Not impressed at all. This place is run down and they dont even bother to mix the powdered flavor into the milk… got clumps of strawberry whatever it was in my drink and paid almost $ 4 for it??? No thanks.

The boba is not fresh… tasted hard(old) and was clumped together. We got the slushy taro w boba and the passion fruit tea w boba. The slushy taro did not taste good at all. Tasted almost fake. And the passion fruit tea was too sweet and did not taste refreshing as one would think, especially on a hot day. As soon as you step inside, the décor and ambiance should give you a big clue regarding the product… not inviting or appetizing at all. There are several other boba places in the area that are MUCH better than this place.

— Soggy boba — Straws aren’t even big enough to have some of the boba fit through — kinda expensive I’d rather go to dolphin bay or tapioca express.

It’s such a humble place and I’m actually surprise with how good their bobas slushes are. I’ll be back :)

This place use to be okay when it was owned by a korean lady. Now, its horrible. I went here recently and ordered a simple drink, Strawberry Milk Tea cold. I thought to myself«she can’t possibly mess this order up». Wrong. Not only did it not taste like strawberry milk tea but she didn’t have the lid closed right so she double the lid which made it look so messy! The service was ok. I don’t know if she was the owner but her kid was on the counter top touching all the straws and she didn’t stop him. I don’t think that is sanitary. Overall I would never ever go here for boba especially since she couldn’t even make the easiest drink to make!

A small Boba shop that’s located in a small plaza surrounded by many Filipino establishments(Jollibee, mom and pop restaurants, and retail stores). Just like Boba places in other areas(like SGV where they serve Taiwanese/Chinese food), this one offers Filipino food as well. I ordered a large Taro Milk Tea with boba and considering whenever I order this, it’s normally iced(with cubes and not slush) and considering I didn’t order the«hot» one, I was expecting this to be at the very least, chilled. I get my order and lo and behold, not only did it barely have any ice cubes which melted almost immediately, it was warm. Room. Temperature. Warm. I told my dongseng about it and to her reply, «that’s why we should go to the Korean ones». Unfortunately, she’s correct. Sorry my Filipino peeps, but she’s right.

this place is back OPEN!!! I really like the purple walls! No crepes or food, strictly boba as of right now. I tried the mango slush w/boba and it was actually really good. a lot better than the old management. The prices have increased with the new management. So deduct a star for pricey boba. They had a sign for 50% off milk tea boba between 5 – 9, but i’m not sure if that was just this particular day i went. I’ll keep going for convenience but i’ll be searching for a less expensive boba location.

They were having buy 1 get 1 free for milk tea bobas, so that’s what I got. The boba was soggy while the milk tea was watered down and offensively bland. No enjoyment was had.

im not one to brag. but i got there at 8 and went to the boba’ place there was like 2 people infront of me and no one behind, and me and my chick orderd two crepes and my buddy also ordered 1 too, we paid and they said a few min(okay cool we will wait) people start comming in and they are getting there orders *wth? we’ve waited until 9 and went up to the worker and told them twice that we were there and nothing :/waited like 10 min because they made another crêpe. and guess what? it wasn’t ares either so we booked… pretty disssapointed :/went to subway instead bomb as hell! ontop of that i guess it was a good thing i didn’t get the crepes because the chick that was making them was handling the food poorly; because, she was doing the cash register, handling money and cards and going back to the food while wearing the same damn glove. «if i was a food critic i would so mark them off”-me maybe its just my perspective because my major is culinary arts and im well trained, or i just think thats nasty someone serving you & touching the food with dirty ass hand!

This is my go-to place for boba, since It’s down the street from my house. It has a special place in my heart for introducing me to boba, but it’s disappointing to me that the drinks are always hit or miss and there’s really no standard that the makers set. I drink milk tea boba exclusively, and its unfortunate that I might go in one day and get a nice mix of milk tea with fantastically sweetened boba, then go in another day and get a milk tea mix that’s missing all of the sugar and boba that was made without any sweetener. Then I might come in later that day and get a milk tea with boba that’s likely to cause your average person a heartache. Hey, Boba Joes, how about sampling your product before offering it up to the public? Even though we all have different tastes, I find it hard to believe that there would be such discrepancy. All the same, until I find a better boba place or decide to do it myself, this is where I’ll be, buying my boba!

