I had the spicy roast chicken and the short ribs here and they were both awesome! Just the right amount of spiciness and flavor. And you get a huge amount of little appetizers sides of different types like Kim chi, steamed egg, clear noodle, cucumber and veggie pancake.

Came for Sunday dinner and the service was horrible. I understand that it is a weeknight however a waiter never came by the table to see how we were doing. We always had to press the call button at LEAST two or three times before someone finally came by our table. However, the food is good and has a good price range. Just terrible service.

I love this place so much all the kalbi so delicious :). The barbequed beef short ribs with their special sauce is my favorite one :)

Short and sweet: the food here was pretty good. The pork belly was as expected. The marinated beef was definitely tasty! Walking in we got to sit in a semi-private room which is great because you can hear your conversations better without having to hear others or get distracted from everything going around you. We were provided with plenty of side dishes for the whole group and service was impeccable! One of our friends spilled kimchi soup all over herself and our waitress took it upon herself to gently clean her shirt. Additionally, the staff worked together as a team to serve our table. The staff are kind, genuine people who actually remembered a few of us from previous visits in the past in a good way! Hands down I will be back! I’ve been around to various Korean BBQ places and without a doubt their great food and amazing service has made them my new favorite Korean BBQ place to eat at!

Indifferent. Went here and was rushed. Couldn’t enjoy the meal with my family. And the server was slightly helpful. She got us situated. And cooked our food. And we were told to hurry and pay. So as we were paying even though we haven’t even finished our meal, our server came back with our credit card receipts and told us to leave her a tip. And then proceed to ask us why we did not place a tip on our receipts. When In fact if she would have waited she would of understood that we were leaving her a cash tip. It was completely rude and uncalled for. I will not be dining at this establishment agian. I do not like to be questioned about how I am leaving my tip.

First time here and we love it. The short rib is so tender. The small plates they gave to us are delicious too.

Awful service. We buzzed twice because we had no clue what to do, and no one came for 10 minutes.

Great experience! This was our first time ordering Shabu Shabu and we were lost on the menu. The owners were awesome and suggested a meal for us and man did it deliver! Samantha came by our table and walked us through the entire experience. If you’re new, ask for her! We will definitely be back soon.

We’ve been here a few times and always enjoy ourselves. They’ll cook the meat for you if you seem unsure, but we love doing it ourselves! The meat is good, the ban chan plentiful, and the soju comes quickly! ;)

I was craving Korean food and my boyfriend recommended this place given I like to try new places. We ordered the shabu shabu with meat and it was pretty tasty. The banchon were a good compliment to the food and always include some soju to your meal! Fast service and friendly environment

I come here often. Tried shabu shabu, seafood pot rice, seafood soft tofu, seasoned pork ssam… etc Over all pretty good. It’s not the best but service is good and they maintain good side dishes too. Every time I come with my mom she finishes her dish. I recommend this place ;)

Non Korean speakers BEWARE. I came for dinner with my mom and dad and the waiters seated us in the side room with three tables. The menu is a little confusing but we were intrigued by the Korean hot pot, the hotspot section is a little confusing and we asked the waiter to tell us about it and how much we should order between the three of us. She stared at us in confusion and we kept trying to figure out what exactly was in each hot pot and how it worked out. She was rude and not helpful at all, we ended up leaving without ordering anything. I’m a stickler for service, if I’m going to pay $ 30 for a hot pot I’d like to know if it’s enough for us three and for the wait staff to be helpful, instead we were left hungry and looking elsewhere to spend our $$.

Went here for the first time a week or two ago with bf and friend upon friend’s recommendation. To be honest, none of us got BBQ or Shabu Shabu so I can’t judge on that, but I can say what we did get was good. I hadn’t had soft tofu soup in awhile so I decided to go with that. It doesn’t offer other types so I went with their seafood tofu soup. As most Korean food places are, your order comes with side dishes which were very good. Typical ones but the kimchi per my friend is made in house rather than bought from H-mart which is in the same complex area. Kudos for that. Additionally, bf and friend split a seafood pancake as I don’t like scallions/onions. Portion was huge and tasted good to them(and the bits of seafood I randomly got were good too). BF ordered the Beef short rib/bone soup which was excellent. He definitely enjoyed it and I thought the soup was great quality. Friend ordered cold noodles and it was sufficient especially with the pancake. My friend was Korean so he ended up ordering for all of us, though the servers did sometimes speak to me/boyfriend in Korean sometimes as well, but pretty decent service even though I never really had to deal with the staff either. I’d definitely come back especially to get the Beef short rib soup as well as try their shabu shabu and/or BBQ.

Korean bbq usually ends up leaving a dent in your wallet. We had 2 servings of the suwon galbi for two guys and it wasn’t enough, so we ordered two more servings of non marinated galbi. The meat was decent, but it’s so pricy. I think the place went through changes in staffing as well as the owner of the restaurant. I hope they step it up as it seems like they aren’t doing too well. Good luck!

Everyone here is so nice to me, and the environment is pretty nice looking. Very comfy, though around 5pm on a Tuesday it’s pretty dead.

SSAM, whatever that means, is a nice looking Korean restaurant amid a myriad of other Korean places in that strip mall. It stands out among its peers with a nice outside fenced seating. There is a reception right as you walk inside. The place is dimly lit and has an open middle seating area with semi private enclosures on its surroundings. It has a wonderful atmosphere with big Chandeliers, and even bigger wine rack above a bar, healthy-looking green plants, nice tables n comfortable chairs and floor resembling a serene pond. The servers were nice, welcoming and friendly but few of them didn’t understand English well and they would come to take an order less than a minute after handing the menu which by the way is quite extensive for a non-Korean and that damn thing is bound like a precious dissertation. Anyway, unlike many other reviewers, I felt the attendants were nice, friendly and helpful regardless of their command in English. I tried a soft tofu with seafood soup. It came sizzling hot in a clay pot. It tasted meh, not downright disgusting, but pretty bland for a Korean food. It had too much tofu, a soft-boiled egg, some veggies, and very miniscule amount of what looked like seafood. The banchan was good as you expect of a Korean restaurant. That soft tofu just didn’t grow upon me; may be a bad choice on my part. Overall, it feels like a good place to get Korean-style BBQ especially when you are in a group because those items can be quite expensive.
