Our expectations with McDonalds were low to start with, but lack of ketchup was a limit. We went through the drive through so maybe that was their reason, but I doubt thats an excuse.

Its rare to encounter a restaurant that gets everything wrong… but this place managed to give us the wrong order forgot straws forgot napkins forgot sauce for nuggets and got the sizes completely mixed up. The staff appeared to be extras from a bad 80’s high school movie. They interrupted when you tried to speak they wouldn’t take the time to listen and generally didn’t give a crap. Awful example of a restaurant and yes it is fast food but come on at least try.

Horrible. Our family stopped late 9pm so not busy at all inside. Fries were left over not fresh and cold. we ordered at 20:51 and got our food at 21:05. Ok but my wife needed tarter sauce for the fish sandwich and the help thought they would bring it out after the fries were done. Now her fish is cold. I mean is the food service industry that hard? Simplest answer is NO. It’s not rocket science. It takes a mature crew that cares about what they do and is empowered to want to help speed up the process. These people are simply lazy in their approach to service.

I am new to the area and tried out this McDonalds and I have to say I was served with a smile and had the most fresh chicken sandwich I’ve ever had from a fast food restaurant. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with no mayo and asked they add pickles. It was delicious! Well done!

This is quite possibly the worst McDonalds in existence. I don’t expect good food or even good service for that matter. BUT, I also don’t expect to wait in a drive thru for 20+ minutes for some chicken nuggets. AND i don’t think I deserve to be glared at by the employees like its my fault for choosing their fine establishment to dine at.

In need of food late night in the Harrison Ave area of Cary, Brett R. and I chose to head into the late night drive thru of this McDonald’s location. I have to say in retrospect, it was not a good decision and this review will focus on the late night drive thru visit only. I see others encountered the same type of service we found in going to this late night drive thru location. I will say if you offer a service such as late night drive thru, you better come through with making it work. Our order was taken, but only after informing us that at this hour of night, they would take cash only. Really?!? In this day and age? Luckily, had cash in hand this time. The wait was EXTRAORDINARY for a drive thru, at any time of day. I would estimate around 15 minutes of not moving after creeping forward away from the microphone, more like being in gridlock traffic. We could hear other cars yelling out in frustration, and some of the cars darting out of line to leave. So finally upon arrival to the first of two windows, the pay window, we are again asked«So, what was your order again?» Not inspiring confidence in service here. After creeping up slowly again to the last window, the person there rips her headphones off and down on the counter and yet again I am asked«What did you order again?» O_o was my reaction. We finally get our food, and get underway. The food? What you would expect, of course. Bottom line: Very disappointing late night drive thru experience. Only taking cash late night, having to repeat my order twice at the windows after placing original order plus the phenomenal wait time make this drive thru trip one of the worst I’ve had.

This has to be the slowest drive through I’ve ever experienced. They actually have parking spots at the drive-thru so you can park and wait even when no one else is in front or back of you. You would think with all that time they would actually get the order right. And when I pay with cash and some change it would be helpful if the people there could actually figure out your change.

OK, OK I know it’s McDonald’s not the Angus Barn. This place has bad servicem especially in the mornings. I know I should learn my lesson but I don’t. It seems that every morning I stop in there for nothing more than a cup of coffee it turns into a chore. The store will have 1 register open and 8 people lined up. It is full of laborers heading to their jobs most of whom speak little to no English thus slowing this down even more. Rather than see the back up and open a line to alleviate it, it just gets ignored. A cup of black coffee should require 15 minutes in line to get. I have sent an email to the management contact listed on the sign in the store. I assume she got it but never chose to acknowledge it. The Indian woman who works weekends though is THEWORST. First you have to repeat your order for a shot she gets it right and then she has an attitude when you do order. Again, the wait is ridiculous. Save money and time, go somewhere else.

This is mcdonalds. We weren’t expecting anything more than greasy food with subpar service from unhappy customers. Expectations were not high. BUT– the service was amazing. Renee,(I think a manager) overheard us talking about how we thought we ordered 4 hashbrowns but the receipt showed we only ordered 3. Without us asking or complaining she delivers the extra hashbrown free of charge. Later, my 18 month old spied the cookies. Without a word the cashier pulled one out and gave it to him. Maybe they’re trying to keep up with Chickfila next door– but the personal, above-and-beyond service is MUCH appreciated by this mama.

