Great popcorn, and an amazing selection of gourmet sodas, including the only place I know that you can get Moxie locally. My daughter swears by their ice cream. It’s fast becoming a Sunday tradition to go there.

I don’t think this store could do any type of snack food wrong! They’ve got great soda, great ice cream, great popcorn and great service. I was happy to discover that they carry a lot of obscure and regional sodas like Faygo and Moxie (which I promptly purchased).
I love the variety of popcorn offered, but the caramel corn is the best. Perfect popcorn-​to-​caramel ratio. Buy some for friends, family, and the boss, but don’t be surprised if you eat it all yourself… like some of my family members did.
Ice cream is great too! I had the cotton candy, which was fantastic. Long story short, everything’s delicious.

Super friendly and helpful staff. The popcorn is great. They let you sample just about everything they have. My parents were with us from out of state and they got a free bag of popcorn for being the people who stopped on from furthest away.

Wow, best popcorn evaa!
How do they do it? Where do these heavenly (and huge!) popcorn kernels come from? Surely they were grown from butter-​infused dirt?
Upon first walking into Great American Popcorn Company, you’re greeted by the most heavenly smells of gourmet popcorn and luxurious fudge. And if that’s not enough to get the taste buds rocking out to whatever Katy Perry song is currently stuck in your head, then looking through the incredible variety of flavors will definitely do the trick (funky out-​of-​the-​box flavors like sour cream and chives, jalapeño cheddar, and Butterfinger).
So what flavor did I go with that’s resulting in this rave review? Answer: award winning caramel, because deep down I’m all about the classics. Queue Ciara doin’ the One Two Step. Yeah, classics.
And for an encore, they also serve multiple flavors of Wisconsin Shoppe Ice Cream.

This place is soooo amazing! We were staying in Cedar Rapids from out of town and called to see if they were still open and the owner offered to wait on us even though we would get there a few minutes after close! The place has a great atmosphere and the owner is very friendly and passionate about the products he sells. We got the raspberry rhapsody, this —- is delicious and the Zanzibar chocolate ice creams… literally amazing. The best ice cream I have had in a very long time and I have an ice cream problem… so that says a lot. We will definitely be by again! If you are craving anything sweet or salty… this place is a must! Really really really good.

Best freaking ice cream in town! I think I get the «munchie» ice cream but I’m not positive. It has mini peanut butter cups, caramel, and other little goodies. I always get a waffle cone because there is no other way to have ice cream! I have yet to try the popcorn but will update when I do!

This place is awesome. Very friendly and helpful staff, always. Free samples too! The owner goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and the popcorn is the best in the area. Countless varieties of popcorn, retro soda for sale, and some of the best ice cream around… What’s not to like?

Serious Zanzibar two scoop of death chocolate ice cream perfection. Not much more than a popcorn and ice cream shop but it does that perfectly. A nice stop for the family, right across from the market. Large array of ‘craft’ soda/​specialty pop, ice cream, and popcorn flavors fresh and pre-​bagged.
Grab two scoops and relax on the sidewalk out front while the kids throw delicious popcorn at each other.
