Smashburger

How do you go from 5 stars to 2, you ask? Well you should ask Chris. I’m assuming he’s a manager here. While the last review I posted is still completely true, I had to update it based on my most recent experience. While I was in the middle of ordering my food, I hear a gentleman in the kitchen yell, «thats the second time!» At that point my cashier turns around and proceeds to get scolded by this guy for making some sort of error. I’m appalled at the lack of decency this guy had. Not only is it a horrible lack of leadership to call employees out in front of their peers, it is flabbergasting to do it in front of CUSTOMERS!!! Our cashier came back to us after getting berated and apologized. It completely ruined my meal with my brother. All I could think about is how horrible of an example this manager is setting for the next generation and how embarrassed the cashier must be. I’m still livid and disgusted at his actions. I hope the employees here can find a better atmosphere to work and that HR explains to this guy what the difference is between a manager and an asshole!

Seasoning the top of the party and then grilling it that side down for the salty sear? Yes please! Also those veggie frites are a nice alternative to the fries if you guilt yourself out about eating shoestring fries with rosemary seasoning. Also, Haagen Daaaaaaaz shakes if you just don’t give a damn!

I am not really a fan of most fast food joints — but until yesterday Smash Burger use to be one of the few exceptions. They WERE differs because of the quality of food & service.
We were getting a new tire and decided to get a quick lunch. I was excited because I was with a Smash Burger virgin, and I hadn’t been in awhile. I was extra excited they had a patio and it was shaded.
The restaurant was not busy, but had maybe small 3 – 4 tables already served inside. We quickly went right up to the register.
The first disappointment was at the drink station with the clearly old and pathetic looking lemons — I decided my ice tea would be sans a lemon wedge. It wasn’t until we got outside to our table were we truly disappointed. Every single table was dirty — we really wanted to sit outside so I pulled out some sanitizer from my purse and between that and he napkins were able to get it somewhat clean.
Our food was delivered fast, and everything was good other than my avocado was clearly not ripe and I ended up just taking it off.
It will be awhile — if ever I return to Smash Burger :(

I have ordered from this location 4 times now. All 4 times have been completely messed up. One time I was honest to god given 2 tiny chunks for green chile on their so called Colorado Burger. Other locations give a minimum of a heaping scoop! Terrible management never even bothered to call me back about the complaints or problems. I will never be returning to this location!!!

I totally spaced out writing my review for this SB before going on my business trip and remembered while eating at a crappy smash burger in TX.
LYNN is so nice and helpful and totally is good at being awesome. I’m so glad I tried the Sin City with the Smash Sauce it really kicked it up a notch and she was prepared to make our right if I didn’t like the sauce (I never get sauces on stuff usually).

Went here for lunch today and picked up a big classic Smash Burger. When I got it home it was raw in places and medium in others. I returned the burger and the GM had a new one made and gave me a coupon for a free entrée item. While I was not happy with how my original order I came out I was moderately satisfied by their attempt to fix it. When I got home with my second burger I cut it open and found it cooked properly. Two bites into my second burger I couldn’t finish it the whole thing was coveted in grease as if it were dropped into oil after they had cooked it. This location has lost me as a customer which sucks since it’s a 2min drive from my house.

Lunch with 8 yo daughter. Wonderful friendly staff and very clean premises. First time here and staff came up to help us through the menu. This is an order and sit down fast casual restaurant but I had three different people check on us to see how we were doing and how are meals were. That is better than many full service restaurants. Ordered a Colorado burger, awesome with fresh green chiles, definite recommendation. My daughter had the bbq bacon burger also wonderful, the bacon was plentiful and truly crisp. Spicy fries were good would have expected a slightly larger potion as we had a large. Definitely return to this location

Better than average burgers, good sides. We tried haystack, fried pickles, and reg fries. Milkshake was okay but not worth almost $ 4 and a half. It was pretty empty so the food came quick… Would def go back. Mush better than five guys, by far. :-)

