Kate P, I’m with you! What happened? This was a great spot to meet friends for coffee. I loved their great big mugs and desserts and the guy who brought his dog in! :) Darn, this was a fun place.

I have been eyeing Get Coffee since last fall when I noticed it had opened up, but I didn’t get around to stopping there until now. I needed to meet an acquaintance on my way home from work, and so I finally got an opportunity to check the place out. I love the décor and the general vibe. There is a little sitting room on the left side of the building, which is where I waited for my friend to arrive. I loved this little area, and no one gave me the hairy eyeball for sitting there when I hadn’t ordered anything(yet). After a while, I did try a coffee drink — a mocha. It wasn’t bad, but to be honest I am in love with Starbucks’ digustingly sweet and creamy mochas. What I really need to do next time is try a plain old cup of coffee, because that’s something I can NEVER get at Starbucks because I can’t stand the taste of their coffee when it’s not diluted with sugar and milk. The people there were super nice, and it just had a really chill, community feel. I wish I had gotten around to hanging out here when I still lived in the area. Now that I don’t, I’m sure I will still find an excuse to stop by again every so often.

Get Coffee rocks! When I need to meet a client, just have to have coffee with friends or can’t squash the craving for a good cup of Joe this is where I head to. Supporting local establishments is my thing and its not a difficult task to patronize this cozy, friendly and unique coffee shop in the heart of Chamblee. I do know the owner but only because I go there all the time and how could you not. Durenda rocks and so does the coffee. Thanks for having a great neighborhood place to hand and get great coffee.

Was looking for a quiet place away from home to get some good coffee and a little peace — drive by Get Coffee and am so glad I did. Friendly staff, nice space(not on top of other people like the other places) and good coffee. I have only been there once but had the Americano — the large was 3 espresso shots with hot water. It was great — and really hot. Stayed warm enough to enjoy for over an hour. I do not like the coffee served at Starbucks but often find it is the only place to go when I need to get away from home and work — the only Caribou near me is overrun with teeny-boppers and other local stores have weird, short hours). This is a bit of a drive for me but worth it for the friendly people, space, peace and quiet and a quality, strong cup of coffee.

Durenda and the gang at Get Coffee are super fun and just awesome. The coffee just plain brewed, has me switched from Starbucks to them. I love their stuff and the atmosphere is so laid back. Yaay Durenda im so happy you opened your shop! :)

«Where are you going?» «To Get Coffee!» Yay — another café option besides Starbucks! Located in a converted gas station near the Chamblee Marta, I could see this place become my new little hang-out(with free WIFI, too!). I like that it also has a separate more private«living room» which totally feels like you’re at someone’s house — and I love that they have local art on the walls for sale. Tonight, my friend & I both ordered a Caramel Macchiato — which were served in mugs instead of the disposable cups w/lids. Sure, mugs are great b/c they’re green but they don’t keep your beverage warm :( Definitely check this place out. Support the local cafes!(Oh — and I can’t take credit for the catchy two lines at the beginning of this review — got that from their website.)

Get coffee — what a great name. And now we have an actual coffee shop in Chamblee — and of course it has history. The venue is a former old gas station and the interior is very welcoming — sofas, tables, and an outside patio where you can even bring your canine companion. So far I’ve been with the«battery acid» but they have quite the extensive menu of coffee and tea creations, as well as fresh pastries, and sandwiches.

Now open on Peachtree Road, Get Coffee is the first coffee shop to open in historic Chamblee. I visited during their soft opening, and although I’m not a coffee drinker, I was impressed. The folks working there are extremely nice, and the service was quick. As this is a soft opening, I understand they are still in the process of making sure everything is running as smoothly as they want. One thing they may want to work on: the black tea I ordered was so hot I couldn’t drink it for 45 minutes(quite literally!). Perhaps the next time I’ll order it as an iced tea. Their coffee selection seems to be robust, though as I said I’m not a coffee drinker. According to their menu, they also offer tea, cocoa, soups and sandwiches. Overall, I was quite impressed with what they’ve done to this 1959 Pure Oil station, especially since I’ve been walking and driving past it every day for the better part of 10 years. I’ll definitely be back to sample some of their other items!
