Chocolate cake with white icing. Nicely decorated. Great job. Everybody loved it. Never seen a huge party cake go so fast.

Their chocolate chip cookies are so wrong. They remind me of my grandma’s. Also their salads are killer. The garden salad with Italian dressing is my favorite. It’s the perfect lunch spot.

I went to blue moon bakery a month ago for my boyfriends bay cake. And I loved it and so did he. I got a Dr who themed cake with chocolate cake, strawberry moose and buttercream icing. We both loved that you used actually strawberry in the moose. It was absolutely amazing and I will defiantly be back again. Great job

Really good sandwich selection, mine was served on warm ciabatta bread. Great place to grab a quick lunch.

Try a margarita cake. So good! Their quality of ingredients used shines through and their decorating skills are great. Nice value for what you get!

I’ve ordered more than a few cakes for birthdays here. They are always well received.
They have quite a few cakes to choose from if you don’t need a custom one.
They also have drip coffee and scones, muffins — that sort of thing if you’re in need of breakfast (they open at 7AM). They have cookies and cupcakes too.
Just nice people and great cakes.
PS Was at a kiddos birthday party a few weeks ago — one of the best sheet cakes I’ve ever had at this type of event. Asked where it came from — surprise, Blue Moon!

I have been here several times and it is hit or miss. When it is great, it always makes me want to go back and try again. Then, usually the next time I go it isn’t good. So the first time I got the red velvet cupcake it was out of this world. I got it two different times and both times the cake part was dry. On my second time here I got a carrot cake cupcake and it was awesome, but who knows next time what it may be like. I have tried both their vanilla and chocolate cupcakes and they are just ok. The icing is good and cake ok but nothing out of this world. I tried a peanut butter cookie as well and it was very good. I just wish that they were consistent with their baked goods, it seems like I never know whether it will be a ‘good day’ or ‘bad day’.

I love Once In A Blue Moon Bakery! I always get my birthday cake here since their cake is amazing! Also, all of their gluten free pastries are delicious even though I’m not gluten free. The staff is really nice and fast so you will get your pastry in no time. I always enjoy coming here!

Definitely my favorite bakery in the area. The taste/​quality/​flavor of the cake and frosting are great here. We stopped by around Easter and they had bunny and egg shaped sugar cookies with icing for the kids. All this place is lacking is a larger display case with a larger variety of cookies and pastries, and they’d be able to compete with what I consider a «true» Italian bakery (no cannoli or cassata cake available,) but they are on par with the size and variety of other bakeries here in the south.

Not only has Blue Moon made several delicious and customized cakes (golf and Minecraft) that my kids loved — but I am so appreciative they were able to help me out when I couldn’t make it in time of their closing hours. Blue moon made sure I was able to pick my cake up after they closed and my kid was so happy to see and enjoy his birthday cake.

When I’m in the mood for a good chicken salad on rye, this is my run! Comes with all the fixings and even a pickle on the side. And dont forget dessert… this place also has the best cakes in town. Yu-​ummy!

Pretty good brownies, but not much else of note. There are better bakeries in the area, so I am not encouraged to come back often. They need more variety and a better-​looking storefront.

I’ve always heard good things about Blue Moon Bakery, but I never had a chance to actually order something. Well, my coworker was leaving to do bigger and better things, so I figured… if that’s not an excuse to buy cake, I don’t know what is!
There are SO many options listed on Blue Moon’s website, I was lucky I ended up ordering just one cake! (Actually, by the time I came in to pick up the cake, I couldn’t even remember which one I ordered since I was bouncing back and forth between flavors so much.) Online ordering was a breeze and I received a reply from BM promptly confirming my order.
And finally, the day came to slice into the cake. It was delicious! The frosting they use between the layers of cake was much lighter, fluffier, and not as sweet; while the frosting on the outside was your typical buttercream. I loved this, as most of the time I’m spitting out frosting due to sugar overload.
The cake was a hit with the entire office! I ordered a 10″ and worried about it being enough to feed…~20 people. Seeing as different people eat different amounts of cake and all… but it worked out great! Plus, there was a bit leftover for my coworker to take home to her family!
I’ll definitely be ordering more cakes from Blue Moon for my future events! The only thing that made me sad was when I came to pick up the cake, there weren’t any single slices for sale =[ I would have loved to try other varieties without having to buy a whole cake.

