After a long flight to Denver, then driving my rental car south 1hr to Castle Rock to friends and family, I needed coffee. Bottom line, this place is AWESOME! Previous Unilocal reviews helped me make the decision to drive 4 extra miles, out of the way, from my original destination to buy this coffee. So, I wanted to «pay it forward» and make a review. Plus, not to mention, the customer service is top-notch. The two girls helping me were extremely courteous. Bottom line, if you’re in the area — I highly suggest this business to anyone. The coffee is fresh, flavorful and not burst tasting like Starbucks. TIP: Highly recommend the Pumpkin Spice.

Amazing coffee! Im always so particular of different kinds of roasts and locally roasted Lost coffee offers great, flavorful blends. My café au lait is always perfect and today I might’ve had the best blueberry muffin ever! Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable about the coffee. Being from out of state I always make it a priority to stop in here!

Nice coffee shop for working and small meetings. Large outdoor sitting area. Very friendly staff. The hibiscus ice tea is strong and tasty. Free wifi. The classic rock background music is a little load and the concrete floor gave a slight cavern effect.

This coffee shop does not use healthy or even competitive Ingredients for consumer health. I have been frequenting lost coffee for the past year. It is convenient to the castle rock ice rink, movie theater, and other local attractions. However, recently I began asking my local coffee shops what types of milks, creams, soy milk, and syrups they use to fuel my all time favorite coffee treat, the café mocha. Here are the results: 1) the local Starbucks uses Lucerne milk, organic soy, and not to great syrups and gmo chocolate. 2) lost coffee uses farmers natural milk, gmo soy, and not so great syrups as well as gmo chocolate. 3) cookies and crème uses local milk, organic soy, great syrups and chocolate. 4) caribou coffee uses local milk, organic soy, better or equivalent syrups to Starbucks, and good chocolate. 5) serronos in monument uses organic products and good syrups and good chocolate. I found all have areas of improvement, but none so much as lost coffee., I have also been looking at several others such as Daz bog but am not ready to fully compare. But if you are a 2 latte a day junkie like me, then you may be disappointed, as this consumer is, with the ingredient selections of lost coffee owners Scott and John. The most disappointing aspect of my experience is that I have voiced these concerns to their staff for the past few weeks with no real interest. One staff member in old town told me to post it on your Facebook page. Hello, I am in the store. Really! A second staff member at the other location told me she has no control over the supplier inventory. When I simply requested she pass my concern to Scott, she became offended and provided horrible service from that point on. Gentlemen, I cannot return until Lost Coffee takes the health of their patrons at least as serious as their local competitors. However, there is also a real opportunity to be better. Like chipotle, why not go all organic. I would exclusively select Lost Coffee for my daily treats if this were the case. Until then, compared to your competitors, you guys may have a better roast but are using the worst in class ingredients. Hence, when coupled with the dismissive, defensive, and deflecting responses of your staff, I will indeed have to rate you a 1. Another are of improvement is your food selection. But hey, let’s focus. Hope this changes soon. Regards, A recently«Lost» Customer

I always have an excellent experience at Lost Coffee. Their coffee, treats, and service cannot be beat. Combine that with reasonable pricing compared to the competition and you have yourself an exceptional café!

Love Lost Coffee. Great drinks, great staff and great place to sit and have a drink. Love their little donuts. Could not have a better local coffee place in Castle Rock. Stop by and give them a chance. You’ll see what everyone is talking about.

I love a local coffee shop… And I just really love this one. The atmosphere is just awesome. The staff is always so friendly. It’s a great place to meet up with a friend or get some work done. I really love this place because they have almond milk and coconut milk, which as of writing this, Starbucks does not. I also like the selection of GF snacks.

The Americano is horrible. Watered down. Looked like dirty water. Not sure how you can mess an Americano up but they figured out how to do it.

Pumpkin spice pretty watered down, Starbucks would’ve tastes better and that’s saying a lot.

Apparently they made an effort of not knowing what a soy coffee frapuccino is(espresso, soy milk, ice). They would make it clearly that they don’t know what you are talking about. Just unbelievable! Also, $ 4 for a gluten free muffin!!!. I’m not coming back, if they can’t put those ingredients together then I’d rather go on supporting Starbucks.

They really are nice for groups to come in and chat. Comfy tables and chairs and really friendly staff who remember you and your order. Megan and the other baristas always have a smile, even at the crack of dawn!

I met a friend here last night since I was in the area. It’s not often that I venture that far south during the week, so I figured if I was there, I might as well have coffee with someone I don’t get to see often. The girl working behind the counter had a great demeanor, she was helpful, knew what I wanted when I said, «Needs to have an espresso amount of caffeine in it.» She got me the VErY flavorful White chocolate drink! Great flavor! Enjoyed it. I also grabbed 9 donuts and had high hopes for them, however they were not as crispy as I had hoped they’d be. Seating in the place was nice, not too crowded and some seating outside if you are so inclined. Would be a great place to relax while your teens are at the movies.

Love both Lost Coffee locations! The staff is always friendly and they make the best cup of coffee around! I also buy their coffee beans to make my own lattes at home and they are roasted for a perfect cup! I LOVE that I can support a local, small business and get a better cup of coffee than I would if I went to the Big Coffee Chain shops!!! They also carry Gluten free burritos and muffins that are really yummy!

Today’s trip was at Lost Cofee Truck perfectly alighned at the entrance to the Douglas County Fairgrounds where thousand’s of two wheeled cyclist were preparing for this chairy event. As I walked to the starting line I felt the pull of the«espresso machine» and 2 minutes later I was in double shot bliss… enough said! Lost was not lost on me… thanks guys you Rock!

I was LOST in Colorado looking for good coffee till I ran into this lil’ coffee shop! I’m so happy there was a 30 minute wait at the crazy burger restaurant next to it. I ordered a coconut latte(not on the menu) and a dozen fresh mini donuts and i was one happy customer! The coconut latte was reminiscent to ones I’ve had in Hawaii! It was love at first sip at this place! I hope to come back here one day :)

We are so excited to discover this locally owned coffee shop in Castle Rock. It’s right on our way to church so we are becoming regulars on the weekends. Scott, one of the owners is fantastic and very knowledgeable when it comes to coffee. If you are like me and you sometimes hate going to a non-Starbucks because you are addicted to a specific drink they make… don’t worry. Scott can recreate it AND it won’t have that signature kinda burnt Starbucks flavor in it so you might just like it even more. They also have Aspen breakfast burrito’s in three varieties and those yummy freshly made mini donuts in powdered sugar or cinnamon topping. I hear the wifi is lightning fast too but so far have only come by for«recreational» coffee. It’s on my list of places to check out to work from very soon. Lost Coffee is on Twitter and Facebook along with having an updated website and actually know how to use all three of those which impressed me since that’s my industry. Follow and friend them to know about any specials or news about this brand new spot in The Meadows.
