Always a delightful breakfast stop. You have to look hard for something not to like. For me it was the jelly. Just one type. Everything else was great.

My 7 year old and I stoped, in hopes for fish and chips. However we settled on shrimp salad and navy bean soup. And a pizza pocket as appetizers. Everything was wonderful except the chicken clucking door we were seated next to. My daughter thinks it should change barn animal noise. Example pig, cow, sheep, horse. You get the point. Other patrons thought they were going crazy as well. Lol moral of story. Don’t sit next to door at busy lunch time.

This place is disgustingly good! There was service with a smile from the wait staff however the entrée was morbidly delightful. I was ill before I finished my meal.

Stopped there on my way to Portland. I must say I am a big fan of the place itself for how quirky it looks(I am from Europe so the décor definitely looks super traditional American to me) Rockabilly in the background, random pictures on the walls… However the food itself is not the best. I could only eat half of my dish(pancakes with scrambled eggs and ham) because it was far too much/heavy but also not very good… However I didn’t expect much more. We had been driving for several hours and stopped for a quick bite. We got back to the car with our bellies full so I guess it did the job!

The food was disgusting, absolutely wretched. The atmosphere was pleasant but my god the food was worse than anything. The food was worse than Denny’s on a bad day. I offered my wife a bite of my meat loaf and she spit it out on her napkin!

Great food, huge portions, and unbelievable country atmosphere. There’s so much décor to look at your head will spin while trying to cram down all the fixings they put in front of you. We tried it out because we were charging our car at the charging station next door.

I had the chicken fried steak dinner that’s been so raved about, but it was quite the disappointment. My friend had the steak and shrimp, she wasn’t pleased with hers either. We both had mashed potatoes and both had a different type of gravy one country one brown, both equally disgusting. They serve their side salads here with beets and gold fish. Other than that it’s lettuce and dressing. We also had drinks with dinner, small and our vodka sodas were more like just club soda. We picked this places solely based on its reviews, but this is far from what we experienced.

If they took more time to put out quality home made food this place would easily be at least 4 – 5 stars. Cozy atmosphere and home style menu. Great drinks in the lounge and gambling too. But the food quality just doesn’t do it for me.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed but we were seated within 10 minutes. Our server was very friendly and attentive through the whole meal. The place itself is just too cluttered, I know the design they’re going for but it’s too much. The meal itself was good, nothing spectacular, but filling. Everything we received was typical diner food. I don’t think we would return though, for a better price you can go to Denny’s and get the same food.

I was bit disappointed as I thought I could get a nice and big chicken fried steak for this traditional homemade restaurant. Not only the chicken fried steak was small but it just tasted like one from Denny. We were recommended for homemade pot roast but it didn’t turn out nearly any good. My wife said she could make better one than that.

Food was good, service was pretty bad. They changed waiter shifts and didn’t communicate that to each other, so we sat there for 15 minutes without food and only like, 3 drinks. They messed up half of our orders and we also found that they do the thing where they cut all their lemons/limes in the beginning of the day then leave them out, so they’re bone dry when you get them. We got checked on maybe once in an hour or so, eventually one of us went up front to ask for service. Like I said, the food was good, but the service made the experience kind of bad. Maybe it was just a bad night.

Great Cracker Barrel-esque home style country themed restaurant that serves a variety of large portions of classic American fare + their signature Yak burger menu. Breakfast served all day. The food is satisfying and tasty. They make crispy fries with a nice texture and consistency. They deliver what I expected to find in a fun, kitschy, vintage farm inspired environment. Really fast service too!

Stopped at this site for lunch today. I was shocked to find that someone brought a dog in the restaurant. At first I thought it was a service animal, but found out when it was allowed too run all over the eating area. That was not the case. And within a short period, someone was walking in with another dog. If this is a pet friendly area and the owners are going to allow dogs running around urinating on the floors And around the food, I would suggest putting a sign on the door stating this is allowed. I’ll be going somewhere else from now on.

Came here for breakfast on the way with cousins and friend to Oregon Coast. Yes dinning with cousins at Country Cousins. So I was craving for egg Benedict unfortunately they don’t have it. So instead got their regular breakfast and it wasn’t bad. The regular one I had was egg, sausage, hash brown and toast. Nothing that special. As well, I also had their hot chocolate and it wasn’t great. It was those instant pack mix ones not the homemade one. But again people coming here are just looking to quickly grab a bite so the chances of them really compare the food with other restaurant is low. I am not a fan of this place. But I was hungry and didn’t really have a choice. As well, the place was quite busy so 4 of us ended up separating. Yes we were too hungry and can’t wait for a table of 4. Well there were table at the bar area but because we had BC Driver licenses, the server didn’t know if they were fake and insisted we sat at the dinning area which means either waiting for a table of 4 or sit separately. Also I don’t look underage at all and nor my cousin and friend. But I guess not a alot of Canadian people visit this place

Service was great. Food was ok… EXCEPT — there were FISHIES!!! on my salad! Was it a prank? I should’ve asked, but was too shocked to think & didn’t have the time anyway since we’re just traveling by. A little pricey for what you’re getting. Won’t stop here again.

Any restaurant that has pork chops on their menu is doing something right as far as I’m concerned. While on the road, I stopped in at Country Cousin for dinner and was pleased to see that, among all their old fashioned comfort foods like pot roast and chicken fried steak, they also have grilled pork chops. Country Cousin is decorated just like how you’d expect.. .with amusing«country-style» barnyard touches, so it’s a nice break from hours of driving. My pork chops were nothing special, but they were satisfying. Dinner came with mashed potatoes, sage dressing, country gravy, and some(bland tasting) green beans. However, I think applesauce is a NECESSITY with pork chops, and that wasn’t included. I asked the waitress about it and she gave me a big side order of applesauce at no charge. She said SHE has to have applesauce with pork chops too.. .I guess great minds think alike. Overall, this place has OK food with really friendly service, so it’s an option if you’re on I-5 between Portland and Seattle and wanting to stop somewhere interesting for a meal.

Stopped by here for lunch with my son. Great salad and he had the club sandwich which was huge and full of bacon. The raspberry iced tea was delicious as well. Nice selection of old people stuff on the menu and service was decent. It is a nice stop to get off of I-5 and have a bite to eat.

— Nice building surrounded with flowers. — Greeted at the entrance and escorted immediately to a table. — greeted by cute older man who was our server and asked about drink orders. — I had spied what looked like a handmade milkshake and ordered one along with the Dick brick burger. The burger had pulled pork in it that was wonderful. Food was great. — server was very attentive, brought our food taking extra care that we would be satisfied and taken care of. — bought a gift from the gift shop Bottom line is we’d go there again and again. We did come again. The next day to grab breakfast. This time we sat in the lounge area. The meat lovers omelet was perfectly satisfying. Server was average. My husband didn’t like the thick cut, mostly ham bacon. Oh and REAL butter!

Great fast service! We were greeted right away. It was a busy Saturday afternoon and we only waited 2 minutes. Lauri, our server was nice and accommodating. I was pleasantly surprised when we ordered and our food was out in less than 10 minutes. The best part was that the food was very good! I would recommend the country cousin to everyone.
