I came here with my friend(who is from Chalmette) we had called a couple people asking what the best place would be and they both said Pretty Nails. So we walked in to the nail salon which seemed pretty busy, it was small, clean and super air conditioned. There were 3 ladies working and one of them told us to pick a nail color and have a seat. Within 5 minutes we were in their spa pedicure chairs soaking our feet in bubbles and having our backs mechanically massaged. Pricing was cheaper than i would have paid in the french quarter but i would say about the same as I would pay at any regular old nail place in california. the woman that did my nails did a good job and my polish lasted for a month. Only thing that bummed me out was how she emphatically said I sure NEEDED a pedicure. yeah — I have been walking around endlessly for days. Oh and the fact that she used the skin shaver thing on my blisters. that was a bummer. so overall, if you happen to find yourself in chalmette(perhaps going to their walmart) and you need a toe job, check this place out. they were clean, fair priced, good quality and, if you are masochistic, a delight!
