First time in the area and we decided to go to Ajumma based on Unilocal reviews. It was my first time also trying Korean food and just tried Tteokbokki as a safe choice(I didn’t want to be too adventurous with the sausages !). I loved it, it was spicy, but not too much, it was actually pretty enjoyable! Loved the garnishes and the simplicity of the place. We can’t wait to go back and try more dishes.

This place has really good Kimbap and blood sausage. I have yet to try other things on the menu but from what I’ve seen, it looks delicious. I crave blood sausage now that I’ve had some from here. For some it might taste off putting, but if you like kidneys and livers I think you would like this. The sausage is in a natural casing and made from cows blood and has the clear noodles. With the blood sausage you get some more organ parts and a little dipping seasoning. They only make so much Kimbap a day so get there early if you want some of the really good Kimbap. The restaurant has a nice homey feel and the workers are all really friendly and nice. They do accept credit cards here so that is a plus! There are a lot do good restraints in the area and I feel like this restaurant is one you should go to when you are in the area!

For a kimbap deli I thought they’d have a bigger variety. They only had veggie kimbap which it tasted fine I was hoping they would have beef/bulgogi variety like hmart usually dues but didn’t have today so I tried ajumma. The prices were reasonable but the kimbap kept falling apart on me. It was average kimbap to me.

This place is the place I come nearly EVERY time I visit Dallas. Yes they have blood sausage clear noodle and innards soup. They have donkatsu(fried pork cutlet), kimbap(korean style rice roll), o-dang tang(fishcake soup), bibimmyun(korean style spicy cold noodles), and much much more, too! I can’t really explain all the goodies they have here but all I can say is if you are looking for an authentic taste of Korea then this is your place. They are also located in the same plaza as Hmart, Yogurtland, Café Bene, and a lot of other places you could stop by for a taste of Korean culture. This place is self-service so make sure to take your plates back up to the front for them to pick them up off the shelf!

OMGTHESPICYKOREANSOONDAEBLOODSAUSAGEPLATEISMYCRAVE! To Americans that might sound revolting but trust me, it is DELICIOUS! Hot, spicy, with fried fresh jalapeños and huge chunks of sweet blood sausage filed with cellophane noodles and spices — If I was not writing this at the restaurant’s table, I’d be heading for the KimBob Deli right now! The cost is $ 10 for this plate of firey deliciousness, but for me it makes FOUR meals. The plate comes with rice and clear soup. Not into the spicy? Their Fried Pork Cutlet is also delicious, as are the various Korean sushi and rice rolls. We love the Kimbob deli — either of the Dallas locations are excellent, although this one is more upscale with booths for private dining. DEFINITELYGIVETHIS A TRY if you NEED spicy food — it gets the nose running and endorphins flowing!

Love the concept and the food. Simple menu with cafeteria style approach. Always very consistent with the quality of their food. Love their don katsu. Generous servings as well. Give them a shot

I absolutely love this place, and I am no longer living in Dallas, but I always come here when I visit Dallas. Being born in Korea, I miss snack foods like this that you only find on the streets in Korea. I love their fish cake soup, it reminds me of eating it in the streets in the winter in Korea. It is not too salty and warmed just right. The Korean sausage is an acquired taste. I feel like it’s something people really like or don’t like so much, but if you are not weirded out by eating intestines and such, it’d be great food to try out. It’s basically like a rubbery lining with noodles stuffed inside instead of meat like your traditional sausage. The korean sushi, most people like, as well as the donkatsu, which is pretty common. I pretty much got here everything I loved and took whatever I had leftover home. Definitely try this place out if you want to taste some real Korean street-like food.

Ahjumma is not the same… the menu is the same but the quality of the food is dropping. The rice cake dish was once filled with mixed vegetables(cabbage, carrots, onions) fish cake, rice cake, and egg. Recently they have been adding more vegetables than the rice cakes.

Cheap, big size, fresh and authentic! You can’t find a second shop that sells such good tonkatsu at such a low price!

I go here for my kimbab cravings for sure! The décor is simple, but that says nothing about the food. The pork cutlet and spicy seafood noodles are always my go to. The staff is very friendly and it’s definitely where I tend to go for my Korean fixes!

friend and I came for lunch, been here a couple times, usually packed with a line, this time no wait. Apparently our eyes are bigger than our stomachs and overate again ugh hehe. This visit was a bit unbearable dining in, it was soo hot!, even had to fan ourselves as we ate lol. Please turn on your AC! Kimbap– you get quality and quantity, its so addicting and cheap too! you’ll want to buy more to take home. We have had their Tteokbokki –really good, their sauce not overly sweet like some places, Tonkatsu– juicy and crispy, Soondae– moist and meaty, will try it stir fried next time, Soondaeguk– cooked right, w/offal no gaminess, Sausage Stew– literally spam, hotdogs and sausage stew, like the hotdogs, banchan– not so good and seems it only comes with their stews, but its okay main dishes make up for it!