We ordered 2 regular burgers, a kids chicken meal, fries, onions and green bean/​carrot mix, two small drinks and one Butterfinger malt. Every single item is sold separately. The burgers are 5 to 7 dollars each, french fries cost three dollars, drinks two dollars. Each adult meal was $ 12, and the kids meal was five dollars which included drink and fries. The kids meal is the best for the value. I thought $ 35 for two adults and one small child was a lot for hamburgers. I tried the truffle mayo, meh…
The Butterfinger malt was really good and they offered three kinds of ice tea and several carbonated beverages and the drink station was clean. And hello, they serve beer! Bonus points for that ! The mustard sauce and barbecue sauce served with our meals were both very flavorful, pungent (in a good way) and added to the experience. Lettuce and tomato on the burgers were very fresh and crispy. The restaurant was clean, the employees were friendly, and the menu items are not what you see at every burger joint. See photographs on Unilocal for menu options. I did not give it five stars because the price was high and adult male family member left hungry due to small portion. The malt was the star of the meal. Not the burger…

I never really review fast food joints– never really see the point. But although Smashburger is a chain and in the same vain as some fast food places, they are totally way out of the norm! I complain about the prices sometimes when I’m up there ordering but as soon as I start eating, that all goes away. I love the smashfries. Yum yum yum. They even have these buffalo smashfries that has a small kick to em. But I can’t steer away from my love of the normal smashfries. The burgers have always been quite tasty. I get the basic smash burger n add bacon to it and its great. The hubs always gets this mushroom truffle burger or something to that effect and loves it. Next time I have GOT to try a shake. How have I been eating here for so long and have never tried one?!

This location is near home for me, glad it opened. Love the grilled chicken salad. The fries and onion rings are just too thin to my taste. You only taste the coating, not the good stuff inside. On the other hand, the fried dill pickles really taste like … fried dill pickles. Because they are thick enough that the pickle taste comes through.
One weird thing — I usually come with the whole fam, yet they bring the food to you individually, as each item is finished. Am i supposed to start eating while the others just watch? And so, they make half a dozen trips back and forth to your table. I assume they did not plan to have a space to consolidate food orders. If you agree that this is weird/​undesirable, let the management know. It also contributes to them forgetting items, because they never have a chance to look over the whole order at once.

What a disappointment! We love Smashburger but this location just doesn’t have it!!! Ordered the avocado club and they forgot the avocado. Had to ask for it. Ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and they brought a grilled sandwich… Had to send it back. Smash fries were over the top greasy. Sitting in a pool of grease at the bottom of the basket. Chicken sandwich and avocado club were over cooked! What a wasted of money… Only quality food item was their shakes! They did that right!

I am so glad this location opened up so close to my house. I love all their burgers, specially since I can top them all with a fried egg :) My go-​to menu item is the Spicy Baja Chicken sandwich with extra toppings of truffle mayo, grilled onions and a fried egg. Their veggie frittes and sweet potato smash fries are also awesome.
The staff at this location is very friendly. I had to dock one star because they are a little slow and sometimes screw up on orders that have been customized (e.g. no tomatoes, no onions etc.). On most Friday/​Saturday evenings, the line extends to the door, but the staff does not display any sense of urgency in moving the line along. Since I usually order online (take out) and pick up at the special counter in the store, the long lines don’t bother me :)

Burger looked just like the photo! Was craving a burger, and Smashburger delivered. Smash fries were good too! We love thin and crispy fries… so we were happy. Oh, and the chocolate oreo shake… wow! If you want a splurge, Smashburger is the place.

Burger’s at Carl’s Jr are tastier. This place is like fast food quality with restaurant prices. The service was good and the place was nice but I’m not sure it’s worth it with so many other options right near it.

We received a coupon to try Smashbuter since they had just opened a restaurant in our area. We had never eaten there before. My burger was dry and not very good. We both had mile shakes, and they were marginal. I can think of many other burger restaurants that would have been better. The service was very friendly.

Get the regular smashburger. the other burgers are flavorless and not as good in my opinion.
The prices are very reasonable. $ 5 – 7 for burgers and $ 2 – 3 for fries. and $ 2 fountain drinks. Sweet potato fries were on point.

Lucky to have this one just down the street. Now I have 5 guys and this one to choose from. Since this one also serves beer, I will be here more often.
Service is good, friendly and on time. Place being new, very clean. Plenty of parking and great tasting burger too. Beer selection from NB is big plus when you are munching on burgers. Don’t eat fries but habe many selection to choose from.
My last visit had less saltiness on my bacon cheese burger but today’s paired with Ranger surely brought out the saltiness.
Will be back to try the salads and other offerings.
P.S: don’t forget to get the frosted mug. Makes any beer taste 110% better.

Pretty good, the burger was over cooked, but still had good favor. Fries were not that salty as posted in the other review.
