I really like their soy milk here. I like their lemongrass fried tofu here as well. Great snacks/street eat selection.

I suppose they’re still tweaking their system here. My first time here wasn’t planned; I intended to go next door to City Farmers Market. When I noticed that they opened at 9am, my belly started grumbling and I decided to grab a bite first. So when the doors opened, there was NOBODY behind the counter. I saw people begin to bring freshly prepared items from the kitchen and into the self serve area, but nobody to take the order for the banh mi I wanted. I grabbed a soda and some snacks, and around 9:05, a young lady from City Farmers Market walks behind the register, presumably to assume duties there, but nah. She took my order, and then proceeded to NOT explain that the person who takes orders and rings them up until another 5 minutes later and she had no idea what she was doing other than taking up space. When the proper person DID arrive at 9:20, I should have just cancelled. She was flustered and based on the fact that the gentleman from the kitchen had to instruct her on how to make banh mi on the spot, I should have known to just cancel my order, but I was hangry by that point(and wanted to pay for the veggie roll that I ate during my wait). Oh, that woeful banh mi. Dry and not properly dressed. Anyway, I came back a week later; this time in the evening, and I was pleased to see someone at the ready behind the counter and seeming to know what she was doing. However, all of the banh mi choices weren’t available. It was better this time around, although she was painfully slow, and slopped too much mayo on. I also noticed that there were various com tam and other full entrees this time ready to go on the self serve line, and this is what I prefer now. There’s also two cold cases, a small one for drinks, and a large one full of other goodies. I’m crossing my fingers that everything will improve once they find their rhythm.

I was so excited to see a fast food Vietnam joint closer to me. I usually frequent VN tofu on Jimmy Carter for my Vietnam cravings. The first time I stopped by at 7:50 pm on Friday night and they hastily kicked me out saying they were closed. Um… Your sign says you stay open till 8pm? So today I stopped by during lunch to grab some goodies. I was pretty disappointed in the selection, no where near as plentiful as VN tofu and the variety was lacking. I tried to order the chicken banh mi but they were out. I ended up just buying some lemongrass chili fried tofu(not good) and pork and shrimp spring rolls(okay). Hopefully they will add more variety but for now I’ll stick to VN tofu.

New Vietnamese fast food place on Buford hwy(similar to Viet Tofu down the street). This place is located right next to the new City farmers Market. They have all kinds of cooked Vietnamese food, snacks and desserts. They also make their own tofu as well as soy milk. You basically just go in and grab what you want and what looks good to you and go. We’ve been here a couple of times since they’ve opened and both times, the their fridges and tables aren’t as full of items, most likely due to the fact that they’ve just opened. Also, the last time we went the service was slow. We’ll have to come back again(and I’ll re-rate if necessary) in a few weeks after they work out their grand opening kinks. My husband and I usually hit up Viet Tofu or VN Tofu off Jimmy Carter and get some food to take home and to eat the next day so I don’t have to cook, so I’m glad there’s another Vietnamese fast food to-go joint in the area.
