming back.

Great little coffee shop! Staff is friendly, ambiance is comforting and welcoming, and the view of the water is gorgeous. I like simple coffee, no artificial flavors for me lol, and the flavor of the coffee here is great. They also have baklava and I am a sucker for baklava lol.

A friend wanted to go to Coffee Rush for a drink she really likes there awhile back and being a loyal gold card Starbucks’ customer, I felt guilty but I decided to go with her and try their coffee. The parking situation there leaves a lot to be desired, but quickly learned we’re better off parking at the end of the row of parked cars. Upon entering Coffee Rush, there was a wide assortment of ages of people enjoying the atmosphere, the lake view outside and especially their drinks. It felt inviting, warm and welcoming. The barista gave us a cheery hello and took our drink orders and the orders for the people in line behind us! I wondered how on earth he would remember all of our drink orders, but he did! It was truly amazing! My friend ordered her favorite drink like a pro. One day, undecided what to try, I ordered the same drink she did – a 20 oz. Black and White Frost no whip. OMG! It was out of this world! It was smooth going down and there weren’t any chunks of ice in it like at Starbucks. I think it had chocolate or cocoa powder with Ghiradelli White Chocolate sauce in it. The Coffee Rush gets quite busy sometimes and the line may go to the door, but it moves quickly. I find their coffee isn’t as strong and bitter like Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. Be sure to ask for your stamp card. Monday’s are double stamp day. The staff is always friendly, professional and efficient. Please stop by and check out Coffee Rush on the lake! It will become a regular stop for you like it has for me!

I love this place and would frequent it very often a while ago. Coffee Rush is set on a lake and it is beautiful! You can sit on the patio and enjoy your coffee, talk with friends and do homework. People bring their dogs all the time. I believe it is family owned and they have another shop in Gilbert. I always get the black and white frost. It’s not actually coffee, but it sure is yummy! Sip this on a warm afternoon on the patio with a friend. It is always a perfect combination. They also sell desserts such as baklava. Baklava is a pastry like dessert with a flaky crust and layers of sweetness. It pairs well with coffee. I believe pistachios are on top. Warning: don’t wear your swimsuit under a cover up here. They will come out and yell at you for it and kick you out. This happened to me a while ago LOL. Not the friendliest time I had with the employees here, but generally they’re nice.

Absolute favorite place for coffee. It’s a family outing or date with my hubby. I have grovel ordering at other offer shops cause they know what I like & can come up with something new if I’m not in the mood for my usual. This place is like family. Great great coffee!

I’ve been going to this place for years and don’t get me wrong they have excellent coffee. However recently I decided to cut processed and sugar items out of my diet for health reasons. Unfortunately coffee Rush doesn’t have any good teas that alternative to sugary coffee drinks. Considering that I’ve gone there forever I offered to Pay for Wi-Fi code and not even get to drink. These guys are such dicks they would not even let me pay them for Wi-Fi code when they don’t even have to give me the item I paid for. What amazing customer service. I guess they treat people who’ve been loyal to them really really well. I recommended this place to so many people I’m never recommending them again.

I have been a customer for years, and today I felt the need to write a review. Unfortunately not a nice one. This afternoon, I was waiting for a friend and he seemed to be running a little late. So I decided to open my book and read while I wait. 2MINUTES in, a worker comes out and places a menu on my table saying that I need to order a drink if I wanted to stay. I let him know of my situation and he tells me that if I intend to stay longer that I needed to order a drink. I let him know I understood, and was confused because he kept insisting that I get a drink soon. I told them I would, but felt it was such a rude gesture. So still in slight confusion if I was allowed to sit and wait, I asked him«So am I allowed to wait for my friend?» He rudely nodded and slid the menu towards me and I was so annoyed at that point. At that moment I picked it up and handed it to him saying I already know what I want because I am a frequent customer and he insisted I keep it. As if he was trying to remind me to get a drink. That’s just bad customer service, and no matter how much I enjoy their drinks and location, bad service = bad everything.

Three stars only because they are so darn nice at Coffee Rush and it’s right by the lake. I feel like I’ve given them a fair shot with black coffee, espresso, and chai. Not very impressed with anything. The baristas take pride in their work though and are very friendly and fast. I’ll come here to hang out with friends but it would never be my go to coffee shop.

i love this place. nestled perfectly next to a lake the vibe and the coffee are both quality. i have to say however the thing i love the most is the music selection. being a 70’s classic rock guy this place plays a ton of great jams from that era. i highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun relaxing place to hang out.

