Applebee’s

Terrible place. We went on Friday. We got seated right away and everything went down from there. It took our waitress 15 minutes to even take our drink order. She kept forgetting the kids menu. She seemed very frazzled. We would ask her questions about the menu and she kept saying she didn’t know. We ask a few other waitresses and they had no clue either. The staff doesn’t even know their own menu. We finally got to order after half an hour. We got a pick two with appetizer. We had to ask for our appetizer three times. Finally got it after an hour. We then asked if there was any way we could get the kids food out now. She went back and checked, she returned and told us they hadnt even started our food after an hour and a half. Her only excuse was they are busy but no one around us had food either. We ended up canceling our order and leaving. They still charged us for the drinks and appetizer. We couldn’t even talk to a manager. Other people left too without getting food and the people that stayed looked very disappointed and mad.

Wish I could give a lower review. I’ve been here before and had a good meal but tonight was horrible. People were leaving without even getting a menu handed to them. Service was beyond bad. All of our food was terrible. We were there for nearly two hours for a terrible service and food.
I won’t be back anytime soon.

OK, everyone knows that on Mother’s Day a restaurant is going to be busy. Add in a rainy day and you are looking at a full house. Knowing this we delayed going out to eat until 3pm.
We were seated immediately and after a short wait, a manager brought some waters over since our server was detained.
When he got to the table we were ready and ordered our meals. The appetizer came out quickly, but when we asked for some extra salsa for our chips it didn’t arrive until the chips were all gone. Not so prompt service.
The meals came out but the person running the food tried to give it to another table. Luckily they didn’t take it, so as the server approached carrying another of our items, he called the first server back with it.
Husband ordered the steak off of the two for twenty menu. It was small, but it is only 7 ounces. The steamed vegetables were cold and horribly overcooked. It looked like they might have combined some old with new ones, but they were all sad looking. The spot of skin on mashed potatoes was also lukewarm at best. I had the three cheese pasta penne. The sauce was broken and again food was only warm. Plus the bread stick wasn’t there and never came even though he had said it would be right out.
Server was only adequate. He forgot coffee refill and took a while before bringing drink refills for the rest of us. The dinner plates stayed on the table even after we were done and he dropped the check. So we got to keep looking at the soggy vegetables and congealed potatoes.
Normally my husband won’t go to Applebee’s, this visit isn’t going to change his mind anytime soon.

Went for lunch with my husband on Sunday and there was no wait. Service was great and prompt. Food however was lackluster. Wings were dry. Bourbon St. Shrimp and chicken was served with NO garnish on a brown and black plate and looked terrible. The taste was ok – shrimp was fine, potatoes had zero seasoning. I seem to remember that Applebees used to be better. Seems like in order to keep prices down they have allowed the quality of the food to slip.

Nothing extraordinary, but not bad either. The cheesesticks were particularly good — good flavor, and melted but not runny. The wings were not as great, but cheap enough that I didn’t mind so much.
The late night appetizer special (half price after 9) is great, and it’s good to have options that stay open past 10 in CR.

Eh. Crappy service, fair food, weak drinks. It’s a chain. Only save is ½ price appetizers after 9pm and $ 5 pictures of Blue Moon on Tuesdays.

Very nice waitress, and the food was ok. I has the salmon. It was prepared well, and was reasonably priced. Only downside was I was in a NON-​SMOKING section, and still smelled cigarette smoke. I guess I was close to the bar. Overall, very nice place
