Old School Bbq

They are doin’ it right up at this Iittle BBQ stand! We came across the Old Schoolers at NewBo market and were drawn in by both the smell of the delicious BBQ smoke billowing from the grills and the large meat pits (read aluminum pans) that housed said BBQ.
The folks here obviously know their stuff. They had pulled pork, chicken, brats and two kinds of ribs (Spare and Baby Back). On our quest for knowledge, we learned that baby back ribs have less fat, so obviously we got the spare ribs!
These ribs were excellent! A cool $ 12 for a little more than a half rack. These things were meaty, smoky and downright delicious. Better than you can make at home, and as such, worth the money. My better half, myself and our two little carnivores took these down in no time, with plenty of sauce on our faces and hands. The most telling event was our 1 year old double fisting the rib bones to get the extra meat and sauce off. Old School BBQ — we salute you!
Worth a trip if you’re at the market!
