Gordmans

I had been a loyal shopper but consistently low quality, return hassles-​the last one, I noticed after I got home the glue was coming loose on the sole of the sandals and I could only return for an identical (which they didn’t have) or get store credit-​even having paid cash and having a receipt a day before, a 2 pc toddler outfit was 2 different sizes, etc You really have to pay attention to the stuff before you buy for missing/​broken pieces/​damage/​etc. It’s basically an overstock store-​you see items with Kohls and Target tags. Their rewards system is phishing for info-​usually 3 daily emails and have had hassles that can’t be resolved since I signed up when they started the rewards. Points aren’t credited, have been a member for 3+ yrs and they’re claiming just since this last Jan., although I contacted them over a yr ago about missing points/​no «birthday bonus”/and lost out on the bonus for amount of purchases. They push their store credit card– and as I’ve been told trying to return things WITH a receipt and the hassle with the rewards program «if I had a Gordmans card…» My family was in town from out east, we spent more in one trip than what they show on the rewards card in 3 ½ yrs – but I didn’t use THEIR credit card…
Overall, as long as you really check over anything you buy carefully and don’t assume you are getting anything from their rewards program, it’s an OK store.

I’ve visited quite a few Gordman’s stores between Iowa and Indiana; this store is by far the best organized. Some of the Gordman’s stores can be crammed full of stuff that makes it impossible to shop through (especially around the holidays), but I’ve never had a problem here. I really like the pet department at the Gordman’s stores and the pet dept. here is no different. Really wish they would start purchasing dog items (bowls specifically) made in the USA though; as so much comes from China. The home décor sections are awesome as well, if you’re looking for a cheap way to revitalize your home. Highly recommend shopping here for pet items, décor, sports apparel (Hawkeyes, Cyclones, Cubs, Vikings, Packers and more), gourmet foods/​coffees and candles (Yankee candles have the best prices here!). I’m constantly receiving coupons from Gordman’s (mail, as well as in-​store) and they offer even more savings during the holiday season (scratch-​off tickets). They also have a rewards program, but this hasn’t benefited me yet.

Overall, I really like Gordman’s selection of clothing for men for my son and their housewares and home accessories. Great selections at great prices!
Back in December of 2011, I purchased a pair of athetic pants for my son, as did his grandmother for Christmas. Both pairs were sewn so twisted and poorly that he couldn’t even wear them! The hard part was, you couldn’t even tell just by the pants hanging on the rack. We didn’t know until he tried them on at home.
Buyer beware!

If you love sales this is the place to go! Lots of cool clothes and shoes. They even have some cool kitchen stuff. Good selection of table and floor lamps too. Neat little knick-​knacks for the home.

They have some pretty good things here, they have cheap nice brand name Cologne, and some pretty good clothing options not the best but not bad, they also carry a lot of miscellaneous items for your home etc.
