I went in fifteen minutes before closing on New Year’s Eve(didn’t know what there hours would be, as it was a spur of the moment decision to whack my hair off). The girl who was working there, Vanessa, went ahead and did my haircut. She ended up staying an hour past closing(on New Year’s Eve, remember) to give me an awesome haircut. She listened to exactly what I was after and discussed my hair type/how I wear it with me, and ended up cutting it with completely different techniques than I’ve ever had done on my hair. She was meticulous to check it and make sure that when it was straightened it would lay right and be even — something that has not happened when I’ve gone to other places. Now my unmanageable hair has a cute style that takes very little effort and practically styles itself because Vanessa tailored the haircut to my specific hair, rather than just giving me a generic cut and sending me on my way. I also got to learn a lot of neat information about hair dye during my cut. I had always avoided Smart Style salons because I thought how good of a haircut could I get at Walmart(although I learned they are part of Regis), but decided to give it a try out of convenience. This is the second time I’ve gone to a Smart Style(different locations), one for a trim and one for a bigger haircut, and both times I have been quite pleased with the professionalism and attention to detail. I typically bounce between chains, getting a 20 minute haircut that I often trim off more of at home, but I would rather pay a few dollars more and stick with Smart Style. They do a great job.

Took my son for a haircut. Was not a good experience. 15 $ + for anyone over 10 years old.
