Fresh salad bar, with lots of choice of veggies, Texas style BBQ is great, heat and smoke on point, nice place.

Food was good, service was ok. Floors were sticky and the place didn’t seem clean. We were the lucky ones that sat next to the screaming baby and the parents just talked louder to drown it out. The whole restaurant felt the pain!!! Staff just tried to ignore it instead of asking them to leave. Take the screaming child to McDonalds instead of a $ 20 a plate restaurant. Will not be coming back here… not because the food, but because of the atmosphere.

The food tasted old like it had been sitting there then got heated up. Nothing about it tasted fresh. My French onion sandwich tasted so salty I had to send it back to the kitchen. Our potato skins were dry and hard to bite. I won’t be eating there ever again.

Not a single complaint. I had the Pecan chicken salad: Scrumptious. Husband had sliced brisket sandwich. Meat was tender and the coleslaw was delicious!

Wonderful catering services and food. They just catered a family reunion for us, and we have zero complaints just a happy well fed family. The meat was cooked perfect and just the right amount of spices. The salads were excellent too. Would recommend The Q anytime.

We came to Q’s because my husband seen BBQ! I Unilocaled it to see the reviews and there were missed reviews but we went to try it out. I have to say the ribs were«fall off the bone» good! My daughter and I shared a BBQ grilled chicken burger and it was phenomenal! I ordered my boys chicken trips and the portion was substantial and it was great! The customer service was amazing and the food was ! Great rib spot! We were so happy with our choice!

Love the food here, their salads are amazing, the chicken pecan salad is fabulous. Romaine lettuce, celery, dried cranberries, mandarins oranges, goat cheese, pecans and grilled chicken. Yummy balsamic dressing and two big pieces of toasted garlic bread… It’s huge and you will love it. Their ribs and trip-tip is the best in town.

Food was eh, okay. Service was slow. We stopped in for a quick bite to eat… 45+ minutes later we got served. There was only one waitress working.

Takeout is a great indicator of a restaurant’s integrity. This place was a stark reminder of why I lost faith in humanity. Thanks

I have to say everything came together for me this afternoon. The seasoned fries were perfect and the sourdough patty melt was top notch. I think that’s going to be my new go-to sandwich for a while.

Spent almost $ 100 to try this place and it fell way below the bar. If you want real BBQ this is over priced for not so great BBQ. First the Appetizer Mix-UP It tasted like it came out of a frozen appetizer you get in the super market Second the Salad Bar Would have been better to just leave it alone Third The bake potato How can you ruin a baked potato ? Fourth the meat Sliced Beef Brisket — dry and not much else to remember Pulled Pork — it was pulled and I will leave it at that Grilled Beef Tri-Tip — even my dog did not want to eat this Smoked St. Louis Style Ribs — I will be nice and just say they were ribs This ranks with the worst BBQ I unfortunately got to try If you really want BBQ try some place else or do it your self you would save money and more than likely have a better meal.

My family and I went to q’s today. First time we all have ever been there. I will never be back. The food would have been better if I had cooked it myself, and I do not cook very well at all. I ordered a tri tip burrito. For some odd reason it came with fries and it was supposed to come with chips. The tri tip was dry and over cooked. My boyfriend ordered ribs and wings and got something completely different. The only person who did not really complain was my daughter but she said that jack in the box has better burgers. And sadly, I do have to complain about the service I received. It was terrible. I hate to do this but it was quite disappointing. I do not understand how this company has been in business so long. This was our first impression and it wasn’t a good one.

I don’t get the poor reviews. We had driven by this place several times but because we were late we stopped to eat. My husband said the ribs were very meaty and moist. My dinner was also good. The only thing that cost them a star was the fact we had to pay extra to get ribs on the 2 item dinner even though it was all you can eat rib night.

A generous two stars. I’m sure for Carson this is probably considered the real deal, but I urge you to save your money. This place is awful! I went with a big group so I can’t comment too much about the service and such, but I will enlighten you about my dining experience. We preordered our food, and had about five options to choose from. I opted for the pork sandwich, which came with a side a coleslaw and a pickle. I don’t east coleslaw, but the nice man(server) was kind enough to switch my coleslaw for fries. I won’t say my sandwich was awful, but it wasn’t good. It tasted slightly worse than the pulled pork that you get from the refrigerator section of the grocery store. And note: Stay away from the salad bar. 90% of the ingredients were old, wilted and brown. Recommendation: Drive fast past Q’s, and grab a McRib from McD.

Oh GOD. Seriously. Is it too much to ask that Carson City have one DECENT place to get some mouthwatering, melt-in-yo-mouth BBQ?!! I remember when Q’s first opened and everyone was so excited, but now I can see why this place has dwindled to just another Carson City food joint. It ain’t nothing special! I stopped by to grab some BBQ brisket and found myself sorely disappointed. The brisket was tasteless, tough, and no amount of BBQ sauce would make that sandwich any better. The bun must have come from Safeway because it was utterly boring and I abandoned it after finding its flour/tastelessness inhibiting my beef. And there was nothing special to make that sandwich anything more than the worst brisket I’ve ever had. Wahoo. Or NOT. Good gosh, seriously. Can we please get some decent BBQ?! I mean, if I have to go back to Texas just to get my taste bud fill, someone’s buying my airline ticket. And maybe standing in line at Franklin’s for me.

No great shakes here for me. Place is more or less uninspired Texas theme with hard wooden benches in their knotty pine booths. Not comfortable enough for my fat ass. To their credit the service was good. The food was just okay. I had a blue cheese burger last night and I liked it. They gave me a mountain of seasoned fries. They weren’t hot though. I decided to give them another try today, and got the pulled pork sandwich. So??? Well, I really like pulled pork. Q’s pulled pork was a big enough sandwich to satisfy, but the barbecue sauce overwhelmed the flavor of the meat. Score: 3 out of 5.

Prompt, friendly service. Simple atmosphere. Clean and fun Texas décor. Ordered half rack of pork ribs. Very tender and good flavor. Hubby had the Texas Two Step. Brisket was very good and juicy. Turkey was«okay». Salad bar is simple and a tad«boring». Prices are«fair». If you don’t need extra salt in your diet, pass on the butter. All in all a good experience. We’d come back again.

Came here for dinner after a long trip from elko, the smells were amazing, that smokiness that you can only get from a BBQ restaurant! It was all you can eat ribs/tues, and they were literally fall off the bone. My one con was the BBQ sauce, they served three different kinds(Texas, Kansas, and Nevada) they all tasted the same. Not even slightly different. So next time ill just sneak in my own BBQ. They also served soup or salad bar with my meal, and I got their tortilla chicken soup. Wow pretty tasty, although our waitress was like«it’s really spicy», I thought it was perfectly well seasoned. Also I wanted to add a side note, they DO serve sweet tea, and as a southern girl at heart, it made me really happy.
