Tommy’s Bistro

The food here was amazing! We stopped in purely because they were the only Italian place near where we were and we had a hankering for pasta. Was sort of expecting mediocre pasta since the place is sort of in the middle of nowhere but we were wrong! Probably the best pasta carbonara I’ve ever had. My husband also had the Tommy’s Pasta and it was absolutely delicious.
Service and atmosphere was pretty good. Nice staff and casual. The host gave each of our kids a balloon too — which kept the kids happy so it was a nice bonus.
Would definitely go back.

The environment here is laid back, clean and very relaxed. The food is just really good, homemade and made to order. The «Tommys drunken sausage pizza» is a pizza you can not get anywhere else in Casa Grande. I will put money on that, it’s plain good. I’ll be here Sunday’s for football and drinks because who can’t wait for football season! Check it out, for Casa Grande this is high quality and a finer dining experience.

THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS … IT HAD A LOT OF FLAVOR … Kinda pricey however it was worth it … Service was great our server was really friendly (Amber). She made sure we where we’ll taken care off … I had never been inside but I’m glad I came the inside it’s pretty nice it’s kinda cozy will definitely come back … Perfect for date night with that one special person …

Food is usually good. They were very accommodating when I asked for the chicken on the side since I’m a veggie. The outdoor patio is awesome when the weather is right. The seating is comfy and spread out enough that you can enjoy your own company, but still banter with neighboring tables. The indoor atmosphere is old-​skool (which I really like).
The bartenders could use some social manners and some bar training; they rarely know their beers and make crappy cocktails. If they made good drinks they could be full of themselves, but since they make crappy drinks, they need to take that nasty attitude down notch or two. One waitress is what makes the service there. I wish I knew her name. Next time I’ll catch it! Everyone else there seems indifferent to customers, and even downright rude if you are not a local. But, she has provided excellent service the three times I have been in there recently.
I’ll update with her name if I ever go back. I’ve also heard that the cheesecake is to die for! So, I might have to go back.

This is the best Italian we have had in the 3 years we have lived in the area! Home made marinara was delicious! Chicken Parmesan was amazing! Oh! And the stuffed mushrooms we fantastic! Definitely making this a regular stop!

Words cannot describe how fanstasic this restaurant is! The atmosphere is homey and quaint while the food is top notch. Everyone at my table could not stop raving about how good the food was. I cant wait to go back and try more things off the menu. A little on th4 pricier side, but well worth it. Will definitely be coming back!

One of my favorite places to eat! Food is always amazing. We love the spicy chicken Alfredo. The linguine and clams are very delicious as well. We try and make it here as often as possible.
They have a large patio, it is great for birthday parties.

Food was hot, fresh and fabulous!!! Friendly service and cozy atmosphere. Server was always there to refill our drinks and checking to make sure we were happy. Portions were more than enough.

OK, I have to be honest, it has been a long time (and I mean long) since we have been in here. When we first moved down here and this place opened, it was awesome. The food was great, the service was way above standards, although a little slow and the owners were as friendly as it gets. Over time things changed. The service went downhill and the food changed. The portions were smaller, the food tasted different, it was just tragic. I can remember one time waiting for over an hour only to get the wrong pizza, the second try was not even a pizza, it was just awful and if I remember correctly, I never did eat. Anyway, flash forward to 6-​17-​2015. My wife and I wanted to go out to eat to celebrate our anniversary. We had a gift certificate that we keep forgetting about (it was almost 2 years old… told you it had been a while) so we decided to go back and try it again.
MY FAITH HAS BEEN RESTORED! This visit was awesome. We had the bruschetta as an app and it was great. My wife had the mussels cozze. It is listed as an appetizer but it easily enough for a meal. My wife couldn’t even finish all of it. When the waitress sat the plate in front of my wife it looked and smelled just like we remembered from the first visits we had here. It also tasted amazing, recommendation, order a side of garlic bread, you will need it! I ordered the carnivore pizza. Loaded with sausage, pepperoni, prosciutto and meatballs, this pizza is off the hook, out of bounds, a home run, what ever you want to say… it’s damn good! The service is still a little slow so if you are in a hurry you will be disappointed, but trust me, it’s worth the wait. (also the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars). For 2 apps, a 16″ pizza and 4 glasses of wine = $ 68. I think it is still a bit pricey, but not to bad. We will definitely start going back to try some of the new items they have on their menu. The owner remembered us and came right over to say hi and ask how we were. So happy that this place is back to the Tommy’s we remembered.