I have frequented this business for years, but after today, I will never return. I was meeting a friend for coffee and she was running late. Even though it was a 110 degree day in June, I decided to wait outside at one of the tables so she would not miss me when she arrived. Fifteen minutes went by and a man came out and asked if I would be ordering beverages. He also told me that no outside drinks were allowed, referencing my cup of water. I told him I was waiting for a friend and I needed the water because it was 110 degrees outside. He then asked again if I would be ordering beverages and told me I was only welcome to sit at the table if I ordered something. I explained once again my friend would be arriving and we would order together and that I was not loitering. I told him he was making me feel very uncomfortable at an establishment I had patronized for years. He then made a very insincere apology and again said I was welcome to stay if I went inside to order something. I asked to speak to his manager. He claimed he was the manager. At this point, I told him that I felt uncomfortable and I no longer planned on ordering drinks since he had treated me so rudely. He again made a sarcastic apology and told me to «have a nice day.» I left nearly in tears. The polite thing would have been to sincerely apologize as soon as he realized that I felt accused of loitering and perhaps to have offered me some water or a complimentary iced tea while I waited for my friend. I was not treated as a customer or patron by this berserk barista, but as a loiterer or petty nuisance. I understand there may be an issue with non-customers sitting at the outdoor tables, but there far greater and more gracious ways to handle people so that they do not feel ashamed or less-than. I am sorry to say I will be finding another coffee shop because this one clearly has unkind management.

update: They accept credit/debit for all amounts now! :) My favorite place for coffee. The parking directly outside is usually pretty crowded, but there’s almost always space in the surrounding lot. The lines usually aren’t long and the employees are always really friendly and get the drinks out fast. I really like the location by the lake, though there are sometimes a lot of smokers outside. Love the coffee and other drinks, especially ice chai!

3 strikes and your out. Strike 1: Very slow wifi. Had to install the Unilocal app to write this review which took 2 minutes to download 19mb. Strike 2: They have a beautiful patio with a lake view but everyone on the patio chain smokes. If the smell of cigarette smoke bothers you then don’t waste your time here. Strike 3: I’m still pissed of from strike 2!!! Not sure why they would allow all that smoking. It’s unbearable!!!

First of all, the wi-is not«free» as other commenters say. You HAVE to purchase something and then you receive a piece of paper with a multi-step process for a 3-hour web connection. That wouldn’t be half-bad if it weren’t for the fact that it’s terrible internet connection! Forget doing anything fast; streaming is impossible. The coffee is so-so. Nothing better than anywhere else. The parking is horrendous. One of the worst plazas in the east valley for parking. BECAREFUL. The view of the lake is nice, but if you’re not a smoker, you won’t enjoy the patio. Stick to Coffee Bean just a mile away.

First off: the coffee stinks. It’s not undrinkable, but it’s not good – just somehow off. Why go to a coffee shop if the coffee you’re going to get is crappy? But there are plenty of other reasons to avoid Coffee Rush. A big one is that it’s about the least green coffee shop I’ve ever encountered. They don’t even have ceramic cups on the premises. If you’re staying and you would like to drink your coffee in a mug instead of a paper cup, you have to bring your own. After establishing that, I ordered a piece of baklava. The counter person asked if I wanted it «on a plate or in a box.» «On a plate,» I replied, figuring it would at least be ceramic. But no: It was styrofoam. The really annoying thing is that the baklava was already in a paper muffin cup and didn’t need to be on a plate. Just one more way for Coffee Rush to add to the waste in our landfills. If you want water, there are large styrofoam cups for it. Parking at this location is truly terrible – the stalls are too narrow. I was seated outside and watched patron after patron struggle to get their cars into the stalls and then struggle to get out. The water that other reviewers find so picturesque is a vivid green man-made«lake» that anywhere but Arizona would be called a duck pond, because that’s what it really is. If sitting by a duck pond and drinking lousy coffee while people smoke all around you is your idea of a pleasant morning, then this might be the place for you. If not, you’ll be better off at any number of the valley’s other coffee shops, including Cartel Coffee or even Starbucks.

Location: the parking is horrible. Space is too tight and hard to find a parking. However, it is right next to a lake and it is so beautiful and relaxing to be enjoying a copy of coffee right next to it. Service: it was awesome. Worker gave me suggestions on different types of drinks and was Patience with us. Love it Drink: I ordered a mocha and it was great. Rating: I’ll definitely come back here again.

Quaint little coffeehouse with a picturesque view of the lake in the Sprouts shopping plaza. There is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating here. They offer a plethora of drink options, and have quite a few sugar free flavors too for those that like flavored coffee. For milk alternatives, they offer soy milk. I had an iced strawberry mocha latte. The coffee itself was smooth, but for me the fruity, tangy flavor of the strawberry was a little weird contrasting with the slightly earthy tones of the chocolate and coffee. Service was good and our drinks were made in no time. Overall a good place for coffee.

Drink the iced chai tea. It’s superb. Look out over the water from the patio. Get hooked up to the wifi. Free, with a purchase. Better than Starbucks. Support a local place. Relax. Let the baristas rush. We had cabin fever and needed a place with some energy. Coffee Rush was just the ticket. The drinks are good and there’s lots of options. The staff is friendly and quick. People come and go, but many stay to hang out on the patio. Some are smokers. We came to use the wifi and hunker down on some projects. They’d prefer that you use cash for orders under $ 3.99. Wifi is doled out in 3 hour increments, by way of a unique login(one per person). The internet was like molasses at first but picked up speed once we got connected. It’s a nice little establishment and I hope to revisit soon.

This place place blows Starbucks out the water. Atmosphere, staff and coffee are the best. They ever serve cheesecake and baklava. If you really want to relax they have an outside patio next to a lake. It gets pretty crowded so get their early… and yes free wifi. RUSHTOCOFFEERUSH!
