Carrollton Square Spa and Salon

I visited the salon last weekend for the first time. Shea was wonderful! She gave me the perfect cut and color (red bayalage) I was looking for! Shea & rest of the staff were extremely friendly. I’ve already highly recommend this salon to family and friends. You will not be disappointed!

I always love my time with Naina for a facial or a massage. Either is a real treat for me and something I do not get to do often due to my crazy schedule. She takes good care of me and helps me to relax and feel pampered!

Wow. I came back to this salon for a cut/​style with Shea and she seriously could not have been better! After my old stylist moved away I had such anxiety over haircuts and Shea diminished that after just one cut. I now enjoy styling my hair each day, and love the way it looks every single day.
I also went in for a chair massage with Naina… She blew me away. Easily the best chair massage I have ever received. Due to my migraines, I have received many, many chair massages to help relieve upper body tension, Naina’s massage was simply perfect, and I will definitely be back for her to ease any tension I may have in the future!

I saw Shea last week for color, highlights, and cut and I love the way it all turned out! My hair looks better than it has in years and it feels really smooth and soft. The color and cut are just what I wanted. I’m so glad I found Shea!

I am so impressed with this spa! Shea is the best thing that has ever happened to my hair and my eyelashes! I cannot rave enough about this spa it is absolutely amazing! Shea is absolutely wonderful with hair and she is so nice and fun! I got my hair done for my wedding and everyone is so impressed and my lashes make me not even need makeup! I highly recommend this place!!!

My bride and I went back to CSS on 5÷9÷15. The bride had Naina again and I tried Jessica for my first time. Both of these ladies are incredible. Yes, we are going back soon.

I get my eyebrows waxed by Melissa regularly. She is great. Before I went to her, my eyebrows were a mess but they look SO much better now! I would definitely recommend her for waxing.

I have been a customer of Shea’s for some time, she does amazing color and I always get a ton of compliments when my hair is done by Shea!

Between the slimming wrap and the pumpkin facial, I walked out with a sparkling, fresh, whole new attitude. The best use of a half day off work ever!

I found this place on Groupon on good deals and I wanted to try it out. First time coming here I wasn’t sure what to expect from the look on the outside. The spa is small and hard to find.
I was greeted by the receptionist. She told me what they offered and needed me to fill up the form. I picked microdermabrasion treatment. After that I had to wait for 30 minutes before someone came and sent me to the massage room. It smells really nice. The staff asked me about my problems. ACNE PIMPLES and stuffs. She was so friendly and knowledgable. She recommended me what I should take care of it.
I got a massage and a facial microdermabrasion. Both services were amazing. It made me feel relaxed and calm. I usually go to spa like every two months. I wonder why I don’t do this more often.
By far this place is amazing. I plan to return to do facial massage again soon.

I had originally booked a massage appointment for a deep tissue massage. I came in and checked in, had to do some paperwork… and they asked me if I wanted anything to drink. It was a bit chilly outside, so I decided on some coffee.
Soon enough my therapist came to greet me, Chris Forte. He was so awesome. He even decided to let me try a lava shell massage instead, and I died and went to heaven and back, haha. One of the best massages I have ever had. I had a groupon which is how I found out about this place, and the price with groupon for the lava stone massage is perfect. Without it though, a bit steep for me.
I came back a second time and visited a Naina Adatia. I booked a lava stone massage again… and sadly the lava stones were not getting hot enough for my massage. A bit of a disappointment because I was comparing it to my original wonderful massage by Chris. I have not been back since… but this place is a very cute place.

One of my favorite spots in Carrollton. Locally owned, so they can customize anything you need. Amazing prices, fantastic service.

Fail. Went for a Brazilian wax through a Living Social deal. The woman who gave the service admitted to being a novice at it after 40 painful minutes and told me I’d have to come back. I left with painful skin and had to return the following day to get the job completed by someone with more experience. I received a call one hour before my appointment from the second aesthetician to tell me she was running late and that if I could come a half hour later that would be perfect for her. Strike 2. The end result was, without going into too much detail, an incomplete job. A very unfortunate experience. Not going back.

I wish I can give this place a negative ZERO stars! IT SUCKS A$$!!!
I went there with my sister and we went to go get facials. We got the EXACT SAME massage done. In the end, we compared our massage jobs, and they didnt even do the same thing they did to her. I got my hands and feet massaged and she did NOT at all. She got a hot stone rubbed on her face and i did NOT. We were like what kind of institution are they running? We even looked at the facial description AGAIN on the spa MENU and it was NOTHING compared to what we had gotten done, not to mention the facial was only 20 minutes.
After we discussed each of our massages to eachother (my sister and i), we called the spa and complained. The owner decided to give us a complimentary facial again and asked us to come in. I guess that was nice but time is precious now a days. I dont have time for a RE-​DO! And my sister was from out of town visiting!
Then, my bf and I decided to get a couples massage a few months later bc a friend of mine gave me a couples massage gift card to this place (YUCK)…and the massage sucked. The menu said they will put rose petals everywhre and this and that. well this spa is all talk no game!
TALK IS CHEAP. Dont put stuff on ur menu that u will not follow for your customers.
The prices may be cheap. So i guess you get what you pay for.

