I needed some empty capsules to give my cat some liquid medicine: she hates the taste, really freaks out. I called Clayworth because I have bought there before, it is close to my house. The woman who answered the phone asked someone and then told me yes, they can sell me capsules, so I left work 45 minutes early. When I asked for the capsules it took a couple more inquiries among the staff and then she asked«Chris» who told her they can’t, or won’t, sell capsules without a prescription. Pretty lame. Empty capsules are easy to abuse. Also pretty lame to waste my time by giving me wrong information: I called to get accurate information. What else to they do that isn’t accurate?

These people are beyond nice! At last minute we were advised that our Dr. office never ordered a wheelchair after putting me in a non walking/weight bearing cast. Saved us big time. We had the chair for 13 days until we finally purchased our own. Thank you very much.

The people here have continued their tradition of personal service beyond that of lsrge«box» stores. They value each customer helping with my disability.

Sorry to write this: This pharmacy has really gone downhill. Jim Clayworth sold this pharmacy a couple years ago and while we still rely on the prescription that Jim Clayworth devised, the customer service here is really bad now. Repeated delays in filling a prescription feels a lot like a little kid making excuses for not doing his/her homework –and guys, if you run a pharmacy and you are ‘out’ of one of the compounds? How about calling and telling the customer that you are delayed and you can’t deliver when you said you would? No call, no contact, just unannounced delays. Awful.

Have been patronizing this business since the late 1970’s. It was owned by Kathy & Jim Clayworth until a year and a half ago The new owners have done a superb job of making the«transition» as seamless as possible. Serena(phone & front counter) is great), Chris(pharmacist) is thorough & patient. and easily available to speak with. Dale & Robin(delivery drivers) are friendly & considerate. This is a business that is a great«value added) to our East Bay community.

This place has gone to shit since they changed owners. I was a patron to this pharmacy for 4 years and seen it at its best because the last year Clayworth has proved to be just a joke when it comes to customer care and quality of what they keep stocked. The pharmacist is a kid very young and not very knowledgeable to say the least. I started using this pharmacy to save time and to be a supporter of local business but have realized that when they switched owners that great mom and pop service I grew to love was not part of the sale to the new owners. To bad for them .I for see this place will go out of business.

I had to rent a knee scooter for 5 months and they were amazing! Their price was the cheapest around and the nicest. Everywhere I went I got compliments from my fellow scooterers and mine was said to be the cadillac of scooters. I would have given them four stars, if they had more than one scooter for rent at a time. Friendly staff and affordable.

I have been part of the Clayworth Healthcare Team for over 5 years. I believe the Clayworths and their staff do everything in their power to make your experience at their store a pleasant one. My name is Sandy. I am the technician who usually greets you when you enter the store. We specialize in «over the counter» healthcare products, Compounding Prescription Medications-including Hormone Therapy, Strip packing for Care Homes along with the delivery of medications, and we are a Full Fledged Pharmacy(accepting almost all insurance plans for medication) Please come in and meet our staff. We are open 7 days a week, Monday-Saturday 9am to 5:30pm and Sunday 9am to 3pm. So this is my review. «I am Proud to be part of the Clayworth Healthcare Staff.» Sandy C.

Small ma & pa shop. Has its advantages not being a big chain but also it’s limitations. Convenient that it is near the Eden medical center/hospital in Castro Valley.

Upside is they are open seven days a week and they don’t follow you around the store. Downside is their prices are not consistent and they do not have many name brand products like MedLine. Be careful.
