Cowboy Chicken

It used to be good but the last few times I’ve been served either cold checken or cold sides that are supposed to be hot. What’s up?

Ordered about 6 different orders for my department. some cash and some card. There was a bit of a mix up with which order was paying on the cards and then later got a call back because of a computer crash and had to give all my card info again. Regardless of all that, the effort to make up for the mistakes was outstanding. I felt well taken care of and the lengths that was made to make sure I was a satisfied customer makes me want to come back again. Plus the food is amazing. :)

Delivery + Family dinner = everyone happy! Ordered dinner for the family last night from here-​everyone got to pick a side and the rolls were yummy. I like that chicken is healthy and you can get healthy sides (even though the Mac and cheese is what I really wanted!) there was even left over food :)

Sorry Cowboy Chicken… I wanted to like you. But we got a very mixed bag of food and service. We had never tried you before. So we thought we’d treat ourselves for Mother’s Day. We ordered the family pack with extras so we could try out a selection. Website and delivery went smooth. Well that is expect for the Chicken Enchiladas. Instead of putting our order into 2 bags, it was all crammed into one. The lid of the enchiladas and chicken smashed. We had enchilada sauce covering everything below it and in the chicken container. A mess to clean just getting to our food. Driver apologized and told us the manager would call and should take the enchiladas off our bill. (No call back. I’ve tried to talk to a manager for 3 days. I’ve left my name and number. No call back.)
The chicken was juicy. The twice baked potatoes, fried okra and corn nuggets were good. The skin of the chicken and the enchilada sauce (covering much of our chicken) was VERY salty. But the green beans seemed to have no salt and tasted raw. The peach cobbler was tasty but mush, not cobbler.

The food is really delicious but the wait was ridiculous, maybe they just forgot our orders? I ordered online and set my pick up time for 11:20 my order did not even come out until 11:35. A friend of mine placed his order for 11:30 and his was ready by 11:25? I don’t understand how that happens. Then my friend ordered 2 soups and only got 1. This was beyond frustrating

I ate here on superbowl sunday. I was craving chicken and decided this would be a good alternative to fried chicken.
The chicken was very salty. It was juicy but the skin was almost too salty to eat.
I had the mac and cheese, the beans and the twice baked potatoes as sides. The potatoes and the mac where dry and the beans where sort of plain. Not a fan.

Was ok while it lasted but they sold out to Grub Hub and will not deliver with Postmates or Door Dash anymore. Done with this.

The corn fritters are great as is the cowboy taco. Another good bet are the chiken enchiladas. So as for sides the greenbeans and cream spinach are also really good in addition to the corn fritters

What the heck? Their macaroni used to be baked and have a nice crispy top. Now it’s just like the stuff out of the blue box. Really disappointing since the mac & cheese was the best thing here.

Great food and fast delivery! I love their twice baked potatoes. We order from here several times a month when we don’t feel like cooking. Friendly staff too.

I love Cowboy Chicken! Wood-​fired beats a grocery store rotisserie any day. Everything I’ve had here has been delicious, and the service is always fast and friendly. They advertise all natural chicken, but I’m not sure exactly what that means. If I heard local, free-​range and organic for all of their food, I’d be eating there a lot more often.

I really like this place in their food. You get a pretty large portion for a reasonable price. Their chicken is full of flavor but their side dishes could be a little better. The staff was friendly and helpful and the place was very clean.

People seem friendly and the atmosphere was quaint. However rotisserie chicken was served cold and it was dry. Had to dip the chicken in barbecue sauce in order to eat it. Twice baked potatoes looked and tasted like broccoli and rice casserole without the broccoli (not my understanding of twice baked potato)!!!

Cowboy Chicken is one of the best places for rotisserie chicken. The sides are great too, especially their potatoes and beans. Now is the season for their apple cobbler which is the perfect dessert after dinner. We enjoy it every time we visit!

I have been going here for years and have always had a good experience. Today was horrible! They had one person on the register and a long line. There were other workers milling around but no one opened a second register. Call in orders seemed to be the priority. It was a mess! Then it took way too long to get the food and most of it was lukewarm at best. Won’t be coming back anytime soon and this was one of our favs.

Cowboy Chicken… a great name for a great little barbecue joint! Unsure if this is a chain or not, a friend and I decided to check it out because the prices seemed reasonable. As we stepped out of the car and smelled that delicious smokey barbecue smell that gets your stomach screaming for smoked chicken and ribs, we knew we were at the right place.
You walk into a smaller dining area – probably holds 40 – 50 people I’d say – and you walk right up to the counter to order. No more than five minutes after ordering the barbecue drumstick platter does my food arrive piping hot and looking delicious. Add on my sides of Mac and cheese and green beans and my mouth is watering to the max. Now for the drumsticks: a little too cooked for my taste. When I bite into a drumstick I want that juicy dark meat flavor spilling onto my tongue, and what I got were some flavorful, yet dry pieces of chicken. This may have just been a little too long in the smoker or just a bad day for the grill master, but as the sides, the barbecue sauce, the staff, and the ambience were so fantastic, I’ll definitely be back for a second, third, and probably fourth go-​round.

Good food, fast service, crowded lunch, decent price.
Great for a work lunch outing. Lunch special is a decent portion for 5.99. Chicken is good. Service leaves something desired but for the price you can’t go wrong.

We love eating here every time we come to Plano. It is fast friendly and fresh. The sides are to die for and the chicken is fun to watch as it spins around the rotisserie.

In one word: Delicious.
Cowboy chicken was closed for awhile for remodeling. Stopped by here with the teen girls before heading to the dallas Stars game. I ordered the veggie platter with their cucumber tomato salad, corn fritters, and twice baked potatoes. If you like potatoes get the twice baked as these are their signature side item. They also offered this raspberry tea that was fresh brewed and delicious. Overall cowboy chicken offers great counter customer service and consistently good casual dining food experience.

Cowboy chicken is basically a rotisserie chicken place where you can feed your family. Their chicken is excellent, and they have decent sides. This place is a great alternative to those greasy chicken places like KFC, or Chicken express. My husband really likes to get the enchiladas there. This place is a good family dinner place if you have to eat out on a random night.
