Most of the food we ordered wasn’t anything to write home about(salmon salad, tacos, cheese fondue). The Brussel sprouts had a good amount of balsamic on them but we were able to change the type of cheese when we ordered(which was nice). The Jambalaya was very tasty! The salsa they served with the guacamole had gone bad because it tasted acidic. We mentioned it to the server and he stated he would let the cooks know. So, the service was okay. We were out on the patio and placed next to a hose that went off every couple of minutes. It was an odd sound to randomly hear. It did make me jump a few times during dinner(semi-entertaining, I guess)! Thus, I’d give this restaurant 2⁄5.

Had a wonderful time at Hodsons tonight. Megan made us feel so comfortable and inviting. Will come back just for the service. She was Awesome!

Ouch. This one was painful. Being newer to the burbs, we wanted to check out the restaurants in the area and thought that this sounded like a Hillstone kind of place. Major miss. We were seated right away and greeted by our server, but after bringing water for the table, she disappeared for about 10 minutes. Long enough that one of us stood up to see if we could find her. The entrees came out pretty fast, but left us feeling queasy by the time we got home. I’m still baffled how this place could be so wrong, but I won’t be back to try and figured it out.

Ordered the Ahi tuni salad… yikes. Full ahi steak came out in 5 minutes. Had to cut myself. Seemed off. Greens were a disaster. I’d pass on this one.

Visited Saturday, May 29. Won’t be back. Roasted Brussels were steamed or boiled and tossed with sauce, nuts. Spent over $ 100.00 Terrible warm meal and apps.

I live close by and I have wanted to try this place but found the other reviews off putting. That was a mistake. We finally came here when I was too tempted by a groupon to pass it up. Everything was great here. The hostess was kind and friendly, the restaurant is beautiful and this was a great spot to unwind at the end of the day. We got the artichoke to start and it was good and our waiter frequently checked on us. My husband tried the jambalaya and I had the fish sandwich, swordfish was there fish of the day. Everything was cooked well and presented beautifully. I can not wait to come back to this place for brunch or lunch. It’s just around the corner from Whole Foods and the area is great for a nice stroll. When we went on Wednesday it wasn’t even crowded, we’ll definitely be back!

I want to love this place. I really do. It’s beautiful — inside and out. Even the ladies room is awesome. Every server we’ve ever had has been wonderful. Even the wine is reasonably priced. That’s where it ends. The food is horrible. Today took Mom there for Mother’s Day today and, what a disappointment. We all ordered off the special menu, and we all had cold food. My crab eggs Benedict was cold, the eggs were overlooked, and the crab did not taste fresh. The side of hashbrowns was so cold and undercooked, they made Waffle House look gourmet. Somebody, please — get a decent chef and this place would be a 5-star!

The food has been better… The table ordered the artichoke to start which was more chard than usual Asian pear salad with salmon and the pear was so hard you couldn’t eat it and the Carbonara wasn’t very flavorful Ended with cheesecake and it tasted like it sat in the freezer too long.

Time for management to go back to the drawing board. The food was lackluster and food timing was completely off. Had soup appetizers and entrée show up at the same time. The chicken corn chowder had been sitting for who knows how long, the corn was hard and chewy. Short ribs were dry and stringy and the burger was more like a hockey puck. The upper management should take note the the manager tonight looked like he showed up to work after a long night at a bar, shirt wrinkled, untucked and dirty. The service would be much better if our server along with a couple others weren’t huddled in the service station texting on their phones. At the price point for their entrees this restaurant needs to tighten the screws and recognize that changes need to happen and happen fast!

We live close to Hodson’s. My wife and I came here quite often when it first opened and enjoyed it. After a year or two, the food went downhill and we stopped going. A few weeks ago, we have it another shot. They have a new chef, are changing the menu and the service was excellent. I had the prime dip, which was outstanding. My wife and I are fans again and look forward to our next visit!

Stopped in here the other night and will definitely be back! Cool vibe, good music, tasty food, and great service. Jason was our server and was great at making suggestions as this was our first time in. Loved the Colorado draft options, too! I got the prime dip and it was SO good! Keep it up Hodson’s, I’m a fan!

This way my first trip to Hodsons. After hearing many great reviews, I decided to try it for myself. Let’s just say I was a little more than impressed. First off our server, Brooke, was outstanding. Based on her service alone, my wife and I will be coming back. Very knowledgeable on the menu and her suggesting really hit the spot. We started off with the crab cake sliders. Next I chose the Chicken Flambé with the saffron risotto… it was otherworldly to say the least. Finally, we ended with the deconstructed Black Forest cake. It was the perfect ending for a perfect dinner. I highly recommend this place if you have yet to try it.

First time in. This place does not know what it wants to be. It has the look and feel of a first class steak joint. Open the menu you’ll find pub food and Asian-themed entrees and«sushi». The food we tried ranged from inedible-I speak of the California Roll-to very average(crab cake sliders and short rib buns). The crab in the Cali Roll was smelly and fishy(not in a good way) tasting. Even the drinks were meh. The short rib was dry and not flavorful. I will not go back until Hodson Bar & Grill becomes what it should be, a first class steak joint. Truly, you can skip this place. The one star is for our star server who was friendly and sympathetic when we left most of our food behind, untouched.

