It’s McDonald’s and nobody is expecting special. We get that. But having to ask for napkins, a straw, etc quickly before the NWA closes the window and runs away gets tiring. You’ll not meet an employee of this store as abrasive as he. On the upside, if you complain about him, you get coupons for free food. My advice is to go when the NWA isn’t working. Good luck.

Extremely unprofessional, sitting in the window swearing at coworkers and hitting each other all in front of us before she turned around to have us pay. Probably won’t go back

I usually only go through the drive thru, and the line usually moves quickly. They occasionally goof up a special order, but then so do most McDonald’s(is «ketchup only» so hard to prepare?). My biggest complaint is that the ice cream machine seems to be offline more times than not. And let me tell you… when you decide to splurge and eat crappy food, you want the whole crappy-food eating experience, and they frequently deny me of this when I can’t have a McFlurry. And yes, drive thru technician or mobile communications manager or order-taking headset artist or whatever you go by… I know how often your ice cream machine is down, so you don’t have to correct me when I express my immense disappointment. :-P

I’ve been to bad McDonald’s locations, and I’ve been to abysmal McDonald’s locations. I’ve also been to average McDonald’s locations, and this one, in my estimation, falls only a little short of that mark. The parking lot is awkward, hard to enter and exit, and poorly laid out. However, once we managed to navigate into the drive-through, we always had a decent experience with their food quality and order accuracy. They do manage to forget sauce about half the time, though, so there’s that to consider. A previous reviewer pointed out that their Filet-O-Fish sandwich only had half of a piece of cheese on it; that’s actually the correct amount according to the McDonald’s Sandwich Assembly recipe. No matter what restaurant you go to, the fish sandwich is *supposed* to have only one-half of a piece of cheese. Yes, that’s stupid. Yes, they’ll probably charge you the full amount for extra cheese(thirty cents or so) to get the other half of the piece of cheese – not an extra slice, but only as much as is already on there – and that’s stupid, too. But that’s McDonald’s at fault as a corporation, not this location in particular. The restrooms when I was there smelled of urine, which they shouldn’t have because it wasn’t an overly-busy day and there weren’t enough customers in line to prevent every single staff member from servicing them. The whole place wasn’t exactly well-kept, either, though it didn’t seem excessively dirty, just disorganized, unkempt, and the restrooms smelled. I used to stop here basically every morning on my way to the Renaissance Festival during the summer for breakfast, but I’ll probably find a new place. This isn’t too bad if you want McDonald’s, but it isn’t great, either, and there are other options just down the highway on the Wilcox/Wolfensberger exit that I feel are more deserving of patronage.

If there could be 0 stars i would give them that. Overcharged me by $ 4. Messed up my order. Did not give me cheese on my sandwiches. It was impossible for the girl to give the right sandwiches. Did not want to give me the difference(my original order was $ 10). In the end asked her to give me food on the house. She agreed. Inside the bag there was no ketchup for fries. And on the fish sandwich there was only half of the cheese piece.

Unfortunately for me this is my neighborhood McDonald’s so I end up reluctantly paying this poor excuse for a McDonald’s a visit more than it deserves. Bottom Line Upfront: * Parking — Poorly designed parking lot, hard to get in and out * Interior — Sucks, many tables are typically dirty not to mention the restrooms * Ambiance — They have invested nothing into making this a nice inviting place to enjoy a cup of coffee * Service — I sat in the drive through once for over 20 minutes, not exactly what you might consider to be «fast food» * Quality — For some reason the food here doesn’t even taste as good as other McDonald’s, you would think that it comes pre-cooked, somehow they manage to not even serve what you might expect from a descent McDonald’s at this location * Play Place For Children — None(This would of course cause the owner to spend money and invest a little in his business.) * Employees — Most try to do a good job but you can tell that they don’t take much pride in the establishment The only reason that this location is still in business is because it’s located directly next to the Castle Rock Factory Outlets. If it were not for this prime location I think this place would have closed down long ago. In my opinion the owner needs to invest back into his business to improve the overall customer experience. I realize that this is a McDonald’s so the bar is set rather low, a small amount of reinvestment into the business will pay dividends! — Teddy D

I have been to this location a handful of times only because it’s the closest McDonalds to my house. The food is always terrible and usually cold. The patties on the burgers always look and taste like they have been sitting out for hours before being used and the only reliable item on the menu is the ice cream, if the machine is working. Employees just seem dumb here. They usually mess up our order on the drive through screen and it takes them several tries to finally get it right. I don’t believe I have experienced a rude employee there yet, so a point in their favor. I have given this McDonalds enough chances. I will choose to go elsewhere for my fast food burger/fry fix from now on.

SOO bad. I’ve been here a few times, and I think there has only been one time someone’s been nice to me. The customer service is awful, and the food is nasty… ven for McDonald’s. The location on the other side of Castle Rock is way better.

This location isn’t very good. Parking sucks here. The drive through is okay but the dinning area sucks. It’s always pretty busy too. I’ve been to better locations.

Please see my review of their Park Street location below. All the points/issues apply here, at their fabulously run Factory Outlet location. This McDonald’s is the perfect example of no matter how poorly you run one, you’ll still make lots of money. This opinion is not based on one or two visits. I’ve lived in the area for 23 years and am still amazed at this McDonald’s and their slightly less awful location at the Factory Outlet Mall. The management of these two locations evidently teach employees the rudeness method of customer service. While both of these McDonald’s have prices substantially higher than others in the south metro area, I still visit them on occasion because it’s not worth driving to the one at Yosemite and Lincoln in Lone Tree. First, receiving an accurate order is truly a 50⁄50 proposition. If using either drive-thru, a thorough check of your order is mandatory. Before, when I was stupid and didn’t check my order, I called to report the error and they generously offered to replace the incorrect items if I was willing to make the 13 mile round trip from my house. Seriously? I didn’t expect them to deliver the replacements but how about offering to replace them free on a future visit? Sorry, not here. Once, I was driving by one of their locations to pick someone up and saw them offering a special deal. Later, while I was near their other store, I stopped in to grab the special. Sorry, we only offer that at our other store. Tonight, my family wanted McDonald’s and I was in Castle Rock — a potential nightmare. Nonetheless, I stopped by McDonald’s on Park Street. I made the mistake of ordering a 20 piece McNugget and then asked for extra honey. Sure, no problem… at 25 cents each. Maybe I’m just a cheapskate but getting charged extra for condiments after dropping nearly 20 bucks just rubs me the wrong way. The guy(not a kid but a middle-age man) at the pickup window didn’t appreciate my objection to the added charge. In disgust, he suggested I talk to the manager and as he turned to get her, very clearly called me an #?&hole. The manager must have heard it too because she was very apologetic. However, extra honey would be 25 cents each. Clearly, I have an axe to grind with these folks. Over the years, I’ve simply had too many«issues» at these two McDonald’s and I do try to avoid them and take my business elsewhere. It’s just extra frustrating that when I am somewhat«forced» to patronize these locations, there’s always something to deal with. Maybe your experience will be different. I hope so.

food poisoning anyone? no? oh… well in that case just say no to this place. i got food poisoning 2 times in a year from this place. 1st was with a super under cook burger… and by undercooked i mean raw. i ate half of it before giving it back for a refund. did that stop me from throwing up all day? no. not at all. and next time was from some chicken nuggets. still… no. i ate them and they were good at the time. but soon after, up it came… i work in the mall next to this place so that’s why i went here ever. the only time i go here now is to pick up a sweet tea… to go… and if you are brave enough to eat here you will have to wait for far far longer than you should for a kids meal. be warned.
