As mentioned in the review by Ashley g., I also ran into organization and communication issues with Kelly. An email or phone call is such a simple thing for a business to do and it is frustrating that such an awesome baker is fair to poor in the courtesy aspect of their business.
That said, the cakes were delivered on time. They were delicious, creative, and beautiful. The portion sizes were generous and the pricing is unbeatable. Sweet Austin also became more responsive as the date neared.

So, I went here for a wedding cake tasting. Kelly does her tastings out of her house in Cedar Park. She had asked what type of cake I would like to try. I believe she made 2 or 3 different cakes, 4 fillings, and 4 icings.
I just fell inlove with her swiss buttercream!!! It was just perfect!!! Not too sweet, but just right!
I was so happy I had found my wedding cake baker! Great cake and reasonably priced!
And then she sent me the estimate… Wow. There was about a $ 300 difference from when we talked at the tasting. I resent her modifications to the estimate. She sent me back an email stating the differences only took about $ 50 – 100 off.
I re-​looked at the estimate and realized she had made my estimate for approximately 290 servings and not 150!!! I sent her another email changing the sizes of the tiers.
I waited about a week and never heard anything back. I called Kelly and she insisted she sent me an email. I told her I never got one, so she said she’d send another one. Never got it.
I called her several times and sent other emails just asking her what happened and never got a response!
So, I’m giving Sweet Austin one star. Although the cake was delicious, Sweet Austin lost me as a customer because lack of professionalism. If Sweet Austin can’t even return a phone call or email, why would I ever trust them with a $ 700 cake on my wedding day!!!
