This is my favorite breakfast spot in Cedar Lake. Expect your meal to be super affordable, consistent, with friendly and efficient service. Dinner and lunch are available pretty much all the time. Deluxe dinners, served with soup or salad and dessert, are a real bargain. The lemon rice soup and rice pudding are easily the best in the state, in my opinion, and I love the breakfast skillets.

Great prices and service with good food. The place is very clean and doesn’t disappoint in their main purpose – to fill your belly with good food. Everything is well priced and people pack this place in tight on the weekends(rightfully so). Check it out if you’re ever out this way.

Great family restaurant with very reasonable prices! I know liver isn’t everybody’s favorite, but it is very good at Cedar Lake Kitchen. The amount of food for the price beats all other restaurants in Cedar Lake. They are also very family friendly.

When I walked in with my husband, we were greeted immediately by someone and we were seated right away and handed menus which was nice. There was way too many food options on the menu. I was scared to order off of it because the large menu makes me wonder if everything is frozen and if anything is fresh. We ordered coffee, bacon, eggs, wheat toast and a skillet. When we received our coffee, it was hardly warm and the coffee mug was damaged and chipped. We politely asked for fresh coffee and a different mug and never received them. Our food was terrible. The eggs tasted like a sponge, the hashbrowns were soggy and bland and the toast was also soggy, literally dripping butter. We didn’t ask for butter on them either and it tasted horrible. The bacon was okay though. We had to go our entire meal without anything to drink, no water or anything which was rough. The waitress didn’t bring or offer us anything. I ate a few bites of everything and sent it back to the kitchen, it was one of the worst meals I ever tried to eat in my life. We asked for a manager and there was no manager there and found out the manager is the owner and he had just left. So who’s running this place then? The cashier was friendly and offered us a discount. We explained we weren’t trying to get anything out of this, we were just very concerned about the poor quality of food and our awful experience. Our waitress came over to us as we were about to leave and told us she’s sorry she forgot to bring us our coffee.

We come to Cedar Lake once a year and the Kitchen is our regular Sunday breakfast. It’s like a little oasis after a long weekend. The service is uniquely friendly and the food comes out faster than a greased frog. They have a new menu so look out for some new choices. Enjoy the flat screens and let the good life happen!

My wife and I love this place! They have a great breakfast selection, I love the Country Skillet. We have had lunch here as well, the gyros are really good! The wait staff is always courteous and in good spirits.

This place is owned by a local family and has a diner type atmosphere. I came in for Sunday breakfast and there were quite a few locals there. I ordered the country skillet which consisted of hash browns, green peppers, onions, cheese, sausage and two eggs. The service was spot on and the food came out hot and freshly prepared. I will definitely be back to try more of the local favorites.

We really enjoy the food and staff in the new facility. The lasagna is really good and the BBQ ribs fall off the bone and is fork tender. One of our weekly eating places. Try the daily specials. Quantity easily feeds two if a complete dinner.

Stopped for Breakfast going down to Parke County Indiana. I swear I went to Cedar Lake with my folks as a kid, but my Mom said no. Oh Well, enough of that. Food was good and reasonable. Plenty of items on the menu. Everybody was friendly. I was a little surprised, but one side was smoking and the other side non-smoking. They were separate, but you could still smell the smoke on the non-smoking side. This must be a local thing, because there were no other places we ate in Indiana that allowed smoking. So, having been to Vegas recently, where they still allow smoking in some casinos, this wasn’t such a shocker. But if it makes a difference to you, you may want to avoid this. Otherwise, I’d go back.

My favorite spot for breakfast! Their skillets are amazing(try the Benny!!) and everything is priced fairly. I love the waitstaff –they are friendly and attentive. Their new building is spacious and the décor is warm and welcoming. Will be back, and often.
