Walked in simply check my ring size, clerk tells me in a very ‘are you stupid’ manner, «ugh we do, but there’s a small fee.». To which I scoff, «ah, never mind.» and turn around. Thinking over how stupid that policy was, the clerk breaks thought with, «You saw the business sign outside, were trying to run a business here, keep up with these costs.». I scoff again and exit the doors. Quality customer service and kind staff is not the way I’d describe this place. I recommend the piercing palace stand in lakeline over this business. the staff there at least treats you like you’re a customer, buying something or not.(first floor, outside things remembered store)

On Nov 23rd, 2014, I took a ring that I received from my girlfriend as a gift into this shop and asked Linh to make it larger. She charged me $ 50 to stretch it from a 9 to a 10.25. I asked her to make it even larger because it was still tight. But, she told me that my finger was swollen and that it would be too loose after the swelling went away. So I put my ring aside and waited several days to let the swelling go away. When I put it on, it was still too small. I did not get a chance to go back immediately… and when I did return on Dec 31st, she said that I only had 7 days to come back for further adjustments. Worse yet, she said she would have to charge me another $ 25 because they«can’t resize a ring every time someone puts on a few pounds». I tried to explain that it was her idea to undersize the ring in the first place, but she wouldn’t even consider it. Given that this ring only cost $ 40 to begin with, I asked her to give me my ring back and told her that she would never see me again. My suggestion(if you need to resize a cheap ring), is to purchase this device for $ 20.

Linh always takes good care of me! She found me the perfect ring many years ago and I keep coming back! She knows her diamonds! I trust her with my special ring! She is appraising it and cleaning it for me! I will be upgrading soon! Her son is good at designing rings! If you’re the type of person who wants something original unlike anyone else, come see Linh! I can’t wait to get my ring back all blinged out!

Worst jewelry experience ever. My husband bought a necklace there for me(spending a couple hundred dollars) that broke the second time I wore it. I pull it out of my bag to see about a chain repair and immediately am rudely told that it must have broken because I allowed it to get tangled.(It stayed hanging on my jewelry tree until it broke a week after we got it. Not so much.) The owner was so rude i walked out for a minute leaving my husband to deal with the owner. When I came back were quoted $ 50 for the chain repair. The owner swore up and down that any other store would ruin it by welding it and it would turn black. She wouldn’t budge on price at all. We then asked about having a link taken out of my husband’s watch so it would fit better. We were quoted $ 30 on that. We thanked her and said we wanted to check around. We then asked if we could just get my husband’s ring size before we left. She demanded $ 5. Overall one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. We wound up at the Fast Fix in the mall and paid $ 40 for the watch adjustment, necklace chain repair, and the(free) ring sizing. And no, my necklace was neither burned nor ruined as the owner of American Blue Diamond claimed. Don’t go here unless you like being spoken down to and paying twice as much as you should for jewelry repair. EDITINRESPONSETOOWNERCOMMENT The owner is right in that that necklace itself was only $ 150. Yesterday wasn’t the first time we had shopped there and the necklace was not the only product we had ever bought or had fixed. My husband had spent a couple(couple…as in between $ 200 and $ 300) hundred dollars there, though we won’t spend anymore. We also never lied – we said it broke within the first month but never claimed we had bought it in the last month. We also never asked that the owner take into consideration the fact that the necklace broke the second time I wore it – and I’m not wearing it into cage matches here. We were willing to pay to have it fixed.(Her explanation on that, by the way, was that she doesn’t make the chains, they break because that’s how her manufacturer makes them. Maybe she should find a new manufacturer? Or she enjoys selling cheap merchandise so she can make 40% back when she has to fix them?) And seriously? I’ve never gone to a jewelry store in my life that demanded $ 5 to size your finger. She’s right – she has the choice to charge for that service. You now have the choice to not shop somewhere with awful customer service. Out of four reviews on this site, three are one star – you decide who to believe. The rudest store owner I have ever come across or 75% of the people who have ever gone into their store and cared enough to write a review.(We are also the most recent reviewers.) I wouldn’t call it childish or attacking to write a negative review — I call that one of the purposes of Unilocal – to warn other members about awful businesses that provide terrible customer service and attempt to take advantage of you.

