This location lacks consistency. On multiple occasions I received a coffee that was watery and did not have one bit of coffee flavor. In the past, I would drive back and ask them to remake the drink. The workers are quite unpleasant to deal with so driving back to tell them the coffee tastes like water is not ideal. Today was the last time. I ordered 2 Venti Vanilla Latte’s and they tasted like 2 Venti Hot Waters. Quality control is non existent and I wish corporate would look into what is going on here. Worth the drive to a different starbucks.

It was nice to still be able to get a coffee drink on Christmas day. Most places were closed but they were open! It’s conveniently located off of Kildare Farm road. The employees were super friendly and most importantly, coffee was great!

Avoid this location like a bad ex boyfriend, seriously. Slow service, mixed up orders, and rude teenage staff. I love Starbucks but this place needs some TLC on their staff, and help on time management. Don’t go thru the drive thru unless you have time to kill.

Ummm… they don’t quite have a system down for mobile orders. You still have to wait awhile to pick up your drink even when you order five to seven minutes earlier online. When I have gone to pick up my mobile orders at Cary Central, they haven’t even taken the ticket order off the machine prior to my arrival which means they haven’t even started the order. Their management should consider talking to High House Starbucks or Renaissance Starbucks because those two stores have an excellent system for mobile orders!

I stopped going to this location awhile back because their drinks never tasted consistent. I stopped by today to get a double espresso, figuring it was a good choice and they couldn’t mess it up. However, to my surprise they can’t even make a simple espresso. Instead I received what looks like a cappuccino in an espresso cup. I called to complain to the«manager» but I’m certain that the girl who answered couldn’t have possibly been the manager because she completely blew me away and said«oh sorry, I guess the barista must have pushed the wrong button» and seemed unconcerned that I was given the wrong drink. I’ll never go here again… not even for a «simple» drink. I really wish that corporate Starbucks would look into this location and make some improvements!

I ordered a venti iced pumpkin/mocha latte. The order taker in the drivethru was totally confused as if no one has ever ordered something like this. I didn’t think it was difficult, but after I paid for it and drove away, there was NO pumpkin flavor at all. If I am paying $ 6 for a drink, I would like it to be right. Ugh…

On such a gloomy and dreary afternoon, the guy working the drive thru at this particular location was able to completely uplift my mood. I intended to order an Iced Jade citrus green tea but they only had the Iced Mint green tea made up. Instead of having them make a hot Jade citrus and add ice, I opted for just the hot Jade citrus green tea. When I got to the window, the cashier asked me if I wanted to try their iced Mint green tea for free, just to see what it tastes like. Of course I said«sure!» He gave me the iced tea in one of their tall cups. It’s not everyday that you get a free drink from Starbucks, so you can only imagine my excitement at the time! I thanked him and let him know that his recommendation is the reason I’m hooked on the Jade citrus green tea in the first place! Definitely one of my favorite Starbucks locations with well made drinks and excellent staff. Very busy in the mornings, but I don’t mind waiting in the drive thru line because I know how amazing the service is here!

I have been a loyal and frequent Starbucks customer for years but it seems recently that the Cary, NC Starbucks have had horrible customer service. I just went through the drive through and ordered a grande drink and was handed a tall. I told the woman this wasn’t what I ordered and she flatly said I paid for a tall and closed the window. @carycentralstarbucks

While this Starbucks combines a good location with friendly employees, the workers are prone to forgetfulness. I’ve been here 4 times and only received the correct order once. It’s always the little stuff like forgetting to put the sweetener in a sweetened iced tea, and they’re very quick to correct any mistakes. Unfortunately it does prevent me from rating them higher.

Usually I frequent the Caribou on Maynard for my coffee fix, but I was given a gift card so trying to use it up. Coffee is decent, and the treats I’ve gotten have always been fresh. Service is usually speedy, but as far as friendliness, it can be hit or miss(usually miss). I approached the counter where a man was standing with a headset who was mouthing almost inaudibly to me while looking at me. I asked him«Excuse me?» to which he replied«I said ‘How can I help you?’» as if I were deaf or something. Somewhat put off by that. Not a terrible experience, but not my favorite location and hopefully when the new Starbucks is built in the Harris Teeter, that can be my go to place. Not a fan… sorry.

Wireless is good but seating is limited. Sort of typical Starbuck’s experience: barristas are hit or miss, nobody ever wipes anything down, they excel at getting a cup of caffeine in your hand as fast as possible(and give you what you order most of the time), but you’re lucky to find any employee who looks anything but miserable. I’venoticed tgey now heat your baked good without asking you and that’s nothing more than a ploy to get an extra day or two of «freshness» out of it. The new manager is friendly and the people working drive-thru are friendly, but the people making drinks are surly on a good day. There are 3 other coffee shops I go to before I come here.

The building this SB is in has been several different restaurants over the years. It is optimized for drive thru service, though I always prefer to walk in. Conveniently located in a smaller shopping center parking lot, when I’m having my auto serviced nearby, I often walk o this SB for a nice cool-down beverage. The service is consistently OK as is the wi-fi. No complaints. Cheers.

This SB location has stepped it up over the last few months. There’s been a big improvement in the attitude of the employees and in the overall cleanliness of this location. The coffee is the same as any other SB, so the improvement in the customer service has been a «wow» type of change. There are actually people who seemed to enjoy their jobs. This isn’t meant to be a «damned with faint praise» comment because the improvement really has been noticeable and very welcome. This particular SB has even added a small outdoor seating area, more tables, and removed the comfortable, but ratty looking furniture, leaving more seating for those who like to take advantage of the free wi-fi.

Ugh, I shouldn’t have read the other reviews prior to writing my own. The reason is that the few things that I thought were one-off issues may actually be endemic with this location. Yes, the wait times at the counter are longer than other Starbucks. Yes, I’ve experienced my orders being taken to drive-through instead of to the counter. Yes, I’ve had the sinking feeling that the barista was not a rocket scientist. There seem to be two kinds of Starbucks. Ones that are kind of set-up for telecommuters and ones that only pretend to be. This one is the latter. Furniture isn’t set-up in a way that is conducive to getting work done. This is probably by design. I’d prefer fewer fewer stuffed chatting chairs and one or two more tables. The WiFi is typical at&t commercial WiFi: Never spectacular, but usually reliable. It seems to work OK with my employer’s VPN service. The bathrooms are well kept. Parking availability seems to be tight at times, but I somehow always seem to find a spot.

I have stopped every morning for the pass 5 months and got me a cup of coffee, and either i walk in side or go through the drive through the staff has been fast, clean, productive, and very nice. I’ll continue to use this Starbucks for a very long time.