Good price. Clean atmosphere… Very casual. No waitresses or waiters. And i think i like it better this way. Super friendly counter. And easy menu. They do seem to be very good at wut they specialize. Foods are clean and good. Proportions are just right. Not salty or not to spicy. Soon dae seemed right outa steamer. It wasnt dry. Donkatsu was thin and not to thin and perfect crispy with just the right amount of rice. My sis and i really enjoyed it. I prolly will be back with my husband.

I’ve heard great things about this place and they did not disappoint! We ordered a Korean rice noodle plate to share and boy was it spicy! Prepare your mouth and lips to be on fire! Had to eat some rice wrapped in seaweed to help put out the fire! This is my favorite part of Korean food! What’s a little upsetting is that they call the numbers out in Korean, so you have to be pay close attention for your number if you’re not a native speaker. But they prepare your food quickly!

I absolutely love this place because their kimbob is made fresh daily and is so cheap! One roll completely fills me up! Their tonkatsu is pretty good as well! The place is kind of small so sometimes finding a table can be difficult when they’re busy. This is a great place to grab lunch with friends or family!

FINALLYMADEITTOTHISPLACE! Woo Hoo! I’m a huge lover of kimbap and this place did not disappoint. What I actually loved about this place was not the kimbap(although very delicious), but it was another dish. The rice rolled in seaweed with a side of a mixed spicy squid/veggies dish — so delicious! The rice was cooked well and the seaweed added the perfect amount of flavor to the rice. Just rice and seaweed is that delicious you ask? YESITIS! I could eat that all day. We also ordered the spicy ricecake which came out to be a huge dish, enough to feed 4! Well, with some kimbap that is. Service is fast and quick and if you’re hungry, don’t worry about waiting a long time for your food. The kimbap is already made and wrapped so you can get it to go. The other cooked dishes don’t take too long to come out. I’d say I waited maybe 5 minutes on a busy Sunday lunch day. You can think of this place as a Korean semi-fast food restaurant. H-mart, you got some competition with Ajumma’s kimbap!

The kimbap(Korean’s sushi) here is ba-dang good. For $ 5, you can get a huge portion of kimbap at the counter. All the ingredients, including fish cake, meat, eggs, and vegetables are fresh and delicious. My favorite kimbap of all time is actually made by Peter H.‘s mom. I never thought I’d find something that tastes as good as Mrs. H’s kimbap, until I had Ajumma. Had their intestine stew and was not so crazy about it, or liked it at all. I’m sticking with the kimbap here next time. Peter, ask your mom to make me some kimbap PLEASE! Ajumma, why do you close so early(like fricking 7PM)?? Please extend your hours. K! Thanks!

Ajumma is notorious for their kimbob and they do kimbob well. However, my folks and I do not frequent Ajumma for their kimbob, donkatsu or anything else normally eaten on the menu. We go for one thing and one thing only, soon-dae. What is soon-dae you ask? For those with a weak stomach, I warn you about what I am about to write. For my non-Korean friends, I just refer to this as a Korean version of blood sausage. I love this stuff. I grew up eating it not knowing what it was. When I found out many years later, I didn’t care because it’s that tasty. It doesn’t look appealing, it doesn’t sound appealing, but it sure is delicious. Ajumma does soon-dae gook-bap(blood sausage rice soup) and soon-dae right. It’s the closest tasting soon-dae gook-bap that I’ve had in comparison to what I’ve had in Korea. I’ll take what I can get because not many places can do soon-dae gook-bap well. My folks usually send me to Ajumma to get both soon-dae gook-bap and soon-dae(usually a $ 5 strand) to-go. It only sets you back about $ 13 for a meal that is easily shared between 2 people. So I urge you non-Korean and adventurous Unilocalers to be daring. Don’t go for the usual, safe Korean entrees that are so loved and reordered time and time again. Try something new. Disclaimer: If you end up hating soon-dae, I apologize. I apologize that you do not recognize its greatness. That just means more soon-dae for me!

The best little place to get Korean comfort food and street food! I’m so glad that ajumma deli replaced the other business that was here. We stop by ever couple of months because we gotta get our fix! Their kimbap is pretty good and their soondae is awesome, reminds me of Korea. They mix half soondae and half innards if you ask for it or just can omit the innards but those are so yummy! I’ve gotten pretty much everything on their menu and everything is yummy. I recently tried their soondae bokkeum and omg was the best thing ever! Their jjolmyun is yummy with loads of veggies but ask for extra sauce cause they don’t add that much. Gotta try it out seriously the yummiest!

Ajumma is the Korean word used to call an old lady. They actually have two other locations around the Komart area but the Hmart location is fairly new. This place took over Orum. Just a tip Ajumma is known to Koreans as the place to go for soon dae soup. Soon dae soup is Korean sausage soup. Of course the kimbap is also well known here but not as much as the soup. I got the ttok bok e and kimbap both for under ten dollars. Ttok bok e was good and the right spiciness. Kimbap is sold by rolls, so one roll is what the picture shows and two rolls well you can figure that out. The hours are Tues-Sun 11−9pm or 8pm sorry I forgot but for sure closed on Monday.
