I cannot explain how upset I was at the color that I received by this salon. I showed my «person» a photo of exactly what I wanted(which was to go lighter) and it turned out brassy orange! While at the sink multiple stylists came by looking at my hair and giving my person the«eye» which totally freaked me out not knowing what was going on. Then another stylist tried to tell my «person» what to do to fix it! Needless to say she didnt fix it. And on top of not fixing it she made me leave with a wet head. She said my hair was too damaged and I should not dry or wash my hair for a few days. It was literally raining and 40 degrees outside and I left with a wet head! WHAT??? I thankfully got asked to be a model in a hair workshop this past week and they fixed it and gave me exactly what I wanted! They also said my hair was not that damaged and no stylist should ever let you leave them with a wet head, ever! The biggest problem is I actually paid for the appt! Big mistake!

After going to this salon for 4 years and having the styist for the last two years. I AMDONE!!! This last time was the final straw! I told Brit exactly what I wanted done. Base coat with blonde highlights. Well she decided to cut corners or figured she knew more than me the customer, and decided to do highlights and low lights and darken my hair. When I returned the next week from my trip I called her and told her I was disappointed that she had not listened to me and I wanted her to redo the color. When I arrived I told her what she was supposed to have done, Then Brit proceeded to argue with me!!! I told her for two years what I have had done by her!!! She continued to make a scene and argue with me!!! I refuse to put up with her attitude and poor customer service! I guess her client base is good enough that she doesn’t care if she loses a two year client!!! Good Riddance! And for those of you looking for a stylist at JFGemelli. I’d keep looking!

The haircut itself was amazing but the customer service and overall experience was not. I had Kristi(I think?) and she hardly said one word to me, even when I asked her for ideas for a new hairstyle. She got frustrated when I couldn’t describe or understand a haircutting technique she was talking about, so finally I just showed her some pictures of styles I like. She did a really good job and was very careful about making it perfect, but other than that she was really unfriendly. Then the receptionist checking me out was on the phone the entire time telling someone how their register was short the night before. I left when the other receptionist said I was done. So great haircut but a bad experience, especially for a relatively expensive appointment.

Saw Diana, spent 3 hours with me. Patient, listened, gave me what I asked for once we understood each other for what I wanted and how she would accomplish that. Consult ended up involving 3 members of staff to make sure color and highlights were correct. Care, time, and effort were definitely taken to ensure my hair would come out the way we wanted. Very well priced. 100% root coverage, multi-color highlight, color correction and cut $ 125 + tip. Great highlights, looks sunkissed and natural, especially considering all the colors which were needed(4). Great appt hours. I went in for a 5pm appt and was there until 8pm. Not quite the color I wanted, but I may not have communicated that clearly, and I needed a great deal of correction. The woman next to me was drinking wine which I was not offered. Scalp massage is definitely something I appreciate with salon services, but, being polite, was not a service I felt was provided.

I just moved to this area and from being with a hairstylist for 15 years. I was very nervous to chose a salon via Unilocal,but I can honestly say it paid off. I was able to get in very quickly due to a new stylist coming to the area. As if finding a new salon was not scary enough, now looking at a new stylist that just moved to the area was a leap of faith. Well, Niño, from Boston, was excellent. We really connected. He consulted with me but also asked my opinion. I think the prices are reasonable for what you get! I am a happy returning customer. As I was leaving a woman said to me «I absolutely love your hairstyle». That is the best compliment Niño and I could get! Also, I had some network issues but Chris, at the front desk, worked the problem with me and enabled me to work and get my hair done! Great place and deserves 5 stars!

You get what you pay for here! If you want a cheap hair cut, head to the mall. But if you want a great style that’s going to not only make you look fabulous, but make your life easier, the J&F staff know how to make that happen. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and always great suggestions.

Great Great Great!!! Hair is done by Reina Lawrence. She always knows how to get my hair done. Whether it is color, cut or style — she really is talented in making me look fabulous. Stick to your appointment, getting another one is nearly impossible. Definitely recommend!

It took me over 2 yrs. after I moved here to find a great hairdresser. I finally did when I switched to J & F Gemelli. I’ve gone to all of their locations but I like the West Cary location the best. Everyone in there is especially friendly. Lauren is a great receptionist who is on top of it all. I use Fabian as my hairdresser. He knows the latest styles and trends. I have curly hair and it took me a long time to find someone who knows how to cut my hair. Fabian knows! The great thing about these salons is that they take classes and go to conferences to stay modern. If you are looking for a salon these are the places to go.