I do not get to come into town very often, so I called on Friday to see if I could get an eyebrow waxing on short notice — I asked for Melissa who was booked back to back. After a little searching the girl on the line said Melissa had ONE opening at 4:30pm on Saturday to which I enthusiastically replied «I’LLLLLL TAKE IT!» and gave my name and contact phone number.
Unfortunately, I got there today and was told they had no record of my appointment with Melissa and had absolutely no way of getting me in. This was a bummer, considering I have to go back to college (out of state) on Sunday. The receptionist (I don’t remember her name) was a little «cold» and didn’t seem to really admit the error on their end, but she did call across the street to Lemon Lime Studio (who are apparently their sister salon?) and they were able to get me in. At Lemon Lime they explained there had been a bit of a glitch in their system due to Groupon and while I understand technological hiccups happen… the way it was handled was unacceptable. I may be back to give them a new review… I may not, we shall see.

Went into Carrollton Square Spa to get my eyebrows done yesterday since my normal girl wasn’t able to fit me in this week. I was able to get an appointment very quickly and the service was relatively cheap. Only $ 20 for brow & lip wax. Here are some pros & cons:
PROS:
— Availability of appointments (called at 2pm, got an appointment for 5pm)
— Cost
— Location (super close to my work)
— Friendly staff
CONS:
— Quality of work, there was a hole in the bottom of my eyebrow when she finished & then she claimed she didn’t know how it happened. Also, she kept saying «I’m a perfectionist» but I left with several hairs un-​plucked or waxed & had to fix it when I got home. Finally, I left with oil and sticky wax residue ALL over my face and had to clean up before running an errand on my way home.
Overall it was an alright experience and I may be back, but next time I will be more specific on what I want & don’t want.

I came to Carrollton Square Spa because i purchased a Groupon deal that was good for an 1 hour massage. What i got was a steam tent where they basically assembled a tent over my body and let my body steam up — apparently it helps you sweat out toxins and such. Seriously, if i wanted to sweat out toxins, i would’ve just sat outside in the texas heat!
I didn’t get a massage. The lady didn’t even touch me. I didn’t feel pampered. I left feeling like i had wasted my money and time:(

I really needed a spa day to relax after a crazy work week and stress of my upcoming wedding, but I couldn’t justify the prices of some of the other larger local spas. So given all the rave reviews, I decided to give Carrollton Square Spa a try. Definitely glad I did!
The salon is very small, very intimate, and extremely cute. Do not come expecting anything like a larger scale spa — no steam rooms or locker rooms or anything, just several treatment rooms with a cute reception area/​lobby at the front. It’s kind of a shame that the spa is situated in an area that can prove to be kind of noisy at times — ie, cars honking, train coming by occasionally, etc. No fault of the spa (they take measures to drown out the ambient sounds), but still somewhat noticeable and mildly distracting. Overall, the place is quite pleasant, and in between treatments there’s a small secondary waiting area separate from the front lobby where you can lounge in your robe and slippers while the next treatment room is prepared. It’s a little awkward since that secondary waiting area is also the main access to all the treatment rooms, but it’s still a relaxing little nook.
For my first treatment, I had my brows waxed and a salt scrub by Deanna — both were fantastic! She didn’t go nuts on my eyebrows, and gave me great pointers about caring for my skin after a salt scrub (no tanning for 48 hours — great tip for a bride who’s clearly trying to get a hint of color!).
Next, I had a steam treatment immediately followed by a Swedish massage. I had my doubts about the steam tent — I’ve never experienced one before, and for the first 5 minutes or so I thought the thing wasn’t working since I didn’t feel any steam, but once the machine got into full gear, it was heavenly. I think I’d come back just for another steam tent experience — but longer next time! The massage from Pennie was excellent. I get frequent sports massages (most often just focusing on leg work from running), so it was nice to get some all-​over relief. The pressure was perfect — firm but not intense like a deep tissue or sports massage. It was exactly the right combination of relaxing and effective.
I think I’ll definitely go back, but I really enjoy some of the steam room/​sauna amenities offered at other larger places, so for that reason alone (despite that it’s purely personal preference), I give Carrollton Square Spa only 4 stars rather than 5. I think money aside, my preference would be places with more amenities.
