Waffle House

We just left this Waffle House and will not be back!
The restaurant was empty and we were not greeted. We sat down and our server stood by our table and continued to yell about her personal life to her coworkers. We ordered our drinks and food then we turned around and watched her, after coughing into her hands, no gloves and not washing her hands, pick up meat and the bread and put it on the grill. Then, still with no gloves or washing her hands, she touched lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, bread and hash browns. So, she cross-​contaminated most of the prep station just making our order. We told another server what we saw, just to make sure there was a policy about that. Her response was «you could ask her to remake it.» But she did say what we saw was against Waffle House policy. Basically Putting it on us as customers, to enforce a policy that a manager should being dealing with.
We got the attention of our server and told her we could not eat the food she was preparing because of the cross contamination we saw and to be frank, it was just disgusting. We said «you may wash your hands, put gloves on and remake it, or we can’t eat here.» She looked at her coworker and said «do you want free food?»
We got up and left. It was the worst experience we have ever had at a Waffle House. Completely disgusting and awful service. We do NOT recommend you go here.

Service was excellent! Food was prepared on a timely manner! Dorothy rocked she was very attentive. The place was crowded but everything was done right. The best one yet!
