Cary has a special treat here. How wonderful to have this bread oven where the bread is baked by hand! The samoon bread is delicious. It’s great for sandwiches or dipping. It’s on the order of a pita but with more filling. It’s also similar to an old-fashioned Italian bread that I don’t think you can get in the US anymore called pizza bread(nothing to do with pizza as we know it). Friendly owners as well.

I bought a pack of samoon from this bakery at Olive Tree Market near Crossroads. This stuff is amazing! It kind of tastes like a cross between a crumpet and pita. This will become a regular purchase for me!

Fresh Bread! Samoon! Yum! They were making the Bread when I was there! Lady working here was very sweet! Date Vinegar! They have it and I’ll be getting it next time I shop here! Mastik Gum! My Favorite Gum in the World, in fact I only want to chew Mastik gum of all Chewing Gums in the World! This was a different Brand and a Huge Box… Wondering how to sneak information into this review… Prices make me Very Glad to have found this place before my next Birthday! Istanbul Candy, Large Tins of Istanbul Candy! My Birthday list is Growing! Small store with surprisingly little variety, though that is fine with me, what they did have made my Credit Card Jump for joy! Since my GirlFriend is part Turkish we were glad to find a Grocery Store so close to home!

Fresh bread fans, rejoice! Samoon is ours at last thanks to Baghdad Bakery. The diamond-shaped bread has a slightly chewy crust surrounding a soft, nicely textured interior; its mild flavour is accented with sesame seeds and the bread is perfectly portioned for a sandwich or to accompany your favourite dips. Freshly made, the samoon is currently priced at a very attractive 50 cents a loaf — stock up when you drop in, because if the leftover loaf I had for lunch today is any indication, they keep very well! Newly opened, the bakery also features a small selection of grocery goods from spices to sweets, with more baked goods soon to join the samoon. Add a new international delight to your bread basket today!