Got the tempura ahi sushi and the fish did not taste fresh and was disappointing for the price of it. I got the Mac and cheese for my main course and upgraded it with the lobster tail. The 12.00 upgrade for the tail was a total waste of money as it wasn’t even close to fresh and it was so over cooked I could hardly get any of it out of the tail. The lobster meat was tough and tasted bad enough that I could even force myself to finish it. The Mac and cheese itself was good. The restaurant is clean and modern looking. I would think maybe it’s best to go there for appetizers and drinks only.

We happened upon this place after seeing a movie. It was a big game day for the Broncos so it was pretty slow. The seemed to be operating on minimal staff. A waiter in the back of the kitchen spotted us and sat us. The place looked nice. It was modern and well decorated. I’m sure it’s a great happy hour spot. Our food took a surprisingly long time based in the number of guests but it may have been a staffing issue. I had the quinoa salad. It was good but the chicken was a bit overdone and dry. My mom had the Brie sandwich and found the chicken a bit dry but not bad overall. We weren’t checked on during our meal, but the waiter made it over about 5 min after we finished eating. I am chalking most of it up to game day and few staff. I’d try it again and think it might be better but this experience only warranted 3 stars.

I’ve been dining here for a couple of years and it’s a fabulous spot hidden in the Denver suburbs. The salads are huge, the plates are rich and amazing, and the ambience is casually classy. I definitely recommend the candied bacon appetizer, the brussel sprouts and ahi tacos. I’ve also been a huge fan of the crab cakes, any sliders they offer and the duck fries. The service has always been amazing. Katie is fabulous and we loved having her as our server for a birthday celebration.

More like ZERO stars. I just had lunch here today and I wish I had gone across the street to Bar Louie. I want to mention that we were there at 1pm and it was not busy. The inside had a ridiculous amount of flies. Our server was not attentive, she never asked if we wanted another drink or how our food tasted. I had to flag down a different server to get our server to bring the check. It took about 30 mins to get a salad and salad wrap. Idk if it’s bad management or the girl just hates her job, regardless don’t give us such bad service. The food was just okay. My boyfriend ordered a chicken Cesar salad and it was such a disaster. You would think the server would’ve told us the romaine lettuce isn’t chopped. And to make it even worse they didn’t cut off the dirty end of the lettuce. Never returning and I suggest everyone avoid this place.

I have given Hodson’s several chances. It’s so close to our house and I always think it’s going to be better. We’ve had it for brunch, dinner, and happy hour and never leave thinking that it was worth it. The best meal we had there was dinner. Hubs had the french dip and I had the portobello mushroom. But they were just OK. Brunch was terrible. Do not even bother. HH seems like it is pretty good but it left me wanting. I had the Mule with vodka for $ 6 which was good. Then Hubs ordered the sliders which sounds like it has a lot going on and may not be good but the whole combo works. The beef is blah so it really needs the extras to make it shine. The parmesan fries are delicious! I could eat a whole plate of those. I ordered the brussels sprouts and sent them back twice for being undercooked.(I did not bother having them bring it out a third time.) There’s too much sauce on them for my liking anyhow. They looked great, sounded great, but were most definitely NOT great. Instead we ordered the salmon roll. The fish was ok but the rice tasted so dry– like it had been put together the day(or week??) before. We had a giftcard here so we tried. We really did. But the food is just too all over the board — no focus– and nothing shines. Except for maybe the fries. We won’t be back.

This place has gone downhill. Used to really like the service and the food, but the menu has been slashed, food quality is poor, and the service has worsened. Drinks are watered down too. If you’re in Southglenn spend your money at Bar Louis or Mellow Mushroom. This place is no longer worth it.

So disappointed! I really liked Hodson’s! I liked their patio and their varied menu! I liked the location! Hodson’s? What changed? We stopped in for Dinner on Saturday night before the movies. Trying to get waited on was like pulling teeth(and the restaurant was relatively empty — including the patio) Eventually, our server stopped in for a quick visit to take our drink order. She disappeared but I noticed she was«hanging out» at the hostess station talking with the girls. I understand that sometimes it takes a while for the kitchen to prepare Ice Water, and I am a patient person … to a point! It was Happy Hour, so we ordered some appetizers and a couple glasses of wine. Very disappointed in the Mussels — sorry to say that not only were they tasteless, but several of them were empty and the rest were tiny. Moved on to the grilled artichoke. It was tender and good until we tried to eat the heart. When I grill chokes, I always clean out the hairs and the sharp leaves since they are inedible but… maybe Hodson’s was trying to be creative! I personally think they were just being lazy. One positive: The burger was yummy as were the sweet potato fries! Her’s the biggie and the compelling reason for a negative review — Our server scowled the whole time she waited on us. I even went as far as to ask her if we had said something wrong to upset her. «Oh, no!», she replied. «I just had a really late night last night and I am tired!». Well, that certainly makes sense to me! So, Hodson’s please try to improve so we can come back. And make sure that your servers didn’t stay out too late the night before so they can be cordial to your guests!
