Went here last night; their ingredients are fresh, and the owner is very friendly and accommodating. The prices are more than reasonable, and it’s the only restaurant of its kind in the area, so unless you want to drive to the city, this is where you’ll go for good Mediterranean food.
I’ve also noticed that Mediterranean restaurants outside of New Orleans proper often have flavors that are blanded down for American tastes. Not here; I was happy with the taste quality of the food. I’m also always happy when pickles are included with platters/sandwiches, which they are here.
This is also a great place to go if you haven’t had much Mediterranean food in the past; their owner is happy to give out his recommendations, and they have a number of different menu items for different tastes, including a tuna fish pita sandwich.
