I’ve been buying cookies from this stores since the mall opened. Anytime I want a cookie cake I am click to call American cookie. They take requests you can put anything you want on these cookie cakes order same day and receive the same day. I’ve never had any issues with this cookie store.

Remember those 5th grade birthday parties? And the kid sometimes had a delicious cookie cake, with«Happy Birthday Whatever-Their-Name-Was» spelled out in frosting? Sometimes there was a frosting football, or a frosting dinosaur, depending on whatever the little brat’s interests were? Do you ever remember thinking: «Screw the other kids – I want to eat this whole thing, so they all need to back the F off from this mother-f-in’ cookie cake?» Yes, no, maybe? Well, the company that made those cookie cakes is still around. It’s called the Great American Cookie Company. I’ve always felt the cookie cake to be a quaint holdover from the 90’s, like…“The Simpsons”, or jobs that actually pay a living wage. Frankly, I was surprised it was even still around. It is located in the rapidly declining black hole of middle income consumerism known as Lakeline Mall. Lakeline Mall wouldn’t be so bad, if every single nook and cranny of that place didn’t reek of soft pretzels and desperation. But I digress. Do NOT ask me why I was there. Do NOT make me offer up more information than will be provided. There will be NO Q&A session following this review. All I wanted was a slice of cookie cake. As I stood watching the girl behind the counter bag up my slice, I realized that tomorrow I would be joining my company’s «Live Healthy America» weight-loss/healthy living campaign. I was even on a team. With T-shirts. We were still working out the name, but eventually we settled on «Our Shake Weight Brings All The Boys To the Yard». Yeah. Not sure what I’m supposed to be more embarrassed about at this point. I chose the slice of cookie cake that had the most frosting, slathered in both dark and white chocolate. I don’t really recall a design aesthetic, but that was not what I was there for. I sat down on the bench across from Foot Locker, and began to enjoy. No pretense, no hiding in a dark corner, no taking it to the car. Just a guy, sitting on a bench, enjoying his cookie cake. And it was soft. And it was sweet. And it was delicious. «C» is for cookie, that’s good enough for me. And so is this cookie cake. No regrets, bitches. 4 Stars.

As far as cookie places go, I was happy with my experience. Ordered a big round cookie for a friend’s birthday. Staff was very nice and helpful. The actual cookie seemed very fresh and tasted great. Can’t really complain.

Went here and usually go to Barton Creek but this one was most available today… Good stuff! Got some chocolate chip cookies they made with a big 2010 on them loaded with icing and it was cookielicious! These cookies have gotten much more expensive than I ever remembered. 2 of those bears cost $ 4. It’s a good thing they take any kind of credit card lol. The only reason I give this place the 4 stars is because, face it, everyone likes a cookie once in a while and for what you get, this place really delivers. Happy 2010 to you all and may your cookie of life be filled with just the right ingredients!
