I’m so glad that I’ve stayed with this office, despite moving out of the area. The office is small, and I like it that way. It’s not a mill! The doctor is thorough and very pleasant. Recently, I was re-​examined. I wanted new frames, but I’m not eligible for another year, according to our coverage. The receptionist pointed me to the inexpensive frames, gave me the flat price, and then helped me pick the best ones for me. Simply put, I love this place. I love that they are kind, thorough, competent, and they maintain that small-​town feeling — that they took the time to listen and respond to my concerns, made eye contact, and smiled. Old fashioned customer service!

Dr. Liu is excellent! I have never had an optometrist take so much time to ensure that my prescription is ideal, and it has paid off for me over the last year or so. I just received my second set of lenses through Dr. Liu’s office, and am very happy with them. The service is friendly and professional, the pricing is clear and what I’d consider competitive based on what I’ve seen elsewhere, and the overall experience is pleasant from start to finish.

The office is also open on Saturdays! From 9:30am to 1:30pm. The doctor and the staff are fantastic! I highly recommend him to all my friends and family.

My husband and I went there because it was close to our house and Wild Iris closed down. We went based on the reviews. When we first went in, they had the a/​c off, and it was sweltering inside. How cheap is that? Why can’t you make your customers and staff comfortable?
Dr. Lui is pleasant enough, but for two glasses, my husband’s were bifocals, and we are fully covered, it was close to $ 500. We never got an honest answer regarding the cost of the frames and the lenses. Maybe I can get that from Vsp, but I’ve been looking for other optometrists in the area, but so far have been out of luck.
Primary down the blvd, had some good reviews, but inconsistent. A friend who went there for his son was initially pleased, but the second visit, the billing was shady, lots of cloak and dagger stuff, like the other reviewer who was called so rudely, I agree, «Ruby Dear.» And Ruby, please report them to the BBB. So. as of yet, I don’t know where to go. I want honest, upfront pricing. Yes, we have insurance, but everything still adds up.

I Love Dr. Liu! Me and my daughter are long time patients since he was located in Hayward. Dr. Liu and his staff are the nicest you could every meet. He is such an easy going, attentive and patient Dr. you couldn’t ask for more. No matter how many times he has changed staff each and every person adapts his easy going and polite style.

That being said, Doc is just the nicest guy. I make an appointment once a year to get the glaucoma-​spit-​air-​in-​my-​eye test, do the «is this better? one or two, one or two» and order my year’s supply of contact lenses.
He also gave me the kid’s friend discount when I told him that my insurance doesn’t cover vision. But I can’t guarantee that he will give it to you.
