I recently ordered a sign for my business that was fairly simple to say the least. Rick told me he had done many of the signs for my business park location and would be able to do it easily, he didn’t even need me to tell him the colors because” he already knew”. After a few bumps on my part of picking the lettering and where to center it I decided to just go with what I had and hang it up. So far Rick has done fine… I thought. I took the sign over to my office to hang it up and wow! Surprise! It did NOTFIT! When I went in to pick up my sign after it was completed Rick informed me that some of the brackets in my area where not all sized the same so ours might be «slightly off». If it was that would require us to hold it in place with the screws outside the metal instead of drilling holes and inserting the screws as you would expect with a mounted sign. I was obviously not happy with that but he said it had only happened once so we shouldn’t worry and so… I didn’t worry. Well, I put the sign up and found that it was a full INCH+ off on both sides! We couldn’t drill a hole at all on one side and barely on the other. It is noticeably too small and many of my clients have not only noticed but actually mentioned it to me. I’m totally embarrassed and have no method of recourse other then to buy a new sign«because he needs to buy the material, its not free». I would have to pay the full price of a new sign! I honestly do NOT understand WHY he didn’t ask me the precise sign measurements if he was really so unsure! He didn’t even come close to making the sign correctly and I’m stuck with a sign that has duct tape holding half of it in place!!! HORRIBLE! Do yourself a favor and go to Fast Signs in Cedar Park, they make signs faster, cheaper, and CORRECTLY!

While my divorce was pending in California, I needed to locate and establish an account with a reputable vinyl letter cutter, aka a sign shop. In one of my side businesses, I had developed a method of designing and constructing custom made white boards used mostly in hospitals for patient tracking. I had some specific requirements and I needed a shop that could follow my instructions to the letter, pardon the pun. That’s when I stopped in to meet the owner and manager of CPS&B. I introduced him to my product and methods. I told him I was from CA. and had been doing these out there for about 4 years. I told him I needed some sort of estimate for his services and we established that I’d be sending my final artwork for cutting via email attachments and I would need about a 2 day turnaround. His quotes for the three sizes estimated were anywhere from 80 to 60% less expensive than what I was paying in San Jose. I was elated but I didn’t let him know. I didn’t stay in Lago Vista but a year but I did have the occasion to use their services about three times. Although the prices were right, I did have a couple of quality issues with them including having to come back into Cedar Park for newly cut artwork. I had to go and personally direct the guys and gals in production pertaining to my requirements but I appreciated them allowing me to do so. 5 Stars if they had delivered on first order but I have to admit, what I was asking for was nothing like they were use to seeing.
