Outstanding work handled professionally at a fair price. I have been using these folks for 8 – 10 years and their a solid company!

UPDATE: I went back to Mower Medic to ask for my spark plug and air filter back. The Manager was very apologetic. He agreed my experience shouldn’t have happened. He did give me a new spark plug and air filter free of charge. He also offered to complete what I asked to be done, but I declined.

PREVIOUS REVIEW:
I took my ’95 Lawn-​boy in because it was not getting fuel. I told them I replaced the carb last year. What I wanted done was 1.) Check that the carb doesn’t have something stuck or clogged jet AND 2.) Sharpen the blade.
2 weeks and 3 days later they finally call me with a $ 100+ quote for a TUNE UP!!! THAT’S NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR!!! Said it needed a new spark plug and air cleaner despite the fact I checked the spark plug (absolutely fine) and the air cleaner is BRAND NEW!!!
The guy then has the gall to tell me the blade wasn’t sharpened because it wasn’t on the work order! Bull S! It was clearly written on the copy of the work order I have.
I am a classic car guy, a hobbyist mechanic. I’ve rebuilt V8’s. I just thought I could rely on someone who could save me time. WRONG!
This place the the exact reason I was taught how to work on my own cars because mechanics do nothing but treat everyone like idiots and then screw them over.
You can keep my $ 25, that loss is a learning experience so next time I know to just do it myself.
Good Help just doesn’t exist.
EDIT: While I have begun repairing my lawnmower, I’ve discovered the Air Filter and Spark Plug are MISSING!!!

My experience was okay, but very pricey. If I had the time and full knowledge of the cost I would have bought a new mower. Their reason for having to rebuild a carburetor on a six month old mower didn’t make a lot of sense. That said, the mower runs fine again, but what it cost to fix it was near the price of a new mower. And they said nothing was covered by the Briggs & Stratton warranty. Several neighbors as I’m finding out later have had very costly experiences and less than stellar performance with their equipment over time. Some have even said that work guarantees were not honored by Mower Medic. I know that in the future I will be using a neighborhood repair guy who could have done the same work for a third of the cost and in one day.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with these folks. They rehabilitated my old Honda mower for a fair price and now it is as good as new. When I bought a Stihl leaf blower from them I didn’t understand the starting procedure well enough and fouled the plug by flooding it so many times. I took in in the shop and they fixed it on the spot with a new plug and didn’t charge me. It is hard to find that kind of service these days.
