The guys running this place are top notch. I think it’s more appropriate to call them bros rather than management. These bros were fantastic– everything from the free beer happy hour with snacks that’s on them to arranging a cab ride to head out later in the night for some of the people in our group. I wish more hotels had genuine service like this where the people working genuinely want to get to know you, have a nice conversation, and relate to you rather than treat you only as a customer that’s just there for a night or two. Best non-resort hotel experience I’ve had anywhere in the nation! If you are staying overnight in Cedar Rapids, pick this Holiday Inn Express and you won’t be disappointed.

Dillon and Sam were just great… Sam let me use the microwave in the back room to heat up some cold«Need Pizza» from downtown Cedar Rapids and also helped me a clogged toiled issue(been trying to eat more fiber lately, TMI I know!). Dillon was just as great. Nice guys. Will definitely consider staying here again on business trips. Oh, breakfast is good too! Great bacon and scrambled eggs and delicious coffee. Really, it was as enjoyable as staying away from home can be. ;)

Close to the airport, just in for a quick stay, got in late and left early. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The High Speed Internet is super slow.

Stayed here while in town for a graduation at the Univ of Iowa. This hotel was clean, mostly pretty new everything, quiet, friendly and convenient. The breakfast was small but ok. Better than average small town hotel.

Easy check in, clean rooms — with a flat screen TV — comfortable beds and a fantastic breakfast. I’m pleased… And they even shaved a little off our price for bereavement.

Nice warm, fresh cookies in lobby when we checked in gave this Holiday Inn Express special! They even have a happy hour, where every guest gets a ticket for 2 drinks. They also serve chicken tenders, chips with nacho cheese, crackers, and mixed nuts to go along with the drinks – all complimentary! This Holiday Inn also has very fast Internet service. In the mornings they serve a nice warm breakfast as well! I would recommend this as a great place to stay. It’s also very clean and it is a newer place to stay! I would highly recommend this place when visiting Cedar Rapids, IA!

Most of the Holiday Inn Express locations are almost the same. Great bed, fantastic Shower, and decent free breakfast. This location appears to be fairly new and in good shape. As a business traveler having access to decent wireless internet is important to me and this location has it. Internet has been quick on each stay(unlike many hotels). No refrig or microwave in room but they do have a nice large LCD TVs. Very nice exercise room and indoor pool. I recommend this hotel for business and plan to stay here on trips to Cedar Rapids.
