Eric’s Style And Barber

I was introduced to Eric’s by a co-​worker and he has been a heaven send. I can’t do my own hair at all, the talent at Eric’s has done some amazing styles on me that I just have to wear and not fuss with it. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone.

Eric is AMAZING! He can color, highlight and cut my hair all within 1 hour! He knows all the current hair trends and he is very creative as well. I have always been very pleased @ Eric’s!

Eric is the best — I have been going to see him for as long as I can remember. I’ve been living in NYC for years and will hold out to get my hair colored until I come home and can see him. Recently I «couldn’t wait» to get my highlights done so I found a hairdresser in New York and went through with a something «new and fun». I hated it. I called Eric and told him I was coming home and begged him to see me. He came in early and on extremely short notice and made me go from miserable to happy in a matter of two hours. He’s simply someone you can’t pass up the opportunity to see. I promise he will not disappoint.

Eric is the best in Centerville! He is super quick and always knows exactly what I want/​need done. I always leave with a fresh cut and great color!

This one’s for all the fellas in the area looking for a quality cut. I used to go to a generic barber shop in the area. The last straw was a terrible cut that was noticeably longer on one side. I took a business trip to Lansing, MI, and by happy accident found a good barber there who fixed it. I vowed no more cheap barber shops. This place delivered. You’ll pay a little more, but it’s worth it. I swung by after work, no appointment, and was promptly helped by Johnny. What I noticed was his almost exclusive use of scissors (very little electric shaver) and the time he took to make sure everything looked right. Take note that you can’t tip with a credit card, so bring cash. It’s not worth saving $ 10 or so to go to a lesser place and risk a bad cut. Go here. Your hair deserves it.

Eric is amazing! I drive a long way to have him cut & style my hair because I’ve yet to find anyone to match him. He’s creative yet incredibly fast. I can get a cut and highlight in about an hour. I don’t know how he does it, but I’ve nicknamed him Eric scissor hands!

I read all the reviews on here and decided to give them my business. I was not disappointed! I was a half hour early and they got me right in. He listened to what I wanted and even gave me my hair that he cut off to send in to a donation place. :-) Got shampood and conditioned, my hair cut, and a blow out styling all for $ 39.

I have 2 very picky teen boys and they wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. The guys at Eric’s salon are all really great at what they do. It’s quick and so affordable. We never need an appointment and even if we have to wait a little, it’s well worth it. I recently convinced my nephew to try them and within minutes of getting his cut, he texted me to tell me how great his experience was.

Eric is amazing. My two daughters and I go there and we all say the same thing «he listens to what you want». How refreshing to have a stylist work with you and not just do their own thing. Also, you get great color and cut without having to spend half a day at the salon! Eric is amazing and the other staff there are excellent as well. Very friendly and clean environment!

My husband always walks right in and has wonderful service. They do a great job and keep it a clean cut hair style every time. Very reasonably priced!

I drove 45 mins to have an appointment with Eric and it was very worth it!!! I would recommend him to anyone. Cut, highlights, and style $ 110 (not including tip). He’s awesome!!!

I have been going to Eric for 13+ years & I would not go to anyone else to cut my hair! I have never walked out dissatisfied even when I have sat down in the chair & said to him «Do whatever you want!» I carry his business cards around because I get stopped & asked who does my hair & I have referred many friends & strangers. My very picky 15 year old daughter would not trust anyone else with her hair so that says alot. My mother flies out from Seattle to visit & her first stop is to see Eric for a haircut! If you are looking for a froo froo salon/​spa then this may not be the place for you, but if you want a good cut and/​or color every time, then Eric is the person to go to!

I love Eric, I’ve literally been going to him for my hair cuts /​highlights for 10 years now. He is extremely consistent and will always cater to your schedule and work you in for appointments. I have nothing but good things to say about Eric and his team. I can’t see myself going any where else! He is extremely affordable and he is straight to the point, won’t try to wheel and deal you and try to get you to buy random salon products. He is amazing, definitely go to him!

One of my dearest friends used to do my hair (and she really is the best), but she ended up moving to Florida, so I needed to find someone to do my hair. I’ve been known to spend a pretty penny on my hair, as long as it is done right and comes out perfect. A friend of mine has been going to Eric for a very long time, and she highly recommended him and his services. She has very long hair like I do, and her hair always looks nice. I decided to make an appointment with Eric, and I’m very happy I did. My hair turned out great, and it wasn’t very expensive.
He did a great job matching my color and highlighting my hair. He is friendly and all in all a wonderful hair dresser. I have a perpetual fear of letting anyone cut my hair, because everyone I’ve ever let cut my hair has always taken off WAY more than I ask. Eric really understands when you say «just a trim.» My *only* qualm was when I was getting my hair washed — the person washing my hair didn’t wash the color out from underneath, and I had to get rewashed. However, that’s the only problem I had with my entire experience.
Like other reviewers have noted, this is not your typical barber shop. Make an appointment (they are pretty flexible).

First let me say the guy who left «one» star and has only been coming to Eric for a «couple years» obviously doesn’t have a clue what he is talking about. Eric is not a traditional «barber» where you can just walk in and sit down and expect to get your hair cut, he is a «hairdresser» where Appts, must be made in order to be seen. You may get lucky every now and then if you walk in, but it is not at all like a traditional barber that you can just walk in off the street and expect to get worked on.
I on the other hand have been going to Eric for the past 9 yrs. I began seeing him when he worked next door in the nail salon and he rented a little corner in they’re shop. He then opened up his own shop two doors down and how happy I was for him as he had worked so hard to make his dream of owning his own shop happen. Eric use to work for Alexander De’ Paris but hated being told by Alexander that he had to cut hair Alexander’s way and not the customers way, so he left and started cutting hair on his own in the nail salon. He believes 110% that you listen to what the customer wants and you cut hair the way the customer wants.
I am a very picky person when it comes to getting my hair done and will hit the roof if its not done right. I use to get my nails done at the salon he worked in. While getting my nails done, I would watch Eric cut hair and I was extremely impressed with the work that he would do. Every two weeks I would get my nails done and each time was shocked at the before and after looks that Eric’s customers would walk out with. I was amazed at the transformation and decided after about two months of watching him, that I wanted him to do my hair. I found a picture of what I wanted done and made the appt.
I was stunned at the work he did, he cut my hair exactly like the picture and he was amazingly fast at doing it as well. I was at that moment a lifelong customer. I have referred many of my coworkers as well as my mother who lives in Va. Beach to him. They too are now permanent customers. My mother drives down from the beach to have her hair done by him, and my coworkers have now been customers for more than 6 yrs with him.
Its very rare to find a hairdresser that can do work like he does and one who listens to exactly what you want and can provide it to you.
I don’t know what the other guy was talking about that Eric doesn’t cut hair much anymore, but I am here to tell you that Eric will never stop cutting hair. He is booked solid daily and is by far the busiest one in his shop. He takes great pride in doing hair and will go the extra mile to make you a satisfied customer.
Trust me when I say you will not regret seeing him. Yes his prices went up just a little. I use to pay about $ 25.00 to get my hair cut when he was working at the nail salon, but now he has his own place, I pay about $ 35.00, which is still by far much cheaper than these other salons, that claim to have great hairdressers. I look at Eric as a «celebrity style» hairdresser. He is that good at what he does, but your not paying $ 80.00−200.00 to get your hair cut by him.