This is the worst McDonald’s on the face of the earth. I have been to McDonald’s in the hood that had much better customer service, and the food was tasty. The manager needs to be replaced, because leadership starts at the top. I have never gotten a hot sandwich from this McDonald’s, and the drive thru is horrible. The wait is near less than ten minutes no matter what time go through the drive thru.

Please DONOT give this particular branch your business! I usually don’t write reviews, but I absolutely had to. This has got to be some of the WORST customer service I have ever seen at any establishment. I had ordered a particular specialty item, so I was willing to wait. However, after about 10 minutes of standing at the counter, I finally asked if it was going to be much longer. The person behind the counter looked at me like I was rude for even asking and said, «Yeah. I’m getting you a refund.» When I asked why, she just casually said they didn’t have the item I had requested. There were no apologies. She never bothered asking if I would like an alternative selection. There wasn’t even a single acknowledgement that they just wasted my time making me wait so long. The worst of it was while I waited it gave me a chance to observe the interaction between the employees. Even though this was during the busy morning rush, for some inexplicable reason, they only had one lane open to serve the long line of customers while they had at least seven or eight employees«working» behind the counter. I loosely say«working» because most of them were playing around or trying to figure out who’s turn it was to go on a smoke break. There were several conversations(which they had no intention of keeping private) in which employees were talking quite rudely about other employees, even using offensive language. Perhaps not surprising there was nowhere to be found a single responsible adult among the lot. That’s with even several of the employees being well in their 30s or older. It really saddens me how downhill this McD’s has become. It used to be an awesome location that I would use all the time to meet regularly for business breakfasts. At this point I will never go there again.

Without a doubt the worst level of customer service I have ever received anywhere. Been to this location 4 times only because it is on my way home from work and have had a terrible experience EVERYTIME. Employees behave as if customers are a nuisance cutting into their cigarette breaks and playtime. Employees could care less if you wait 12min in drive through or not. They regularly have 2 – 3 cars pulled forward waiting for orders while employees talk and smoke cigarettes in parking lot. Manager could have cared less when I voiced my complaints about stagnant drive through line, rude employees and apparent total lack of pride in their business. Sanitation score is a 90. That really says it all.

Yeah McDonalds. You know what to expect when you go to a McDonalds Restaurant. This location got my order correct without a smile. Lady at the drive thru window clearly did not want to be here. Came here to get breakfast and ordered the Southern style chicken biscuit and it was dry and tasted like microwave chicken. The biscuit was just O.K. The biscuits at Hardee’s is much better. This is the slowest drive thru I’ve ever been through. I will never be back. I also thinks its managements fault. I went by at 7am and they appologized because only 3 people were working… not their fault they are under staffed! Avoid this McDonalds, there is a chick-fil-a and Wendys on either side.

This used to be my McDonald’s of choice until about 1.5 years(some time in 2010 I think) ago when something dramatically changed. At that time, nearly the entire staff of the McDonald’s changed(yeah, I know it’s sad when you recognize who is working at your McDonald’s but still). At that point, the service quality dropped noticeably. Drive through orders were not filled correctly, wait times at the counter inside were horrible. I crossed this McDonald’s off my list and moved on to other stores. I’ve tried them once or twice after quitting them, but the same issue remains: Sloppy customer service.

As the proud title holder of The Only Goddamn Restaurant In Cary That’s Open 24 Hours(or TOGRICTO24H), this particular McDonald’s gets an extra 2 stars than it should have. The food? It’s McDonald’s. The fries may or may not be cold, but everything else seems to be reasonably warm. The workers? Well, in the past few months they hired a few who can speak English(finally) so that’s good. Expect to wait at least 10 minutes for your food in drive-thru. Double that at 2AM because, as mentioned above, this is TOGRICTO24H. Bring cash, because 1 out of 4 times I’ve visited their systems are down and they can’t take cards. That’s really about all there is to say.

It’s a McDonald’s. You don’t come here for the high nutritive qualities of the food. You come because you know what’s on the menu, and you know exactly how it’s going to be prepared. Oh, and the fries. The food is laden with fat and sodium, making it tasty. However, you do feel a little guilt in the back of your mind after having eaten it all. If you like Coca-Cola, you probably agree with me that McDonald’s fountain Coke is some of the best around as long as the lines are well-maintained. They are well-maintained at this location. The staff here are efficient, and the dining areas are always clean. This location has free Wi-Fi. However, they do show Fox News on all the TVs. They might have gotten the fourth star if they would change the station.