Good bakery items… sub par customer service.

I hate to be one of those that gives a mediocre rating to a place with a high rating, but I have to do it. My husband, daughter, and I visited Once in a Blue Moon on a whim. I’d heard it was good so we stopped in for coffee. Weeeelll… their espresso machine was broken, so all we could get was crappy regular coffee. I could make crappy regular coffee at home if I wanted it.
We got brownies and went to get our coffee, but the coffee was completely empty. We sat and stared at the brownies for ten minutes while we waited for the fresh coffee to be brought out. We finally got coffee and enjoyed the brownies. I give this place three stars because the brownies were delicious. My husband got a marble brownie and I got a triple chocolate brownie.
The décor is a little… stale. I dunno, I guess they’re not there for ambiance, they’re there to sell food and coffee.
I don’t think I’ll go back though. I was really disappointed that the espresso machine was broken and they let the coffee run out.

We used Once in a Blue Moon for our wedding cakes this past weekend, and we could not have been more pleased. From the minute I contacted them, we had top-​notch customer service, from tasting to ordering to delivery. They were reasonably priced, flexible with changes and always responsive to questions.
And the cakes! Gorgeous, and every bit as good as they looked. Our guests were so impressed!

Ordered a specialty cake 8″ (red velvet cake) for my close friend’s birthday and it was a success!
Ordered online 4 hours before the day I needed it (I think you need to order 72 hours before) and it was ready for pickup at the time I wanted it ready.
Only thing I’d like them to change: send confirmation/​acknowledgment that they’ve received my order (because another bakery has one messed that up for and there was no cake when I was there for pickup).
Great and quick service at pickup.
Everyone at the party LOVED the RED VELVET cake!
(had seen and tasted the cake they had baked for another friend’s baby shower — looked like a piece of art and tasted great — and that’s why I ordered a cake here)

We ordered one of their specialty cakes (carrot cake) for my mother-in-law’s birthday and it was quite the success!
I ordered the cake online through their website. I actually think their website is terrible and not very easy to navigate or find things. However, once I found where to order, everything went fine. I got confirmation that my order had been received and then later got an email from the bakery with a second confirmation. Communication is key when you do stuff over the internet and I appreciated the multiple notifications.
Picking up the cake went very smoothly. We picked it up on Saturday late morning and had no trouble parking. I can see how parking might be an issue at a busier time so just be aware of that. The employees were really friendly, especially for being (very) young adults and the cake was ready for us. We got a couple of other items out of the case which I can speak to as well. The mini canoli was pretty good. As an Italian, I appreciated that the filling wasn’t sugary and sweet. My husband got the mint chocolate brownie. It was very tasty but definitely high in sugar content!
The cake was decorated simply but nicely. Cutting the cake was actually rather difficult because the cake was so moist. Nobody minded though! This is one of the better carrot cakes I’ve ever had (I’ve had many as it’s my favorite). I loved the icing but will admit that it seemed like more of a cross between cream cheese and buttercream icing. It seems to be a trend, but this bakery doesn’t seem to shy away from sugar! I’m not complaining, because I love some good icing, but just be aware of that if you plan on ordering a cake!
My other-​in-​law LOVED her cake. When she was cutting pieces to send people home with, she was caught licking the spatula clean. That’s a sign of a fantastic carrot cake!
Also, let me note that we ordered the 8″ cake which feeds 8 – 10 (I think). There were 7 of us who had a slice and we still had almost half the cake leftover. The cake is 3 layers and this one was particularly dense. Again, no complaints… just letting you know to go easy on the cake size you order!
We’ll definitely order from here again!

We walked on in for lunch, and came away with knowing how much of a nice bakery this is for future goods! Being the day before Easter showed a constant stream of people picking up their Easter cakes and pies. I picked up an apple cranberry pie with crumble top that seemed to weigh 10 lbs! It was delicious!
Our lunch was just some lunchmeat sandwiches which were just plain and quiche.
Small place with teens running the counter. Overall, nothing fancy but all you need is the pie!
