I shrudder to think of the money I have spent at Fix. But let me tell you… it was worth every. single. penny. I tend to go away from cookie cutter places and when I find a designer I stick to them like glue. Juliet is my designer, and she is amazing.
The décor is fresh, inviting and stylish. The designers are allowed to be individuals and not wear cookie-​cutter black. They sell top shelf Oribe products and are very knowledgeable on their craft.
You can drink a freaking cocktail while processing! This place is marvelous!

This is a truly great salon! it has got character and soul without being manic or overwhelming. The cut and eyebrow trim was top notch and conversation pleasant.
I first went to just try it out but I will definitely be back!

They are really friendly and good at what they do– they just never answer the phone. Sometimes I leave them a message about scheduling an appointment during business hours and I don’t get a call back until 2 – 3 days later. A bit frustrating to not get booked when I call.

I love this place! They do everything I need (hair, spray tan, nails) and more! The ladies here are very friendly so every time I go I feel like I’m going to a friend’s trendy place, not into an uptight formal salon. Chelsea is my stylist (she does nails too!), she is super sweet and seems to always know what I’m going for and is flexible when I change my mind. I’m always happy when I leave. Morgan does my spray tan. She makes what could be a slightly awkward process comfortable and the color turns out just right every time. I am addicted now to spray tans and do them for every major occasion. This is really a hidden gem in Cedar Rapids and I hope they continue to do well!

Perfect for locals and those who have relocated from the Big City– FIX provides a range of quality services by professionals, all with an edge that can’t be found anywhere else. Don’t be intimidated by their sheer coolness, because there is no pretention on premises, just really talented folk whose clothes make me want to shop. I have been a client of Juliet, owner and stylist, for 4 years. In a month, I usually get 3 – 4 stranger compliments/​questions about my hair, which is short and piecey (right now). Staff is skilled in multiple areas, and Juliet is dedicated to ongoing education regarding trends, practices, and products. Prices are super reasonable, especially for those used to paying $ 60 for a good haircut in the city.

Also at Christmas, the tree decorated with PBR and toilet paper– very original. Not to mention the life-​sized mechanical Grinch.

Juliet is my all time favorite stylist. She is so talented and sweet. She recently did hair for my wedding party. I could not be happier with how things turned out. She is a pleasure to work with, and she really delivers. Kelsey did make up for the wedding. She is incredibly talented as well and so fun to work with. I highly recommend them both! They do great work~