Ended up coming here two nights in a row. First night the restaurant we had chosen to eat at with friends was closed, they recommended Tommy’s.
We arrived shortly after it opened. We were seated promptly and our drink orders were taken. We also ordered a couple of appetizers; shrimp cocktail — had about 6 shrimp and was very fresh, and the artichoke dip that was a special that evening. The artichoke dip was some of the best we ever had. But were a bit disappointed that they just served them with some crackers out of a box.
They also had brought some rolls out to the table, nothing special there either.
We placed our orders, two ordered specials of the night, one being a rigatoni plate in a creamy cheese sauce and the other was the flat iron steak with coconut shrimp, baked potato and brocolli. Both parties who ordered these were very pleased. The other two orders were the lasagna and the chicken parmesan. Entrees come with your choice of one side, all pastas come with nothing but the pasta. The chicken parmesan was huge and very good, the lasagna looked like a small portion but was very rich and very, very good.
Service was good, atmosphere was relaxing.
The second night, our kids and grand kids had come to visit. Decided this would be the place so the kids could get pizza and we could get a different option. This time we arrived just as they were opening. Our waitress was wonderful with the grandkids. Appetizer ordered this time was the fried mozzarella. It was not the usual string type cheese, but actual slices from a mozzarella ball, served with some marinara sauce. There was also a garnish of spinach leaves, cherry tomatoes drizzled with balsamic. Our waitress came and took it away before we had a chance to eat that, as we did not have any silverware yet.
Our orders this night were, chicken parmesan with garlic bread, again a huge portion of chicken. Chicken Francese, with the side being angel hair with marinara, which I was told was excellent. Chicken marsala, forgot what the side was, but she was very pleased with it. This time I ordered the fettucinne alfredo with chicken. I was a bit disappointed, not a very rich, creamy or flavorful sauce, a bit bland.
The kids ordered a personal custom pizza, that they absolutely loved.
Not a huge menu, but it does have some very good options. We would eat here again if in town.

Food was really good, service took a little bit. We were one of three tables in the section and it took a while. Everyone was really nice and friendly and the food rocked. I would definitely come back

We wanted some good Pizza so decided to try Tommy’s Bistro because of previous reviews. We ordered the Bruschetta appetizer, it was awesome. I would order for my meal next time. Husband ordered pizza with pepperoni, mushroom & sausage. He like his pizza ok. I ordered the Margarita pizza. I did not read the ingredients on the menu because I thought it would be your standard Margarita with buffalo mozzarella, it was ricotta cheese. There was way too much mushy ricotta so ended up scraping most of it off. Not many tomatoes or basil. Took almost 15 minutes after we finished eating to get our check. She took my glass for a refill and didn’t bring it back for almost 5 minutes. Our waitress seemed to have many sections. We love the bruschetta so much that we will give them another try. We will try the pasta next time.

Love this place! Great food, love the atsmophere. We also have fun at the bar in the evenings. Solid 5 stars!

I’m a 2^nd generation Italian and Tommy’s reminds me of my grandma’s cooking from the old country. She made it to 103 and would have loved eating here. I highly recommend! *****

Great selection, quality and friendly place. The specials are great value, the steaks are awesome as well. I ate ther 5 times on a business trip I liked it so much.

This restaurant exceeded my expectations!!! The food was delicious! The service was better than some fine dining establishments in Los Angeles or Phoenix! The atmosphere is OK and the bar is full. I had a steak and it was cooked to perfection! We had desert — cheese cake — and left supremely satisfied!
I WILL come here again if near or in Casa Grande! The place was clean and everyone wanted us to have a blast… Great outdoor seating area too!

This place is nice and the food is pretty good. They have a good outdoor atmosphere and a pub-​ish bar that’s nice to hang out at. I recommend eating outside on cooler days and evenings. The service is comparable to most other places with servers.
This is a great place to hang out with friends and family to get away from everything for a short while.

Went here last weekend and can say that I was pleasantly surprised! My boyfriend recently moved here for work and we needed a place to eat. Instantly went to Unilocal,put in restaurant, and the highest rated one we got: Taco Bell. Not exactly what I was looking for. So we went and searched further and found Tommy’s Bistro.
We were so please with the food and service here. The wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. Our orders were taken in a very professional manner, and drinks were brought quickly as well.
The food was great too! My meal tasted good, and was a decent portion size. The bread that also came with the meal tasted fresh.
All in all we were very pleased with the restaurant. I do think that we will be back at some point.

We are what you would call regulars here… Or were, I suppose. We went several times a month and with the exception of a very few select servers, we were never remembered…
We have had several experiences that left us saying, ‘we’ll never come back,’ but I think tonight did us in… We waited over 10 minutes and were never acknowledged by a server.
If you take a chance and decide to go here, don’t expect great service unless you get one of the good servers who will probably not be there the next week, you’ll probably think the food is way over priced and the atmosphere is hit or miss.
Can someone please call restaurant impossible and save this place???

And I am saying «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» because I was totally shocked to find a place this good in Casa Grande. For a minute I thought I was on The Hill in St. Louis.
Let me back up a minute.
Did you ever have one of those days where you had 18 things to do and you didn’t want to do any of them?
I know you have.
We had one of those and so decided to drive around aimlessly toward Casa Grande. Did some shopping. Got hungry. Now I have never been impressed by the restaurant choices in CG and usually end up just grabbing fast food or speeding back to Chandler. Well, after checking the reviews on Unilocal,we decided to try Tommy’s, and I am so glad we did.
Our server, Alex, was wonderful. She took our drink and app order right away, and then gave us time to look over the menu. We never felt rushed and she was ahead of the game with the leftover pizza box and the check. The food speaks for itself in the pictures I took.
The prices are absolutely a steal for the quality of food we had. The restaurant is decorated very nicely on the inside and we had a cozy booth. The bar area is large and they have a huge outdoor patio. I look forward to taking a friend of mine who loves Italian food. Tommy’s is an absolute gem!