Worse Experience Ever That I ever had with any Jewelry Store. — — — - 1st off, when you buy anything from them, MAKESURE to ask about RETURN Policy!!! because why? they do not have any, once u purchase or even made the payment and change your mind there’s no return policy at all. IF so they will charge you 12% on the item. I was the the store looking for an ear-ring for my wife, found a really nice one. They tried to sell me the necklace with it, and then try to upgrade my services n such. I felt so overly pushed to buy something that I might regret. At that point a friend of mine said why dont we go else where and check out our options. So we said hold off on the sale, but the store already made the purchase on MYCCARD. They refused to do a return on my CCARD, so we walked out of the store. I have called my CCard about dispute the services, the CCARD said they have 30days to return or sending me the receipts which show I sign or not sign, base on that they will refund me. I called the store to get a copy of it, because I needed it to get refund, the store refused and hung up. WOW what a business. So I took my business to MACY, which is 3 mins away, they had a better services and better policy for return. At least I dont have to go through all these HELL for it. Laugh out Loud so bad about this, but this is my lesson in life I guess. Good luck for whoever buying stuff there. — — — – Terrible Customer Services, and Policy… Would Never go there or even refer any of my friend or people I know to go there.

Customer Svc was good. Until they replied to my post and they were very rude. Way to run a business guys. Be careful how you talk to people. But they tried to give me $ 140 for a $ 5000 watch. NOT gonna happen. On the phone when i called they offered me $ 20 gift card for coming in. The gift card was only good for jewelry purchase only, not towards a battery and cleaning. What a joke!!!

I was in the neighborhood today and used my handy dandy Unilocal app to see what jewelry stores were nearby. American Blue came up on that monocle thing(that feature is AMAZING, by the way. Good job, Unilocal!) and in I went. Linh and Huy were working there– mother and son. They were so nice. They asked how I’d heard of them, and I said Unilocal, and they said they love Unilocal. I googled and called around, and learned that various dips can cost $ 35 to $ 60. Some are dipped in Palladium or silver, but Rhodium dips are the best way to keep your white gold looking perfect. I think I am supposed to get one every 6 months on my engagement ring… well, I had my 5th wedding anniversary last week, plus a year of engagement, and no dips. Oops. I own one of those little DIY sonic jewelry cleaning things, but it broke, so my rings were looking dirty and the band was getting yellow-ish. I wear the engagement ring on my left hand and I also wear my great grandmother’s antique wedding band as my wedding band, but since they don’t lay flat together, I wear the wedding band on my right hand. It works for me :) So, I ask them how it works to redip, check up and clean both rings. They say they’ll do it while I wait! Zales has a 2 week turnaround on that, where they mail it out of store. I was pretty happy to sit and wait, knowing my ring was safe. They re-dipped both rings, checked the prongs to make sure the diamonds were secure, and cleaned and polished them with a mirror finish. I was so happy about it, I mentioned wishing I’d taken a «before» picture just to compare to people how amazing the work was, but it’s probably better that they didn’t, because they were so dirty and gross. My rings look brand new again– now I know that isn’t maybe as huge a deal for a 6 year old ring, but my wedding band was my great grandmother’s, and it looks brand new. I didn’t even know it could look as good as it looks now! After I mentioned taking a picture, they said they had a light box and would take a photo for me with their logo on it to show my friends, and that I could post it on Unilocal if I wanted. I agreed. I uploaded it too, just so you can see how great they look. I’m really pleased. It was $ 50 a ring, which is in the middle on pricing. The big difference is that every other place was going to mail them out with a two week turnaround. You can’t beat 20 minutes, especially when it wasn’t the most expensive! I’m really pleased with this place and will definitely go back. I’ve been hesitant to go to a jeweler because I’m so sentimentally attached to my wedding rings, but I felt safe and comfortable with them. They’re a local, Austin-based family business, which is always a plus. I looked around while I waited, and their other jewelry looked awesome. Linh’s son, Huy, showed me their high-tech ring design hardware where you can design your own jewelry while I waited. They’re both fully certified and educated to design and make original jewelry for people. He showed me a few, and they were beautiful. I love that it’s possible to get non-cookie-cutter designs. Something to remember for my 10th anniversary!
