Called to ask about happy hour. The lady who answered the phone did not speak English. I understand that, but please give the phone to someone who does or at the very least do not scream NOENGLISH in an incredibly rude and frustrated tone. Will not be coming here or giving this place a chance.

Food is good but service is really terrible. No smiling, like we have beg them for the food. Like they do us a favor by walking by and ask us what we want. Terrible terrible. I won’t come back. Ever!!!

Spoon has been a longtime favorite of ours for a few years now. The management recently change and the restaurant has shifted its focus from being a bar-ish place to more of a restaurant. Me and my group of friends use to frequent Spoon on most weekends to have mainly drinks and sometimes order food but the drinks were the main attraction. Under the old management, the food service was pretty terrible. But now that their focus has shifted, the service has been great my past couple of visits. Not only does the food come out faster, but it also tastes better. My favorite dish is probably the padak which is basically crispy fried boneless chicken. The chicken is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It comes with two sauces… honey mustard and a tangy spicy sauce(which I prefer) alongside of pickled radish and spicy green onions. The place has an upstairs and downstairs dining area. Upstairs gives you slightly more privacy with multiple rooms that can fit parties of all sizes or you can enjoy the ambience of the restaurant by sitting at one of their tables. If you’re looking for a chill place that’s late night, has a variety of good Korean food, and a place where you can get drinks I recommend you try this place.

I wish I could remember leaving this place every time I’ve come here. I’ve been here plenty of times and I rarely ever have a bad experience. It’s definitely one of my favorite places to go to eat and drink. It’s open late and very chill for the most part. You can choose to grab a private room for your party or just sit out on the first or second floor and just watch TV. 10⁄10 will continue to come here!

Overall, it was pretty good. The sides are refillable and actually good. They have my favorite side, sweet potatoes! I got an appetizer that said fried sweet potatoes, but it came out as sweet potatoes fries :(. I was so disappointed. T-T my fault– The atmosphere is nice and the waiters are quick and fast. I would come here again :)

Great place to eat. Geared more to the korean drinking style of restaurants. 500cc Drafts for three dollars. Some reviews complained about bad service. They have the buttons at the tables that you ring for service. Apon pushing the button, someone Will be at your table in a matter of seconds. If you don’t ring, they leave you alone. Wish all restaurants in the states had this. Had spicy octopus. Was more than enough for two. Also bone soup and the pork cutlet. The specialty seems to be chicken. Was recommended, but we didn’t try it. Maybe next time. Great service. Excellent food.

I went for the first time today for dinner and ordered the pork belly dish. The restaurant has 2 stories and it was empty. The servers took forever in taking our order and our food came out late as well. The pork was on the dry side but it was enjoyable. The restaurant is more for drinkers so might not recommend for kids. It was an average korean restaurant but a little on tge pricier side.

food is not bad. Recommend the fried chicken with sauce on the side. Clean and not that busy.

Been here 4 times and figured it’s time for a review. Food: consistently good. Things we liked include bossam(grilled pork), beef bulgogi, and the tofu kimchi. Ambience: pub atmosphere. Great place to go late night to eat and hangout with friends over drinks. Service: once you realize that you have to push the service button on the table, service is very prompt. Price: slightly on the pricier side of Korean food.

I’ve always seen this place but never thought to try it until one day we decided to go for drinks. I really liked the place! Very chilled. They had a bar there and pretty good drinks. I think our server she didn’t understand us much. We wanted this crab dish we saw a picture of when we walked in but we totally got a different crab dish. It was still good but we really wanted to try the other dish. We got pineapple soju and the owner gave us a mini yogurt since it was strong we asked our server for another one since the lady said she will gives us more but then our server said it was out. We didn’t want to argue so we just didn’t ask for it. We also had ramen and it was Delish! I still had a good experience and don’t mind to come back. The service was still good just a bit of misunderstanding.

