The waitress, Alicia, was all by herself and yet she was very personable. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was relaxing. Soothing piano music playing, soft colors, lightly decorated. I ordered the French toast platter. It was more than filling. I don’t know what brand they use for their breakfast sausage, but it was the best I have had. My husband had the potato soup. It was very fresh. The chef did a great job.

Had a very pleasant lunch with a friend here. Service was excellent and the food selection was good. Ordered the chicken Cesar wrap and order it again. Yum! Best part the the old fashioned cola. Loved the taste.

This place was definitely clean and seems to attract friendly older parties of no more than 4 ppl w modest appetites. Oh, and their culinary herbs r prob picked fresh from their potted garden outside. That said… I won’t come back here for breakfast again. I ordered the corned beef hash skillet and specifically asked for extra crispy and very well browned hash and potatoes. Waste of breath. They ignored my only request. Add to that the skillet is basically served in a soup bowl. It would have been the perfect vessel for some tomato bisque, but totally inappropriate and undersized for a skillet. Good thing my wife gave me her 2 eggs or I would have left hungry. Instead, I just left underwhelmed.

I was in a hurry and stopped in to get a takeout order. I ordered a chicken Panini, it took a while, but I didn’t mine because that would mean that they were cooking something. The order came with homemade soup, good. I got it home, and it was on toast which looked like it was toasted in a Panini press. The chicken was tender but poached. I think that it was a little expensive at $ 8, even though it came with soup. It was a clean diner like atmosphere, but I will not be back.

We had a really enjoyable breakfast here. The place is well-lit and has windows that go from the table to the ceiling; the room is also tastefully decorated. The menu has a wide range of breakfast and lunch items. My eggs and sausage links were delicious, and they were(too) generous with the butter on the toast! We plan on returning to try some of the many other items.

Great little place for breakfast and lunch. Gets very busy on Sat. and Sun. mornings. Everything is homemade. Best pancakes ever had. Great breakfast special for under $ 4.00. And they just keep filling your coffee! Kudos

Sunny little locally owned spot. What’s not to like? The owner knew my friends(who are Greek) and I saw her go over to several tables to greet people. They made me a great egg-white omelet off the menu. The prices are a bit high, and I didn’t like the fact that they buttered my toast for me(too much!) but the variety on the menu is what makes this place a stand-out. I would definitely go back to try the pancakes. And the Greek salad. Or a wrap…

Sophie Panagakis, formerly of the Riviera in Munster, has opened a nice little breakfast-lunch joint in the strip mall next to Lake Central High School. The décor is olivey — very cute and simple. Typical Greek breakfast place — $ 2.99 eggs, meat, toast and potato entrée. Coffee is decent. I always swear I’m going to have lunch here but haven’t yet. The servers are friendly and efficient. Sophie’s places are very, very clean and pleasant. Give the Olive a try.
