came here for a surprise birthday party for a family member. we came in on a Sunday afternoon, around 12pm. since it was lunch time, I thought I would have seen the buffet to be plentiful. it was a bit sparse and I barely saw food being replenished. food was decent, customer service could have been better.

This place is really horrible. The selection of food isn’t great. Most of the food has been sitting out for a while. Their seafood tastes funny. I think they need some new chefs or new food.

My second time here being treated by the same friend. But yesterday am a little disappointed because they did not have crawfish. I guess it must be a seasonal thing. But overall the cooked food selection was still really good and delicious. Loved everything. Just wish service was better i.e. plate clearing and drink refills. After all it wasn’t that busy yesterday.

Worse customer service ever!!! Every time I come here I’m always disgusted by the rude service of the servers. This ladies needs to smile and should have a great customer service. Because if not us the customer surely you guys don’t have a job. If you’re not happy with your job then quit. Working in a restaurant is simply not fit with your bad manners! This server Nina and the other servers who doesn’t know how to treat their customers nice shouldn’t be working in that place or in any restaurant. I hope your boss will read this and the owner. And I just hope that they will talk to you! Will not recommend this restaurant to my family and friends even co worker for the bad customer service!!! I would have rated this place a decent star but due to bad service I guess not. Take note I’m not the only one complaining of this ladies bad manners when dealing to customers it’s a lot of people on this page!

Wanted a place to eat with the family looked it up on Unilocal decided to give it a visit. Got seated right away. They had a wide variety of food. Chinese food was good. BBQ ribs, yes BBQ ribs was decent. Shrimps dishes yummy. Crab legs plenty of it. Sushi bar was ok small pieces. Overall will return

Honestly the buffet is mostly Asian /sea food so I didn’t eat much. There were ribs that were dry, mashed potatoes that tasted watered down. like from a box, and garlic bread that was cold. My daughter had orange chicken and said it didn’t taste right, my dad said the duck was dry as well. There were only 3 rows of food. for the $ 13+ per person I would expect more of a selection at a buffet. Overall the restaurant was clean and the service was friendly. I wouldn’t come back again though.

This place was pretty good for 12.99 per person for dinner. The only bad thing was the sushi more in specifically the California rolls they had a really different taste. Other than that it was clean fast service and very nice staff.

Everything looked promising when we walked in, but the food and customer service was sure a disappointment. Staff didn’t really smile. They just glare at you… as you order drinks, as they refill your cup… as they take your money. Food was disgusting all except for the fried rice and orange chicken. Egg rolls tasted funky. Green beans needed to be cooked more. Mongolian beef was okay, but a little more flavor would have been nice. I gave up on the Chinese food they had and went for the pizza, fries and mashed potaties. Fries were okay but nothing special. Pizza was okay I guess. The mashed potatoes were bland as hell; you’d have to have a ton of gravy on there to get the most of things. We hoped they wouldn’t mess up dessert but they did. How do you mess up flan? It had a strange banana flavor that I’m not used to. Donut was weird. Coconut jello was almost flavorless. Was told the fruits weren’t all that sweet. Was also told the seafood was rather gross as well. Never coming back here ever again. Was scared to have another plate, for fear I’d get food poisoning or something.

It’s an OK buffet! It does its job to fill in your belly when you’re hungry, but don’t expect the dishes to wow you cause that won’t happen. It’s a good location to pig out cause this place has a lot of variety of dishes. I mostly come here for the California rolls cause it’s unlimited anyway. Not the best rolls, but its not bad at all. I won’t admire it and won’t bash it either cause when I’m really hungry, anything taste great!

Not bad! I came here wanting comfort food and that’s exactly what I got. You get your unlimited selection of your typical average quality buffet food(soup, salad, Chinese food, fried section, sushi, desserts) but a bit more. I was really surprised they had papaya in the fruit bar! Although I can tell instantly that most if not all the meat used were frozen and a big tub of msg was likely used in cooking, you get what you pay for and $ 12.99 dinner, that’s not too shabby. Obviously don’t come here if you want good quality cooking and expect to have to spit out one or two things you decide to put on your plate(one of the sushi choices was just awful, I’m not sure what they’re serving in the fried sectiob but to what I ate so weren’t fries, LOL they serve frozen chicken nuggets you get in your school lunches) but again for what you’re paying, nooooot baaaadddddd. Ps: First buffet I’ve been to in which they bc hare extra for soda/juice/cofdee

12.99 for Dinner buffet The food had a good variety but no item was great and many were cold. Place was pretty clean and in a convenient location. I would rather go other places but we were looking for Chinese and ended up here.