I can definitely see the appeal of walking into this huge restaurant when you’re already drinking late at night and need some good Korean food. I came here right at 5 pm by myself just to see what the food and atmosphere is like(I know, I’m lame) and ended up enjoying my time. I ordered the LA galbi(thin beef ribs) and a bottle of soju. My waitress was awesome and came within 3 seconds after pushing the red call button each time. Everything arrived promptly and everything including the banchan(sides) tasted great. The ONLY complaint here and the reason why this place will never get a five stars from me is the price. Yes, the food was really good, but I would say the average price per dish was about 18 bucks. That’s before drinks and any other kind of food. I, like many others would gladly shell out the money for good food, but I would never in a million years be able to convince my friends to spend 20 bucks on a few chicken wings. All I could think about was going next door and ordering something similar to the LA galbi for five bucks less and it also come with a huge bowl of tofu soup. In the end, I think people will come here just because they stay open until 2am.

I’ve been here multiple times are each time the service has been terrible. When we first walked in we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Workers saw us from a distance but still ignored us, we had to ask for someone to seat us. We upstairs and it is very cold. Downstairs is more warm! Even though we were ready to order and pressed the button, we had to push it multiple times until they came. I’ve ordered the fried chicken with sauce before and it was a brown sauce that was good but this time we ordered it again and it’s a red sauce that tasted like ketchup and siracha together… Kinda disappointing and it’s over priced too. I only came here for groupon and bc it’s open late. Probably won’t be coming back cause there’s better Korean places again.

The place is really nice, however the service was really lacking. Maybe it was a server having a bad day, but will definitely give it another shot some other time. When we first came in we were given the choice of being seated upstairs or downstairs. We sat upstairs, all of the tables have grills embedded in them. We noticed downstairs bar area actually looked nicer. The restaurant was really busy and looked like a lot was going on. We placed our order but think there may have been a language barrier bc we had to ask for things we had asked for with another server. The fried chicken was good and we also had the spicy squid and pork. The Kalbi was really greasy and fatty, but good. However, I was really looking forward to grilling out own meat. We noticed they had a variety of deserts, which they happen to have all ran out. Was really looking forward to it. Willing to give this place another shot, might come in earlier next time or a weekday when it’s not as busy.

The two of us walked in on a Friday night around 7pm and was greeted immediately with friendly service. There’s a button on each table that you can press for service, so pretty much within 30 seconds of pressing the button, a friendly server would come by to ask us what we needed. After we ordered, we got our drinks within 5 minutes and the side dishes within 10. I liked how they didn’t serve all the dishes at once, and timed it to perfection. Our only surprise was how large the dishes were. We ordered a seafood pancake(Haemool Pajeon) which was thicker and crispier than normal but so much better. They don’t skimp on the ingredients and it was loaded with seafood and veggies. We each had a huge slice before the Korean rolled omelette(Gyeran Mari) came with about 15 rolls for only $ 10 and tons of fresh cabbage underneath. We also ordered the fried chicken with sauce(Yang Nyeom Chicken) which was super crispy but a bit too sweet for my taste. Too bad we didn’t order beer or else I think it would be a perfect combo. Of course we couldn’t finish any of the dishes, so we had to pack up all the dishes which will probably be good for another two meals. We are definitely coming back with more people next time, so we can try more dishes.

This place was spectacular. By far the best Korean restaurant I have been to in Dallas. The place is large, clean, and modern. I recommend you sit on the 2nd floor. Our waiter Kevin was cool. They brought out the wrong food and I expected issues but they just took the food away and gave us the right order. Most Asian places will argue or make a big fuss but these people just replaced the food without any trouble. The portions were large the price was perfect. We left full and even had to take home food. I also love this place because the drinks are strong and you can eat and drink here. Most Asian restaurants do not serve alcohol. Everything tasted fresh and seasoned perfectly. The short ribs were not fatty and very meaty. They also have the best Kimchi. I didn’t leave feeling greasy like some other places. I will def return here many times. If you want to have a nice dinner party I would def recommend this place. They also have private rooms.