Former Flame I don’t think this place is called Boba Joes anymore, they may have even started a different Unilocal!listing for the new name. Nonetheless, I’ve been to this particular place many times during my high school career & it looks as though it has gone down the $hitter. The first owner was VERY nice and took pride in being friendly and serving great drinks & eats! Who knows, maybe he still owns the place but just doesn’t man it personally anymore. This is what I came back to after so long… Highlights & Low-lights: *2 lovely ladies behind the counter & three gentlemen seated as customers *No greeting or helpfulness was emitted from their direction *On top of that they WEREN’T smiling & looked at me like I was crazy for coming in to order something; they were too busy talking to each other & the guys that came in before me; I had to SMILE to get one to even THINK about smiling back *It looks like this is a small mom & pop shop that hires people and doesn’t really train them well(hygiene, customer attentiveness, & how to get customers coming back, etc) — I’m not gonna hate since I worked at a place with similar low standards when I was in High School. *They still serve the regular boba menu(milk teas & slush) *They also still have a good amount of savory items(their crepes were the BEST) *Not sure how it all tastes now, but it doesn’t look like I want to give it a try *Purchased the almond milk tea & since it was the first time I’ve ever had that flavor before– it was just okay. I could have been a little sweeter(coming from a less is more type of person) *Boba was pretty gnarly; tasted like its been in the fridge for a good amount of time, not soft at all & to prove it– I had boba bunches in my drink(globs of 5 to 8 stuck together for dear life) *No music, just the sound of them preparing my drink & checking to see if one of the guys bagel was good or not(don’t mind me and my cute son ladies!) I think I’ve experienced much better service at the local liquor store(…where everybody knows your name…) & the drink was not worth the 4 dollars I gave them. I was far from impressed and they really lost out on a good paying customer(which they probably don’t care they lost).

My spouse and I discovered this place about 5 years ago and fell in love with Boba and Crepes! Their crepes are«Japanese style» according to the former owner, but they are my favorite! Crispy on the outside, with Nutella and banana, sooo good. You can’t smell them without wanting one for yourself! Also they will make some boba drinks with Splenda instead of sugar, a big plus for some of us who can’t have sugar. I recommend a(non-blended) decaf easy-mocha with splenda over ice with boba. Or you can get the Taro blended icy with Splenda– not bad. The name has changed, the staff has changed(teenagers, what can you do?) but the food is the same– still my favorite crepes anywhere!

It’s a nice, average teenager-hangout boba store, but a little more rundown and cramped than most. There are only 4 tables seating 2 – 5 and the strip mall it’s located in is a tad sketchy(same lot as Jollibee). Food-wise, what shines here is the crepes. As a previous reviewer noted, they do the hard, crackery style by default, but I told them ahead of time I liked my crepes soft and they were happy to comply. Good service. The crêpe tasted fine, nutella and fresh strawberries on top made it very tasty. The boba milk tea(it came half-price with purchase of the crepes) was… curiously watered-down. But b/c the crêpe is sweet, I actually liked this somewhat flavor-light milk tea, but I imagine if you came in just for a boba, it wouldn’t be too tasty. The boba texture is fresh/soft but in odd, varying sizes, some of which are so large, they get stuck in the fat straw. Still tasty enough once it reaches you, if a tad mushy. I got the nutella crêpe($ 3.75) + strawberries(extra $ 0.50) and a boba milk tea(half off from $ 2.50, I think). They have free wireless but it’s really not a great place for working; there’s hip-hop music on; soft enough to be able to talk, etc, comfortably over it, but too loud to make this place very good for concentration. Overall, the crêpe was great(especially for the price), though I had to ask them not to make it too hard. In the middle of a Sunday afternoon, there’s no one else around and the sketchy strip mall outside isn’t too bad. Definitely NOT good ambiance, though – stick to Jumpin’ Boba or Tea Station for that.

so i’ve tried«the works» crepes that was recommended by one of the reviewers… maybe it’s just me, but i like my crepes soft & chewy. this place. it was hard & crunchy… it’s like fortune-cookie-status(okay not really, BUT)… i’ve had better… inside the crepes was filled with nutella, kiwis, strawberries, & bananas, topped with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and a bite-size ice-cream scoop.(YES they charge ONESCOOPOFICECREAM for a dollar)… like literally, you can fit the ice cream in one bite, so not worth it!(I LOVEICECREAM they need to give more!)… other than that… interior décor looks nice. service is nice. i guess it’s a great place for a chat and for desserts. they also serve coffee, boba, teas, banana split, shaved ice, smoothies, yogurt, bagel sandwiches, and more.
