Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft

The last time I was in CR there was a laser tag place next to the Collins Road Hy-​Vee. Fast forward and it is now a JoAnn Fabrics! We took my nieces to pick out some yarn for the ear warmers I was going to make them. The great thing about JoAnn is that if you forget to print out your coupons, you can pull them up on your smartphone and they will scan them from the smartphone. I know more and more places are doing it, but it is great for those of us who don’t have printers at home.
To be fair, it looked like every other JoAnn Fabric I have been to: huge and with loads of craft supplies. I do like that they highlight a different craft project at the front of the store and put all of the supplies you need to create the project with it. Of course they have a huge yarn section with lots of selection to meet most crafting needs. However, I thought the selection of crochet hooks was a bit lacking. In specific, I was looking for Tunisian Crochet hooks. Typically I find at least a couple, but this time I didn’t find any.
We did score on some very heavily discounted Christmas crafts so my nieces have crafts for next Christmas. My sister in-​law had picked up an ad at the front of the store and was going to use a coupon from the ad. The lady said they had expired. Yes, we should have looked at the date on the coupons, but why are ads with expired coupons at the front of the store?! Anyway, she was patient as we used our smartphones to pull up some coupons. This will work for my yarn fix.
