I was at the Palace recently while visiting Cedar Rapids for a local business conference and had an excellent hair cut. Karen (owner) was able to fit me into her busy schedule on very short notice. I received very good, friendly, professional service at this barber shop and would strongly recommend this establishment if your schedule brings you to Cedar Rapids. I will most certainly stop by on on my next trip to this wonderful city.

I’ve been to the Palace twice this year and both times the cut has been really good. Its a bit more than I usually would spend at a Barbershop, but they make up for it with 1) quality, 2) convenience, and 3) consistency. They are located on the first floor of the Alliant Tower, which means they are accessible via the skywalk! Usually you can get same day appointments, which is also nice. The cut doesn’t involve a lot of clipper work, more scissors — which makes for a better quality cut that will wear longer. Both visits have been good and I like being able to be back at my desk within 30 – 40 minutes. They also have some spa services listed on their website, however I have not had any experience with those.
