Shopping in the store is fine. Seem to have reasonable prices and selection. Problem comes when you try to get any thing from the pharmacy. I have never once had them meet a scheduled pick up time. Even in cases where I ask them what time will work for them. Nice enough people just unorganized. Oh, and dont think going to the other Cvs on Winnie will help, they have the above issues coupled with a inexperienced staff that apparently dont know how to bill insurance companies properly.

I used to get all my prescriptions Rx at Costco in the Bay Area, but with all the long lines it was a hassle and since the insurance is paying anyways, the price is all the same no matter where I go. So I decided to switch to CVS. I can go to any CVS and get my drugs cause they are all connected. Since I’m up here in Carson City a lot, I’ve been coming to this store. Carson has 3 CVSs I think, but this one is most convenient. Service is pretty good most of the time and the long lines of Costco are no longer a worry. They have flu shots here too, free if you have insurance. Parking is super easy and there are shady spots in the lot facing Fairview Ave. I got a $ 5.00 rebate coupon to use in the store when I hit a certain amount of prescriptions and found a good selection of snacks for just $ 1.00 each down one of the asiles. Generic Funyons!

Easy as it gets. On my way home from Tahoe I needed a few quick items that were easier from a pharmacy than from a grocery store. Layout was clean and items were easy to find. Staff was quite friendly when they assisted me in finding one item that was hiding in and aisle I consider to be quite unrelated to my search! Parking was easy but I am downgrading the location because of the parking area. The lot itself is kind of a disaster with no clear route indicators and people driving every which way. Also, exiting back onto the main road is quite a challenge without a light as there is a constant stream of traffic. It took me almost as much time to get out of the parking lot as I spent in the store.

It’s a long story, as Gayle and I stopped at this CVS to pick up an «emergency» prescription. My usual 3 month mail order supply was delivered to the wrong address and both CVS Caremark and the US Postal Service went into verbal gymnastics overdrive to blame each other for the error. The tie was temporarily broken by a new script from my primary care physician, as it was clear that those 2 bureaucracies really don’t care if you live or die because of missing meds. This folks behind the counter at this CVS Pharmacy couldn’t have been nicer in filling the prescription and navigating the internal bureaucracy with CVS Caremark. Yes, they are part of the same company, but based on the required hoops that needed to be jumped, you would have never guessed. The bottom line is that I go my meds with a smile and a cushion for the next refill battle.

I usually don’t bother shopping CVS because their prices are all weirdly inflated for some reason, but this particular one has some excellent food clearances, or at least it did when I blew through anyway.
