This place has gone downhill. New ownership maybe? A few months back we placed an order over the phone and it was majorly messed up. We decided to come in for dinner since our preferred Italian restaurant in grapevine was closed. We were literally the only people dining. Mind you it was super bowl Sunday. But again customer service was lacking. You would think because they weren’t busy that the service would be good. It was just a bunch of kids talking in the kitchen(because you can hear everything they say from the dining area!!) good luck getting bread if you ask for it also. We will not be back at all. Food is good but not service.

The restaurant is dingy looking on the inside with décor from the 90s. The service is really sloppy. None of the staff are rude, but they are definitely clueless. As far as food goes, I’ve never had anything I didn’t like. It’s not a sophisticated place, but it’s good if you are craving Italian food without the pish posh. This restaurant has a lot of potential to do better, but right now it’s just okay.

Bad customer service! Restaurant closes at 10pm. We called at 9:20 for pizza carry out and they told us they stop taking orders at 9:30. I told them it’s 9:20 and he said just stopped taking orders. I got irritated and hung up the owner is losing a lot of business.

Went tonight for dinner(3 adults and 1child dined in and 1 Meal to go). The kitchen was Slow to get us out food, once we did it was all wrong. Pizza didn’t come out as order– but it was good, ordered a small and got a large, asked for half Alfredo sauce and half red, received a half cheese bread pizza and half meat pizza. Best part– I was still charge full price for toppings on a pizza they only put them on half. Surprised bc I was punished for their error at 2.25 per topping and we had 5 toppings. My pasta was wrong I ordered it meat sauce and meatballs but came out with meat sauce and mushrooms, but again this mess up was tasty. The lemon chicken had way too many capers making the dish taste like a 12 $ bowl of salt. Small Resturant so noise level is high at dinner. Not a fan of Italian Villa and wish I could get my $ 90 back.

I’ve been going to this place for about a year and I’ve seen some new faces come and go but the experience is always the best all in all the food and service are great I give the place a 5 star rating because even when their not doing great and they get slammed they do pull through think about it people when your in a restaurant and see the place is packed don’t expect your food to be out in 15 minutes there are probably a good 10 orders ahead of you I see all these negative reviews and I’m disappointed in the people leaving them the staff is there to serve us no doubt but they are not our servants I will continue to come here and bring my family because we love it and for any new comers try the chicken Murphy with or without jalapeños its hands down the best even on a pizza

A true hidden gem. Tried this place after moving in to the area several months ago and have been back several times since. Dine in, carry-out, or delivery gives you great options. Chicken parm is delicious and my go-to, and the bread you get beforehand is amazing. Worth a try if you like Italian dishes or pizza.

First time and last time. I feel like I wasted $ 30 on below average food. I ordered a fettucine with shrimp and crab meat called Fettuccine Adriatika. The crab was obviously fake and tasted strange and very fishy. I counted 5 pieces of shrimp and MOUNDS of overcooked linguine in a flavourless sauce. My partner in crime’s dish was a veal saltimbocca which seemed better, but he reported that it was just okay. To make matters worse, it took over 30 minutes to get our order on the table. The bread was tasty, but the salad was not great. The house dressing was not balanced, with more vinegar taste than anything. Extremely sour… and this is from someone who loves sour! In any case, the server was great, but the kitchen part was horrible.

The food is pretty decent. The service is horrendous! We walked in at 9:30 on a Friday and a server told us they were closed when on the door it clearly said they were open until 10. I didn’t want to argue with him but he was very rude with us. Needless to say I will not be back.

I kept hearing great things about this place so we decided to give it a try. The first time we went it was just okay. Maybe I had gotten the wrong thing for my meal. We decided to try it a second time and our experience was awful. First off the bread came out burnt. How do you mess up bread? We asked for some more and it still came out burnt. It was a slow greet, probably 5 or 6 minutes. Also it looked like there was 1 server on the floor and about 4 cashiers just standing around doing nothing. We actually saw our food on the expo and employees just standing around talking. You could tell our server did not want to be there. I dont think he smiled once. Being in the service industry, I am pretty understanding of slow service if it is busy. But it wasnt! The food was below average. Will not be returning. If you are looking for a good little Italian place try Amore in The Colony!

The experience was terrible. The service was slow. The bread was hard. The salad was too small to be considered a full portion. However the worst part was the pizza. It took forever to come to the table. The server placed it on a tray off our table and then walked away leaving our family of three to serve ourselves. After serving one slice to my husband we could all see that the pizza was runny. We ordered three toppings but you would think we ordered a jalapeño pizza because that was the most plentiful topping. We didn’t eat the pizza. Not one slice. Yet the owner who was not on the premises told the waiter to tell us that she could offer us 40% off. Really??? We were beyond outdone! Finally we were able to get the pizza taken off the bill. They are all independently owned so go to the Allen location and the experience will be golden. One star only because the app doesn’t allow zero stars.

Rounding up from 2.5 stars. I had considered trying Italian Villa before since it’s so close to me, but I never heard any great things about it. My party and I were actually heading to Papa’s Italiano down the street from here, but they were closed so this is where we ended up. So I’m kind of naturally comparing the two. It’s fairly dark inside(at least during dinner), and we weren’t given a friendly greeting– not a good start. The staff were very short with us and unprofessional. The bread that came with our meals was overdone, so we were picking out the good parts. But the good parts were GOOD, so I could imagine how they taste when they’re done right! I ordered the baked tortellini, and the pasta were so small that not much cheese was able to be packed inside. This dish was majorly lacking in flavor, and the sauce was way too runny for my liking. I thought the portions were a little small for the price also. I might give them another try, but I would definitely order something different.

The Pizza here is 5 star quality Thin Crust New York style. Not Neapolitan, not wood fired but not everywhere in Italy is woodfired either and this place is closeby and definitely always good. I get a tomato garlic and basil pizza. Ask for the tomatoes to be sliced otherwise they quarter them and it all gets soggy. I wouldnt order their other food but they do a great job on the pizza. My gypsy from New York, loves their pie, so you have an Italian and a New Yorker who love this pizza that means you need to go.

Taste is good, portions seemed weird this time around. We usually consider this our go to Italian in the Lewisville/Carrollton/The Colony area, but today I got a few chicken strip nugget sized chicken with my Chicken Piccata.

Extremely poor, start to finish. Poor service, appetizer didn’t come, one meal arrived 45 minutes before the rest. Lasagna was horrible, pizza and meatball sub were ok at best. Waitress didn’t come by to refill drinks(she may have been too embarrassed). Spoke with manager, who discounted the bill. She clearly wasn’t in control of her restaurant. I won’t be back.

I was a tad disappointed with this place. Went on a Friday night and it was pretty packed which I thought was a good sign. Picked up take out(chicken Alfredo add shrimp and the shrimp adriatika for my mom. My alfredo was ok but pretty bland. I had to add garlic salt, seasoning salt, and a little parsley to get it to my liking. I also didn’t like the fact they use shrimp with the tail still on. It DID taste fresh though and it also didn’t seem like it was that much in the portion. My mom HATED her adriatika and couldn’t believe they would use IMITATION crab meat and hers was bland as well. On another note, I would like to go back again to try some of there other dishes to see if I can find one that hits the spot.

Been coming to this place for a while and the food has always been pretty good. I recommend getting one of the entrees rather than pizza(their pepperoni is too greasy and the sausage too salty). I think my favorite fluctuates from the Chicken Aristocrat and Chicken Di Napoli. My husband and kids love the chicken murphy. The Pink sauce is the best. We suggested long ago that they should serve it as a side like gravy and a few months later they added it to the menu.
