Top Nails

I’ve been coming to Top Nails for nearly 2 years now. I fell out of love with my previous salon and found Tony at Top Nails. He is so fast and does a fantastic job on my French shellac manicure every time. The price is a little higher than some other salons but he is totally worth it. I’ve had pedicures here as well and they are great also! Highly recommend. They care about their clients and will take care of you. Be aware they are a busy place because everyone loves them. They move people through quickly but you might have to wait.

I got to Top Nails at 6:25pm, knowing that they close at 7pm (I was desperate! lol). I had been wanting to try them out but hadn’t gotten a chance to go yet. They were very nice and several employees said hi to me.
Pedicure: I got a basic pedicure. The pedicurist was nice, the pedicure was average. I feel like the pedicurist didn’t seal my polish by going across the top of the nail. I probably could’ve used another coat of polish on my toes also.
Full Set: I had nails on already which were old. A guy named Tony took my other nails off (painfully using another nail, but I got through it). He said the place I had gone too before must’ve filed too hard. Sigh. Anyway, he did my full set and a design. I liked his work, except he could’ve started a bit closer to the nail base. He mentioned that he doesn’t start so close because that’s how peoples’ nails get damaged. Fair enough, but I would’ve liked it a bit closer since the fill ins grow out so quickly. I should have told him to make my nails thin. I chose matte black polish this time, and I usually get my nails in oval shape, so when he was done, my nails looked like eagle claws (thick and black). Yuck! Mistake to get matte polish, or mistake to not tell him to make my nails thinner! I felt bad for coming in so late, so I wasn’t about to ask him to thin them out or change the polish. He did a nice design on my nail. When he finished it was about 7:40pm. Overall, nice work. I would go back, but I’d be more specific the next time. And maybe get a different person for my pedicure. The other thing, I could’ve used an actual manicure or cuticle trimming but I won’t fault Top Nails for this — maybe this is also something I should’ve asked for.

Out of all the nail salons i have been to in champaign, this is my fave place to go! Tony did my fill in and i got a pedi. the massage chair was everything! Lol i was very please with my fill in and the pedi was relaxing. Will be coming back!

I’ve been to many nail salons in CU and Top Nails is by far the best. Not only is the work done very carefully and to perfection, the owners and staff are so friendly. Getting my nails done usually feels like somewhat of a chore, but definitely not here. I am always laughing and having great conversations with the nail techs. I love this place!

I have been here several times for pedicures I have always been pleased. The employees are very polite and after my first visit she remembered me by name. I love this place and will go no where else in Champaign Urbana.

I came in with my girlfriend for a pedi-​date on a late Sunday. Although we had to wait for about 15+ minutes, we spent most of that waiting time in the massage chairs.
I don’t know about you, but I’m glad to wait as long as I’m getting massaged.
My particular technician was a bit distracted – as in she got up several times to assist other customers with payment. Her massages seemed sub par, more like she just kept rubbing lotion onto my feet. Still a good rub! But definitely not a massage.
It seems as if the tools are autoclaved, but some practices I was not a fan of. Specifically, my technician and the technician next to me seemed to recycle and reuse the same nail filer as well as cuticle instrument. When the technician was filing my toenails it felt as if she was filing my skin… but that could also be because she was distracted and looking around.
All in all, the service was a bit rushed, the wait was a bit long, but dang I loved that massage chair. In the world of nail salons… I may explore a little bit more before coming back here.

Loved getting my nails done here and my eyebrows waxed. First time wasn’t happy with my nails, but second time I had a different person & they were perfect. The first time around, the massage and actual mani pedi was perfect. My nails were a but short. But amazing place!!!

The most important i ever care about is how the owner take care of their shop, and if all their tools are all sanitized and when it comes to my hands and feet im extremely picky. Therefore, not so many nail shops welcome me as regular customer. Believe me, im not picky about the design, color or either how long the massage takes, but everything here seems to satisfy me very very well. i had my nails done here for the first time and im glad to say this will be my spot from now on, when i want to have a lil spa time to my self. There is definitely no rushing in this place. they do spend their time on making your nails looking great. Not like other shops, the nail techs here are so pleasant and happy with their customers, even they do talk to each other in their language, they always turn around and explain to me what they were talking about in case i was confused. i really do not mind coz i understand not everyone can speak English fluently, but i truly appreciate their thoughts.
the massage was good, very relaxing atmosphere, they have multiple choices of colors and i have to admit, THEY HAVE WONDERFUL AND SKILLFUL STAFFS who do GREAT AMAZINGLY CRAZY LOOKING DESIGN …
i passed by a few tables and saw a few designs and right away i told my nail tech that i want a full set with a design on, and as what i expected i turned out great. i get compliment about my nails all the time .
I strongly recommend this place, if you are looking for a nice friendly nail shop with sanitized tools, please come check this place out and you wont regret

This is my new favorite place. I love the magnetic polish. This is one of those salons where everybody recognizes you, and some of them even remember your name, what you do for a living, and your children’s names. Most of the time they are very speedy, but occasionally they can take longer than normal. They are very affordable, and have good sales on pedicure and manicure combos. Lately, With the bad weather, I’ve been getting the paraffin treatment on my hands, and it is magnificent. They can get very busy on a Friday night, so if you’re a walk in on a Friday night, expect to wait. Otherwise, I usually give them an hour or two heads up and I can get in and out very quickly. I have been to other nail salons where The nail technician does not speak very good English, so you sit there in silence the whole time. This is not the case here. The Decour is very nice and appropriate, the equipment appears very new and clean, but they could use some work in the bathroom, and I believe they are in the process of making it better. I know they do waxing here, but I have never used that service before. I do the shellac on the nails and the regular Pedicure and then I sometimes get paraffin.

Loved this place pricey but I guess I like their job very pricey

I went here on a recommendation from a friend. I was very surprised. The place was clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. The SPA pedicure was very reasonably priced. I was happy with the service and will frequent this salon again.

I made an appointment for 715 for a group and they welcomed us! I did feel bad that we kept them past close but they were really nice, and they did an aweeessomme job. They did nail art for us and it was done perfectly! Overall great place. I made a Unilocal account just to give them this review. :)