Came here for a post-funeral reception with a very large crowd — the hosts used an ingenious way of tracking the guests and got up to about 150. I saw a second reception for a slightly smaller crowd.(Wow, can the place really hold 300+ guest at once?) The kitchen certainly had a challenge keeping everything stocked. Definitely a good value for whoever had to foot the bill. Typical Chinese style offerings, lots of seafood options(crawfish, shrimp, crab legs, both steamed and fried styles), oysters, mussels, clams — all served well cooked. Sushi is mostly mini-rolls and these were also okay. There were a few selections with cream cheese, and although that may seem odd, I guess it works. Fish choices were mostly imitation crab, diced salmon and something that looked like maybe red snapper or halibut, poke(Hawaiian) style. My favorites at buffets are the fried bananas and those little crispy cream cheese wrapped in wontons — both were done just right. Will probably not be coming here often although it’s good. Good service too with drink refills and clearing away of plates. Parking is all around and across from the restaurant, which is where we ended up, given the huge group we came in with.

Parents loved this place so much, they returned for lunch during the past couple of weeks without me! TWICE!!! And they wanted to go again for the weekend so we did.(Just a reminder, our first time here was less than two weeks ago!) The experience was as good as the first time! Except this time, our server actually asked if we were done with our plates before taking them away.(That was my only *little* issue from the last visit.) I’m glad that’s been corrected! Again, for the money, this place is pretty good! I shall return!!!

«I can never control myself at a buffet»…that’s the quote-of-the-day courtesy of the Husby. We left this place completely stuffed & since I value a little bit of my dignity, I can only hope that we swaggered out of there with just a minimum amount of waddling. :-D This place has options a plenty. If you love seafood, this is certainly the place for you. They have various types of shellfish & a nice looking sushi bar. They also have plenty of meat options including a tasty roast beef. They have all kinds of Asian foods, fruits and desserts – including flan and banana pudding. The price is quite reasonable. The workers are quick to clear the table of used up dishes – the down side being that if you leave to get more food(finished or not) it may not be there when you return to your table. :-D If you’re not an Asian Buffet food fan, don’t even try it. This place is a very typical one.

Okay food Bland sushi rolls Worse customer service Staring problems You get what you pay for We found a plastic sachet on one of our soup(fucking nasty) and the«manager» said it’s normal, I asked has it happened before, he said«No, this is the first time we’ve seen this.» Yup, that’s what you call normal. Not coming back ever again.

Our first choice tonight was the Southbay Buffet, but it recently closed. This place had decent reviews, so I decided to try it out. Price for dinner was OK: $ 15 for adults and $ 1 per year of age for kids. THEFOOD: Sauteed mushrooms were nice. Snow crab legs and baked crab claws were good. Crawfish were an unexpected surprise, but served cold rather than hot. There was a large tray of sweet, gooey«Coconut Shrimp» that seemed a bit like walnut shrimp, but it was just OK. Braised string beans were limp and overdone. Baked mussels and the spinach and cheese thing was somewhat gross. Banana pudding was OK. Vanilla roll tasted stale and the cold donut was a bit gross. I just don’t trust this food. I suspect lots of short cuts and MSG. THEBAD: The servers /hostess /cashier girls were all gathered ’round one of the tables near the front of the house snapping green beans, presumably in preparation for cooking. I’ve seen this several times in other Asian places. Nevertheless, it’s off-putting enough for me that I rarely return to the places that insist on the practice. The carpet on the way into the Men’s bathroom was black. The divider between the urinals was broken off and leaning on one urinal. The caulk around the sinks was moldy. That killed it for me. I’m never coming back. Clean your G-D bathrooms, Carson Buffet, before the County Health Inspector shuts you down! The whole effect was pretty much ghetto, and I’m a little grossed out right now. If there is a next time, I’ll stick to China Buffet on PCH in Torrance.
